rules: code of conduct.

BEGIN.

Before we start, I would like you to have certain things in mind when approaching me ooc. I am very shy and quite awkward, which results in me not being much of a talker; however, I will always try my best to be friendly to whoever wants to approach. I dislike pet names so please do not use them with me unless we are very close. There will be times when I'm just exhausted, so my wording could sound rude/aggressive, to which I apologize in advance -I never mean to hurt people’s feelings. I also reserve the right to interact with WHOEVER I want, and pestering me about it will only get you blocked.

Updates will be made as required.

I. BASIC.

A. This blog is: Selective / Independent / Canon Divergent / NSFW / Mutuals only / Singleship / Mostly iconless / Multiverse / AU, Crossover, OC, and Multimuse friendly / Vaguely affiliated with the OP RP fandom.

B. I am a very slow rper for many reasons —school, family, my ever-fluctuating mood —and I would appreciate it if you refrained from pestering me for replies. In return I offer as much patience as necessary. Think of this blog as low activity please.

C. English is not my mother language so I apologize in advance for any mistakes made.

D. I track the tag #iinfortunii, although mentioning me works just as fine.

E. Constructive criticism is always welcome but anon hate will be immediately deleted. I have no problems if you disagree with my portrayal, but it doesn't give you the right to harass me.

F. Mun and muse are both over 18, so there are chances that heavy content will be present; however I won't be writing smut. I can roleplay anything before or after the act if requested, but the moment things get far too explicit, I'll do a fade-to-black. I ask of you to not lie about your age or else you’ll be blocked indefinitely.

G. This is a heavily headcanon-based blog, and changes are likely to be made as more information is revealed about him, though I reserve the right to adjust the new information according to my interpretation of Deuce or simply ignore it, which is why I’m canon divergent.

H. If you'd like to turn an ask into a thread, you can turn it into a new post, or reblog from me, as I won't be using the Tumblr asks anymore due to the problems that come with formatting and such.

I. Ask box is open for everyone ic or ooc, but you aren't allowed to turn it into a thread and nor I will reply to it if we’re not mutuals. Please don't push me, because I won't hesitate to block.

J. No godmoding —only a minor is allowed if it moves a thread forward —or metagaming, please. Don't kill Deuce either, unless plotted beforehand, and most importantly, don't hold your muse back.

K. Discord is available for mutuals upon request.

L. Just because I write something it does not mean I condone it. Please have this in mind and again, do not pester me about it. Any and all nsfw matters will be tagged accordingly. There will be triggering topics present, and you can know more about this on the section below.

M. DO NOT involve me in drama or call-out posts. I’m heavily against both things. On this note, you’ll never see me rebloging a call-out post. This culture is so damaging and toxic, and I firmly believe no one should play the role of the judge for the good of the community just because you had issues with someone or don’t agree with the things they roleplay. Talk things privately, be mature about it, hard-block the person and move on. I am also very aware that a lot of people have done things that can’t be excused, but I like to believe that people can change for the better. If you try to drag me into it, I'll hard block any and all people involved indefinitely.

II. TRIGGERS.

A. They will be tagged as trigger tw, trigger / and trigger cw.

B. I do my best to stay up to date with my mutuals triggers. Your comfort is way more important to me than you might think, so never be hesitant to approach me via IM, (anonymous) ask or stop following me.

C. Triggers that are likely to appear, although some more than others: violence || blood || death || drugs || abuse || knives || body image || medical equipment || suggestive content || etc

D. I have no triggers, so you are free to go wild with your content. I only ask you remember to tag your nsfw (both written and visual), please.

III. INTERACTIONS.

A. Deuce won't like everyone. He might/will make wrong assumptions about your character. He will insult and bite back. He won't always be nice to those he likes. He does many things that serve his interests. You, as the mun, have no reason to take it personal, because I'm won't follow someone I don't like; if you DO take it personal however, and decide to rouse drama, then I'll be hard-blocking you. Goes for me as well —I have no reason to get angry for any of the things noted above.

