#OC: Aziel Rosemary

And with exams done (for now) and celebrations with friends over with, it's time for OC lore/ worldbuilding!

Because I just realized, for years I never got around to introduce what the main cast is even fighting against 💀

Sombria, a mysterious species that has been terrorizing the world since the beginning of known history.

Not much is known of its origins, aside from theories of its connection to the Aerial Ruins, and how it was the reason why the ruins even became such in the first place. So for the time being, we can only discover as we go.

The Sombrias have a lanky physique, yet are extremely nimble and powerful. It uses its claws as the main method of attack, but it can also use the crystals growing on its back for defensive purposes.

However, Sombrias traded their health for strength, leading to most having extremely low health, and are very easily defeated. Of course, there are exceptions such as the Canic class Sombria, which traded its health for speed, and the Defenic class, which traded its strength instead for defense.

Sombrias have two weaknesses: one is the light of the sun, which is why attacks are more often at night or during cloudy days; and the other is the light from the Resonant Gem, which, after a number of damages to its body, should be able to defeat it.

It is recommended that Sombrias should be defeated as soon as it was reported due to its ability to reproduce via crystal chunks from older Sombrias, leading to an area becoming infested. Not to mention the surfacing of a disease known as Crystallization caused by prolonged stay in an infested area, leading to the leaders pushing for more drastic measures against the Sombrias in the recent years.

That is all for now, more details about classes of Sombrias and its environmental effects shall be delve deeper in a later report.

Yeah hi uh. This is Ally from @cheezyharu, I need somewhere to archive my arts on tumblr and not let them be overshadowed by my other reblogs, and so this place exist.

Project Rosemary: An original story. Basically the world is riddled with monsters known as Sombrias and only people known as Illuminaires can defeat them. Our protagonist, Aziel, is an Illuminaire in training attending an academy specialized in training them, and together with his schoolmates, shenanigans ensues.

Song OC: Canon divergence rhythm games AU except idk what canon is and am just fucking around. It revolves around Song Gijinkas I made called Songs (I suck at naming lol). Technically the main AU is Phigr.Os Program, and is mainly about Phigros orginals, but since it's not just Phigros songs that has gijinkas, but also other games like Chunithm (and other games that had a collab with Phigros), I'll tag as this to generalize them.

Pokemon OC: Just a series of Pokemon Gijinkas I made over the years. I usually only come back to this tag every Pokeddexy so... don't expect much.

Misc. OC: Guys in other franchises that I don't draw much but am still into, or ones that just don't belong in any project/fandom in particular. That's it lol.

The urge to OC lore is real, even in the middle of AP exams.

"Ever since I resonated with the Aquamarine in our first Illuminaire training session, I've been having the same strange dream on and off."

"Like... Some nights, I'd find myself waking up in a field of flowers, I would be wearing full armor for some reason, and in front of me would be... Someone. I don't... Really know how to explain about him, he looks like me, but isn't me... I guess? He seems very cold, and doesn't talk much, so for most nights we would just wander around the scene together, and I would talk about random topics for hours."

"... He rarely ever said anything those nights, but I sure hope he enjoyed those rants I made..."

Ok, lore pt. 2. Let's do this.

Resonant Gems have been existing for a long time, and are known to be the only item than can effectively defeat the Sombria.

We don't know the origin of these gems, aside from the theories of it and the Sombria's connections to the Aerial Ruins, but blueprints and several gems have been passed down through generations, allowing us to continuously producing and using it.

In its base form, it's just a simple, white gemstone. However, once "resonated" with it, which involves the user interacting with the gem, it should be able to grant its user the ability to control certain aspects, or the natural elements of the world. (After the first resonation, it should be noted that the gem will change its color into something closer to its owner's eye color.)

Another peculiar thing about these gems is that, after its owner had passed, it can be inherited by another person who, under special circumstances, can continue using it. Otherwise, if no one can continue resonating with it, it would simply become just a normal gem: a souvenir, nothing more, nothing less.

As for the Illuminaires, it is a special force formed by the Luxuvius family after they took over the throne around 500 years ago to combat against the rampant number of Sombrias. There are five existing classes: strikers, tankers, supporters, rangers, and healers, which will be registered by an Illuminaire when they first became a trainee, and cannot be changed. All Illuminaires are to be assigned into teams of four to battle together.

"Yeah. From what bit that was translated..." "... The first Resonant Gem to be created is known as the 'Aquamarine of Origin'... and it can vaporize literal armies of Sombrias in one fell swoop."

OCs V3… V2? 4??? Idk I finally found time to fuck around with their designs for the first time since… idk the last time I made a concept with them was last year?

Lucas and Alis’s previous design was their V2, if my math is mathing, I lost their V1 since I did that on my old phone, which is… currently collecting dust and also the power button is scuffed by the time I switched the phone 3(?) years ago

For some reason I never got around to finish Aziel and Lumia’s V2 concept, I don’t think I even started on it and just… completely forgot about it until recently… so the V1 (that I found miraculously still on my artfight) will do…

"PLEEEAAASSSE?"

"Common now," the teal apparition whined "we've been together for 12 years now, common just this once?"

"And YOU have been alive for 7000 years." The silver haired girl replied, "haven't you have more than enough chance to try it?"

"BUT-"

The argument goes on, to Alis, this is a normal ordeal between her and the elusive apparition for years, she sees it, and it sees her. Yet, to outsiders, this looks more like a girl having an existential crisis about eating than an argument between two living (sort of, the apparition is an apparition for a reason) beings.

"Sooo..." The one winged teen slides over to her cousin, Lucas "Is this... Normal?"

"Yes." Lucas answered with almost no hesitation, he can feel the purple apparition behind him turning away in embarrassment as it looks at its sibling's banter "You'll get used to it."
