“Guys, what’s that?”

The members turn around and see something lingering behind the house. “Hmmm...I don’t know. It looks like a figure.” RM says. Suga takes a step forward. 

“Guys, it’s not just a figure. It’s a zombie.” 

“What?! A zombie?!” J-Hope says. “We gotta warn Navya and Jin!” Jimin says. He runs to the bounce house and starts waving his hands. 

“Navya! Jin! Watch out!”

Meanwhile, Jin and I are still having fun jumping around. “I don’t want this to never end!” Jin says, while jumping. “It’s the best day ever!” I sing. Jin and I burst out laughing so hard that we both lose our balance and fall to the floor. Tears streamed out of our eyes.

I take a step closer and hear what Jimin says. I turn around and scream.

A zombie was trying to get inside the bounce house.

“A zombie?! How did it find us?!”

“No time! We gotta go! Now!” 

I grab Jin’s hand and we both exit the house. We put our shoes on. “There you are! We thought you wouldn’t hear Jimin!” V says. Jungkook sees the zombie has teared the bounce house net and gotten inside the house! And, now it’s heading for the entrance! 

“Uh, guys! We better get going! Look!” 

We all turn around and scream. “Run!” RM says. We all run with the other people around us to the entrance of the carnival. We gasp when we get there. There’s a whole army of zombies surrounding us! The other people run, leaving us there. “What are we gonna do?!” Suga says. “Maybe we could split up so it’ll be harder for the zombies to catch us!” J-Hope says. “Good idea! Let’s do it!” Jimin says. We all break up and go different paths. 

“Come on, Navya! Let’s hide!” Suga says, grabbing my hand. We both run and find a barrel to hide behind. “This is just like yesterday! What if we don’t make it?!” I ask. “We will! Don’t say that!” Suga says.

“I’m just afraid that I’m gonna lose you guys.” 

Tears stream down my face. I wipe them with my hands, but they keep coming. I wrap my arms around his waist and he wraps his arms around me. Then, I cry. Loudly.

“Jimin! V! There you guys are! I was so worried!” 

I give them both hugs. “Where are the others?” Suga asks. “I don’t know. We haven’t seen them.” Jimin says. “Then, let’s go and find them!” V says. We all look around everywhere. A few minutes later, no luck. “Where could they be? We’ve looked all around!” I say. Then, we hear voices.

“Guys!”

We turn around. It was the other members!

Yoongi pulls out...wait for it...wait for it...a knife. Everyone is shocked and surprised. “Hyung, how...” Jimin says. 

“Here they come. I’ll handle this.”

Suga defeats all the zombies with that one knife. All of us are just in shock, still.

“I seriously have no words right now.” I say. “Me neither. Let’s go home.” RM says. We all head to the parking lot. Once we get there, it is time to say goodbye. “I had a lot of fun with you all today.” I say. “Us, too. We can’t wait to do it again someday.” Jin says. “Will I ever see you all again?” I ask. “Maybe. We don’t know when, though. Hey, how about you give us your phone number?” Suga says. “Yeah! That way, we can call or message or face time you!” J-Hope says.

“Fantastic idea! Let’s do it!” I say. We each trade our phone numbers. 

“There! Now I have all of you in my contacts!” 

“Yay! Can’t wait to see you again, Navya!” Jimin says. “You, too! But, there’s something I need to confess.” I say. “Of course. What is it?” V says. 

I take a deep breath. “I don’t know who’s more scarier! Suga or the zombies!”

The members all crack up laughing. “I can be even scarier, if you want.” Suga says. I poke him in the nose. 

“Save it for Halloween, Yoongi. You can be scary at that time. I already had enough of tonight and I’m probably gonna get nightmares, so don’t make it worse.”

The members all crack up even more. “Well, we better get going. Good night, Navya.” Jungkook says. I say good night to everyone and get into my car. The members all get into their van, including Jin. I was sad to see him go. I had so much fun with him yesterday and today. Will I ever see him again? I sighed and drove back home.