B. My bonds page displays the relationships that have been built over time, not necessarily through interaction alone but over plotting as well. Refer to it for more information.

C. Interactions with OCs related to canon characters will only take place as long as said OCs have a detailed about page. Personally, I'm not interested in the idea of an OC being blood-related to my portrayal, so I apologize in advance.

D. Formatting isn’t a big thing across my blogs, save for the small text. Please don���t mix either sup/sub with small text when writing with me, as I have eyesight problems. Don’t use colored text either.

E. Non-romantic pre-established relationships are allowed! Just make sure to talk it out with me first, yeah?

01. Spade / Whitebeard pirates (canon and original characters alike that i am MUTUALS with) will have a pre-established relationship as long as the other mun is comfortable with such idea, though that relationship will be limited to merely crewmates, unless discussed otherwise.

F. You don’t need to match my writing length as long as I’m given enough to work with. If something about my reply bothers or doesn’t work with you, let me know and I’ll re-work it.

G. I really enjoy plotting scenarios or talking out about the relationships my muse could have with other muses, so hit me up if you’ve got any ideas! I’ll try to do the same!

H. Mun does not equal muse, so don’t go assuming I’m a jerk simply because Deuce is an asshole from time to time. I’m set on the idea that I’ll give people the same treatment they give me —which is always nice and kind. Kudos to everyone for this ♡

I. I don’t use a threadtracker because I rely on my memory (terrible mistake, I know), but I try to draft people’s replies as soon as I see them. If by any reason it seems like I lost it, then please let me know / send me a link with it and I’ll be deeply grateful.

J. I don’t do nor reply to greetings starters for matters of my own comfort, so I ask of you to never expect a starter or a reply from them.

IV. SHIPPING.

A. Singleship, with the spot taken by daadzi, which means Deuce is no longer open for romantic relationships.

01. Under no circumstances, I will accept more romantic relationships once the spot is taken. That being said, I won’t discourage your muse from falling for / hitting on him, although I ask you to understand he will never respond with the same interest or will never react gently if he’s pushed too far.

02. If my shipping partner is comfortable enough, I'll interact with duplicates with the condition that the relationship is strictly platonic.

B. Constant interaction, mutual interest, and chemistry are a must for the sake of better communication (both ic and ooc, preferably).

C. Please do not approach me if you wish our characters to have either a: one night stand or friends with benefits type of relationships. It won’t work out due to the nature of Deuce’s personality, and for that I apologize.

E. My ship has its own tag so you're free to block it if you don't want to see it on your dashboard. In addition, I'll also tag those posts with only the ship name for this very purpose.

F. Please do not force ships on me.

V. CELEBRATIONS.

A. First off, I am absolutely terrible at keeping up with dates, and to be frank, I am not the biggest fan of celebrating, which is why I think it’s necessary to say I won’t be partaking in any holidays, not even Deuce’s birthday (not that he has one, to begin with). Obviously I will still reply to any gifts received, and will send out things in return —you know, common courtesy.

B. I won't be sending out birthday gifts every year, and I might write drabbles for people once in a blue moon; it doesn’t mean they will be done for the specific date though, so please be patient.

VI. REASONS TO NOT FOLLOW BACK / UNFOLLOW.

A. Too much drama / call-outs / vague posts / sexual content.

B. Content makes me uncomfortable.

C. You are a personal blog without a visible rp sideblog. Please make sure it's easy to find.

D. You do not have a proper tag system.

VII. ABOUT BEATRICE.

She is not a real person. Her concept as Deuce’s (toxic) pseudolover is my creation and was somewhat inspired from the real life Beatrice Portinari. Do have in mind that Deuce doesn’t talk about her so your muse can’t simply approach him and ask about her unless they can go through his memories / read his mind / any capability alike or he speaks about her, though it won't take a genius to figure out that she's a product of his imagination.

She serves as a lie to shield himself from the internalized homophobia he deals with up until meeting Ace.

