Today I decided to draw Duke, my first OC and imaginary friend of many years, as an anthro!! 💕 i missed him so much!

Aaaand because they look better in sequence, here’s all four together! I can’t believe I did all four of these in only two days, I’m so exhausted. I don’t normally draw characters interacting so this was a fun challenge! I definitely wanted to tell a bit of a story with these, so I hope it comes across. 

Gold (left) and Duke (right) are two of my OCs, and they have a certain rival dynamic that I just really love - the angry one who tries so hard to prove themself, and the cocky, self-assured one who doesn’t even see the other as a threat.

Another one of this boy, Duke! Trying to play around with mixing medieval/modern fashion. Duke’s world is feudalistic and still uses swords and stuff, but they also have more modern technology like cars. Duke is... well... a duke, but he’s also a trained swordsman who was prophesied to save the world. That makes him basically a celebrity, and every brand wants to sponsor him.

To end the decade, artistically, I decided I wanted to go back and redraw the very first thing I ever posted on my Deviantart, and it just happened to be almost exactly 14 years ago! And it was a character that I’ve been working on revising recently. 

It was fun doing this redraw! My understanding of anatomy and design has come a long ways since high school.
