I'm sure all my cql posts start to sound repetitive. Whenever I go to make one I should just find the one I've already made and be like 'please refer to post 16263 which explains why wq/jc would be a disaster and make jc miserable and also why its shippers are misogynists' or 'see post 2768 about how unhealthy jc and wwx's relationship was despite it being genuinely mutually loving" and 'attached is my series of essays on how lwjs character is chronically underdeveloped and he often comes off as one-note but I love him anyway because my god, what a romantic lead' and such

#maybe i talk mostly about jc. what can i say he is a rich character study and people are literally bonkers about him #the real thing that baffles me after all this time is why people go so hard for nmj in particular #yeah hes a good guy who met a tragic end and hes very handsome and his sword is sexy #but hes not rly a deep character? nhs is a fabtastic character so nie fans i get #the sworn brothers have some interesting dynamics going on i guess but not enough to maintain them as the focus of yr experience #just for me. i dont have issues w 3zun fans as long as they arent weird abt jgy. and jgy is a great villain #OH also the ppl onsessed w xy. yes hes fucked up snd entertaining but hes not THAT complicated #ppl just love....villians ig #yi city as a whole unit is very good but characters function best as players in that specific situation #as parallels and tragedies...not their own story #a very good parallel but ultimately paling in comparison to the actual protag #like wwx has more going one than like. any 5 other characters #this isnt always a good thing like a ton of characters are terribly flat and boring #moreso in the novel though #including lwj my severely underwritten beloved #but in the end wwx shines on through bc thats what hes supposed to do 🥰 my most beloved with the radiant smile #cql txp