NOTE: As stated previously, Mun =/= muse, but I too have been dealing with compulsory heterosexuality for far too long, so I'd like to apologize in advance for projecting a bit of that into my portrayal. I'll work so that this part makes sense with what we've been given from Ace's novel.

VIII. MISCELLANEOUS.

A. I will never force people to follow me, so if by any reason you have to unfollow/block me, please go ahead. Your comfort matters and have every right to do what you must to ensure your wellbeing. With that said, I will not tolerate and will immediately hard block if you try to police my content.

B. I do not follow back immediately, and it can take me from a few hours to several days to follow back. Do not take it personally if I choose not to.

C. If I follow it’s because I am interested in interacting. I only ask you to be patient because it might take me a while to gather the courage to send something to your inbox or talk to you.

D. I have. ZERO knowledge about medicine. Don’t expect me to go full force and try to be 100% accurate, because I won’t.

Hello all! Hope everyone’s doing okay despite the west coast fires, the crazy political atmosphere, and everything else going on in this crazy year.

I wanted to fill y’all in on some things that have happened, are happening, and will happen on my end, both ooc and ic:

- In Feb, my grandma died. This past June, my dad passed away. Their deaths have weighed super heavily on me, and it’s why my presence here has been irregular. Losing a grandparent and a parent within months has been the hardest thing I’ve had to deal with, so I apologize to those who have been waiting on play, and what not.

- There will be changes in my stories. A mun and I are going our seperate ways, and while I do not wish to speak about what happened exactly, just know that their departure means there will be some major changes on my end. Certain things will be wrapped up and finished, and I hope to move forward as smoothly as possible. I may do a time skip, but that’s a big maybe atm.

I will also ask that if anyone has questions for Caro’s mun regarding Carolina, or anything to do with her, ask them to me. She’s not on Tumblr atm, but is still communication with me via text. So, I’ll rely any questions to her through there. 

-  I may possibly shelf certain characters because I simply don’t have the time or energy to keep up with so many characters. But, I hope to create satisfying ends of their stories. I know y’all may be disappointed to see which characters will be getting shelved, but I wish to focus on certain characters in the south, and characters in Wexford going forward. 

I hope everything is doing well and I’m looking forward to try and work my way back to writing enjoyable and fun stories with everyone.

         Your head’s pounding. You almost don’t open your eyes until you hear groaning and shifting beside you. Forcing open your eyes, they take a bit to focus, and when you do, a blue-haired blond-banged male is holding out his hand to you.

         “Hey, are you okay?” he asks, and you barely nod around the dull pounding in your head. You take his gloved hand, letting him help you to your feet before you pull away to look around — nothing around you is familiar at all.

                   ( what is this place? )

         Perfectly green grass is what you’d laid upon and there’s pathways and buildings farther away. Already, the teen boy has moved on, greeting others who’re just stirring as well. You already don’t recognize most of the people you’ve seen. Turning your attention around, you see a faint gleam pass across the sky, like light passing over glass. It’s dim and smells a bit musky, and the only thing that breaks your concentration is the sound of something hitting the ground. Upon inspection, you realize an unfamiliar phone fell from your pocket. When you pick it up and look at the back, you see your name engraved there, though you don’t know how or why.

         The phone rings with a message. Clumsily, you unlock the phone and nearly yelp when instead of a text, a small hologram of a girl appears. She’s wearing what seems to be some sort of suit and has bright green hair and piercing amber eyes...for a hologram.

         “Welcome. We’ve been waiting for you to wake. If you’re unsure what’s going on, please meet us in the plaza. Your phones are equipped with a map. You have ten minutes.”

         The girl’s hologram disappears to reveal a map on the phone’s screen. A small dot in the park tells you that’s where you are — and the word ‘PLAZA’ plastered on a section of the map tells you where you need to go.

         Slowly but surely, you and all of the others have made your way to the plaza. The boy who woke you up seems energetic, and it looks like he isn’t at all bothered by your situation. You’re only able to appreciate it until a person clears their throat.