I parked my car in the garage and got out. I removed my shoes and headed inside. I dropped my jacket on the floor. I was so exhausted after all that chaos. I headed straight upstairs to my room. I opened my room and stopped in my tracks. Jin was sitting on my bed.

He also had a rose in his hand. “Jin! What are you doing here? I thought you went home with the other members.” I say. “I did, but then I got bored, so I came here.” Jin says.

“Who’s that rose for?”

“It’s for a very special someone.”

“Who?”

“You.”

I almost trip after hearing that.

“Come again, now?” 

“I said it’s for you.”

“M-me? Why?”

“Because I think you deserve it.” 

“No, I don’t. What did I do?”

“Well, ever since we met at that junkyard, I feel protected by you. You’re also very sweet and kind to all of us. You’re always there for us when we need it, Navya.”

“Jin...”

I really didn’t know what to say. I was...shocked and speechless. “Jin, I feel the same, too. I feel protected when I’m with you. You’re also sweet and kind, and you’re always there when one of us is down.”

“I guess we feel the same way for each other. And, there’s something I want ask you.”

“What?”

“Navya, would like to be my girlfriend?”

I gasp and cover my mouth with my hands.

Before he could say another word, I ran to him and wrapped my arms around his neck. Jin lost his balance and fell backwards on my bed. Right now, all I cared about was him, the man I loved and who loved me, and I couldn’t keep myself away from him any longer. The two of us landed on top of each other; him sitting upright on the couch and me in his lap, my knees on either side of his hips, straddling his waist, while he stared up at me with wide eyes.

“Navya, I—does this mean…?” He stumbled over his words, both shocked by my sudden affectionate attack and by the prospect that my actions might mean what he was hoping they meant, as he scanned my face for some kind of sign.

“Yes, I will be your girlfriend!” I practically shouted back at him, forcefully (but lovingly) taking his his face between my hands so that he was looking into my determined and unwavering eyes. I wasn’t sure how to convince him, but I was sure if he looked at me, really looked at me, it had to be written all over my face how much I loved him too.

“Oh thank god,” he exhaled, clearly relieved, before cracking a smile at me, “because I’ve been waiting to do this since the minute you walked in.”

He leaned forward and pressed his soft lips against mine, slowly at first, but then more and more greedy. I melted into the kiss, the all-consuming feeling of his mouth on mine reviving my senses like water to someone lost in the desert. He deepened the kiss, our tongues meeting at last as his warm palms slid across your back, sending a shiver down my spine before they came to settle on my hips.

It didn’t matter how many times I kissed Jin; I always felt like I could never get enough. I had never met someone who could be so goofy and light-hearted with me, but also so intense and passionate when the two of us were alone together. I was drawn to him like the ocean tides to the moon, and the pull was just too strong to resist.

He momentarily broke away from the heated exchange to plant an open-mouthed kiss to the corner of my mouth, then my cheek, my jawline, working his way down to my neck. I let out a soft moan at the sensation, rolling my head back to give him more access. He was so unbelievably happy that I felt the same way and that all this was real, he wanted to shower every last part of me with kisses until I could feel his love all over.

“Jin…” I sighed, contentedly, as his lips left their mark on my exposed collarbone. I was actually trying to get his attention, but he was a man possessed, preoccupied with working his hands up underneath my dress to feel more of me. “Jin.” I tried again, giving his arm a light squeeze. I didn’t really want him to stop. God, I didn’t want him to stop, but there was a question weighing on my mind.

“Hmm?” he mumbled against my neck, his palms finding my ass beneath the fabric of my slip and giving it a squeeze before cupping it softly in his large hands. 

“What if the guys find out you’re gone?” I asked, momentarily bringing us both back to reality as we discussed the whereabouts of the other members.

He disconnected his mouth from my soft, and now bruised, skin, resting his head back against the couch cushions to look up at me through slightly lidded eyes. He looked so attractive in this state that I had to stop myself from leaning down and stealing another kiss before he could answer my question.

“No, they won’t. Don’t worry. They’re fast asleep.” he explained, letting his hands slip back around to rest on my waist, his thumbs moving to trace patterns into my stomach beneath my clothes.