         The girl from earlier is there, but so are three more nearly identical girls, and that fact is far more unsettling. One girl sports bright blue hair and gleaming green eyes, the other with soft purple hair and magenta eyes. The final has two bright pink pigtails and angry blue eyes that seem to keep you captivated. A soft, horrified gasp comes from somewhere in the crowd, but you don’t know who it was — you don’t have time to investigate as the pink-haired girl begins to speak.

         “You’ve made it. Welcome to your new home.” Her voice is cold and harsh despite the words and you shiver. “My name is Yuzu. This is Ruri, Serena and Rin. From this point onward, you may consider us the wardens of this prison.”

                   ( prison?! )

         “Yeah, she’s right,” the girl who called you over the hologram, Rin, says. “Basically, you’re all stuck here until you fulfill the requirement to go home.”

         There’s excited murmuring. The introduction of Serena’s energetic grin is enough to quell any of the excitement.

         “You wanna know, huh? Well, you can go home if you do one thing: murder another prisoner and get away with it!”

         The crowd hushes and then breaks into yelling and protests until the last one, Ruri, raises her voice.

         “We’ll let you get settled in before we jump into any fun. First, the rules. You can listen to them or read them on your phone. Each of you has one which works with a live translator, which will allow you to understand any language spoken to you, while also translating any messages you receive into the language of your choice. This doesn’t work on books or other printed texts. Be warned. Now, the rules...”

         Yuzu laughs and speaks up this time around.

         “Okay, so for the all of you idiots that can’t read or won’t read it, I’ll read it to you. The rules are as followed:

You have all been assigned a dorm; you may choose a room for yourself. It will then be visible on your public information.

You may only sleep in the room you chose. You may not be roommates with another prisoner. If you sleep in the room of another prisoner, you will be punished.

That means no sleeping outside either.

There is no fornication allowed with your fellow prisoners. Ever. There are kids here, you sick perverts.

Your phone is your lifeline. Don’t break or lose it.

Your doors do not autolock. If you lock it, the only way to open it is to use your phone.

We have set up a few stores for you. 

We have basic foods, like pasta, ramen, fruits and veggies for free in the food store. Anything else you gotta talk to the store clerk about.

There’s free, basic clothing in the general store. Short sleeved shirts, tanks, jackets, shorts, sweats and undergarments are among these. They come in black, white, pink, blue, green and purple.

Anything else has to be bought.

Any entertainment has to be bought (because we hate you).

If you need help, ask one of the store clerks. They’re here to help.

Damaging any of the property will result in a punishment.

The general IMs have a filter which you can see here. This doesn’t apply to the adult IMs.

Threatening any member of the staff (which includes, but is not limited to, the Wardens, SysAdmin and store clerks) is strictly prohibited. This is your warning. We will punish you harshly for threats and even more harshly for attempts.

Wardens cannot directly harm you unless a rule is broken or under specific situations where prior warning is given.

And that’s it...for now.”

         Serena looks around at all of the unhappy, devastated and angry faces and groans impatiently.

        “What? Your food’s free...oh well, whatever. That’s it for now. See ya later, okay?”

         — and by the time you blinked, your new Wardens were gone, and nothing was there to indicate they had ever existed. Either way, it was time to explore your new home.

OOC NOTES;

This is a pure Yu-Gi-Oh and Danganronpa crossover. No knowledge of either series is needed to join this verse as everything will be explained in time. This verse will contain dark themes and potentially triggering content. Everything will be tagged appropriately and non-descriptive summaries of events will be provided upon request. Our rules are as follows:

The current cut off point for applications is the end of Chapter 2.

This verse is an open application verse. Simply submit an application and wait until you’re messaged an invite link to the server.

This verse is not fast-paced and will not be too heavy. If you feel like the verse is moving too quickly, share your concerns with a mod. We’ll either try to accommodate you, or if other people feel it’s also going too fast, we will slow the verse down.

Your feedback tells us how to run the verse. If you don’t give it, we won’t know, and we want this to be fun for everyone.

Any questions at all, feel free to contact a mod. We’ll explain anything we possibly can.

We will not be revealing everything to you right off the bat, nor will we be holding your hand through the trials. Trust, however, that we will help you when you’re stuck.

There should be no mention of major triggers (such as suicide, self-harm, etc.) in the discord server whatsoever.

Currently, we have a muse cap of 3 per mun.

However, you are allowed to switch your muses out only at the start of the chapter. Once the motive has been announced, you may not switch out a muse until the next chapter has started.

Duplicates are allowed! However, we will be limiting this to 3 duplicates of a character, and the same mun may not have both!

Please note that any type of “companion” is sealed away. This includes, but is not limited to, “companions” such as pets, pokémon, duel spirits, personas and digimon. Your muse is the only one allowed to be in the verse. If you have questions about this rule or what qualifies as a “companion,” please ask a mod.

Keep this a drama free verse.

Any issues or questions can be brought up to the mods, via message, discord or this blog’s askbox, even if it’s about another member or another mod. We won’t be upset or mad. We want to make your stay the best we can.

IC DOES NOT EQUATE TO OOC. If a muse does something, do not assume the mun approves or shares the same value. A rude muse doesn’t mean a rude mun.

If you need help with anything, such as a warning prior to body drops, ask a mod. We want to accommodate you for what you need to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible.

When roleplaying anything sensitive, be mindful of the mun! Ask about triggers and don’t harass them.

If we find out you purposely attack group members or purposely start drama, you will be given one warning. After that, any repeat incidents and you will be banned from the group.

If your muse wants to do something significant, please talk to one of the mods before doing it.

Do not rush us, we have things to do besides run this specific verse so there may be delays in answering questions and moving events forward. 

Don’t try to plan or volunteer for the next chapter’s murder when we’re still on the chapter before it! We will ask when we are ready to start planning.

If you are given any plot detail, do not spoil it! You get one chance and one chance only. If you spoil it, you will not be given any type of plot info again.

You know better. You’ve seen the movies, you know the rules: Don’t split up. Don’t go see what that noise was. Don’t poke around the decrepit house on the hill. But if it weren’t so cut and dry, if all your friends were going and begged you to come, and prize at the end with the trill along the way was too good to pass up, if too little too late you remembered to play by the rules.... 

WOULD YOU SURVIVE?

Bing! Out of the blue, just before you fall asleep, you get a text. A blocked number, a single line:

                              Do you want to play? It’ll be worth it. 

Maybe you say yes automatically, maybe you mull it over, maybe you think it’s a wrong number. Either way, you eventually give in. You say yes to this stranger, you take the bait. And a little while later, at this stranger’s direction, you’re pulling up to the five-story, century-old mansion (barely) standing at the top of the hill that overlooks town. The sight of several sihouettes against the window simultaneously fill you with relief and dread; you’re not alone, but you don’t know who’s there. As you step from the car and approach the house, you have no idea what is about to unfold.

This is a horror group verse based around a classic horror movie, as well as loosely based on the plot of the book Dead Girls Society. All cliches, all life-altering (or ending) choices, all mystery, ALL FEMALE. The plot will be roughly planned ahead in a dis.cord group, but minor side plots within the gv can be a free-for-all, so to speak. Whereas the book spans out weeks, ideally the events of this verse take place within a night. I’m HOPING to keep the antagonist a mystery, so that part will not be announced in the list of participants, but I will be taking applications for it and letting the applicants know if they did/did not get the part. The antagonist must also be female.

If your character suspects someone of being the antagonist, they are more than welcome to yell and stomp their foot about it all they want, but without proof, it comes down to the antagonist’s muse personality if they will admit it. 

The plot points to move forward, the dares, will be separated out by thread (i.e., dare 1, dare 2, dare 3 would be different threads) Hopefully, each thread can be completed within a week or two, depending on people’s schedules. 