“You sure?” The last I’d heard, the other members caught him sneaking out, so he had to lie saying he was going for a walk. I wasn’t entirely sure what had happened, but I didn’t want to pry because I knew Jin would tell you about it when he was ready to talk.

“Yeah.” He replied, smiling softly to himself. He made a mental note to explain the whole complicated thing to me later, but for now he just wanted me to know that things were okay.

“Okay.,” I smiled too, gently pushing a stray lock of hair back from his face. “but so… I guess that means you have the whole night off from dad duty, then?” I inquired, raising an eyebrow at him as I not-so-subtly asked the question on both of our minds.

“I’m all yours.” he promised, flashing me a winning smile that had the butterflies in my stomach having a field day.

“Well in that case…” I smirked, reaching down to grab the hem of my dress and pull it over my head, throwing it somewhere across the room and leaving my entire body exposed, save for my matching lace undergarments.

“Holy shit.” he cursed, his jaw practically going slack as he gawked up at me, “You are so beautiful.” The adoration in his eyes when he looked at me was pure and sincere, but came hand-in-hand with the unmistakable clouding of lust as his gaze trailed down my nearly naked form. Sitting on his lap, I could feel the growing hardness against my thigh, telling me exactly how much I was affecting him.

I leaned down to reconnect my lips at last, messier and hungrier this time, my arms settling around his neck as our tongues moved in an unspoken give and take. Tugging at the bottom of his shirt, he obliged me, and hastily removed it, throwing it haphazardly to join my dress on the floor and allowing me the freedom to run my hands down his toned chest. “Don’t get me wrong, I want to do this—I really want to do this,” he assured me, as if reading my mind, the way he struggled to even find his words revealing just how turned on he was. “But… shouldn’t we do something about that?” He gestured behind me to the mess of rose petals and scattered foliage left behind on the floor by the vase I’d accidentally broken earlier in my haste to jump his bones.

“Jin, it’s fine.” I laughed, amused as always by my boyfriend’s goofy, dad-like worries, which came out even when his child wasn’t present. “We’ll clean it up later,” I promised him, wiggling back up his lap to get close to him again and attaching my lips to the side of his neck, intending to leave him a few marks to match the ones he’d already given me.

“But, Navya…” he sighed, trying to protest but the tempting feeling of my lips on his skin and hands in his hair were making it hard to concentrate on anything else. “Okay, I’m sorry if this is too dad of me but it’s dangerous to leave broken glass just laying around. Someone could step on it and—oh god…” He abandoned his sentence to let out a strangled moan as I palmed his stiff member through his jeans, knowing exactly what would quiet the panicked words tumbling from his mouth.

“Still think we should stop?” I asked, innocently, abandoning the fresh hickeys I’d just finished leaving to look him in the eyes.

“Oh,” I giggled too, softly brushing my thumb against his jawline. “Not my fault you decided to go overboard on the floral arrangements,” I teased him, glancing at the countless flowers around the room that were beautiful, but I knew would be hell to move in the morning.

“Only the best for you, my love.” He insisted, grinning and leaning forward to steal a sweet kiss from my lips. When the two of us pulled away, he looked over the petal between his fingers, thoughtfully. “Hmm…” he pondered aloud, pretending to be studying the item. “She loves me…” he mused, reaching out to retrieve another petal “…she loves me not.” He pouted at me, and I shook my head at his goofy charade. Selecting more petals, he continued; “she loves me… she loves me not…” Finally, when he’d untangled the last blushing petal from my hair he held it out between me. “She loves me?” he questioned, looking deeply into my eyes with his warm, chocolate ones.

“Most definitely.” I smiled back at him, closing my hand around his and the petal he held.

I gazed up at him, the man I loved, so close to me and looking at me so lovingly, and I never wished more that I could freeze a moment and live in it forever. I wanted to always remember how he looked right now, and I promised myself no matter how long we were together, or where life took me, I would always hold him in my heart—that I would always love him.

“I love you, too.” He replied, softly, and I knew he felt the same way.