To keep things moving along, I ask that when interacting through the dares, there’s only 1-2 different muses each of you interact with. They don’t have to be the same muse each time, obviously, but think of it like the main person your muse sticks to through that specific dare. 

As a group OOC, we will discuss what the dares should be/when they should be doled out, and all major plot points. I want the plot to be a group effort, not just acted out by y’all with no input. 

You must be willing to join the dis.cord group chat, to be involved with plotting and all that. 

Muse must be female (transwomen welcome, obviously) and roughly 16-18. 

All muses underage cannot participate in smut, neither can underage muns. Romantic plots/crushes are more than welcome. How violent things get for them is, however, up to the mun.

my opinion on …character in general: yo … TJ is so cute & i am absolutely Enamored. she has such a charming personality & everything from her dialogue to your inclusion of her mannerisms is delightful. her backstory is also great ?? like i admire the mindset she manages to take on post her father’s death & even her poor treatment from her mother. it truly makes her abilities so fitting & perhaps symbolic. she’s so full of love which, in turn, makes me love her !!  for example, the fact that she took on a career to help others & truly embrace all that has happened in order to move forward is admirable. lowkey wanna be TJ’s friend lmao. Allen’s Ramblings XXIV: Venting... Also talking about Canon RP Blogs

Well folks, after doing that meme I stole from Aster of wearysouls I’ve honestly been thinking about going back to doing canon RP blogs again. I mean, I’ve been seriously thinking about it. I really miss a lot of my old partners in certain fandoms and I’m honestly curious about the state of some of them, but... I’ve been worried about going back. 

The main reason I strictly do OC blogs nowadays is because I was seeing so much drama and pettiness going on in the bigger fandoms I was in, specifically the Touhou and Dangan Ronpa communities. There was a lot of vague blogging, shipping drama, complaints about power levels, and so on. I just... walked out after that. It’s been a few years since then so maybe things have settled down a tad. Plus I’m 23 now and not 17, so I know when to say no, and unfollow people now, but I’m still weary. However, I’ve really been wanting to write for Sanae Kochiya, Tsubaki Yayoi, and even Orie and Nanase from Under Night again now that late[st] is coming out this year, and my hype for that game is UNREAL (BLACK THINGS). Hell, I really wanna’ try my hand at playing Cranberry from MGRP too, so.. yeah.

However, I’ve still got some worries about coming back to those fandoms, so... I just... need to vent a tad about some of the frustrations I had when doing canon RPs back then, some of the precautions I’ll be taking when I go back to RPing canon blogs in the future, as well as my own personal thoughts RPing in general. 

I was debating on if I should make this a Rambling or not since this is less of an essay and more an... actual rambling, but I think this’ll be worth archiving on the Rambles blog for future reference, so... yeah, here’s Rambling number 24. 

Also, much like when I did my off the cuff post a while back on this blog, I won’t be hiding my opinions under a read more since I’m not talking about NSFW-related things nor spoilers. If anyone wants to discuss, break down, or refute my opinions they are more than welcomed to. I’d be a coward to not allow it after publicizing my bare thoughts after all, especially my more jaded ones. Anyway, onto my... vents, I guess.

I think I’ve said this at least twice on this blog before, but if I see one more post about power levels and “respecting my character’s power” in OOC in some way, shape, or form, I’m gonna’ start blocking people. This was super prevalent in canon RP, especially in the Touhou community. It drove me nuts then, and it drives me even more nuts now that I’m starting to write my original stories. To quote myself from a few months ago:  

I, the writer, indeed respect the character you wrote. I, the writer, respect that the character you wrote may have abilities, powers, and skills that exceed my character. I, the writer, respect and know that your character may, can, and will become violent toward my character and will act accordingly if pushed to that point. I, the writer, will not make complaints if your character reacts in a way I didn’t expect because (ideally) the profile of your character will have made it very clear your character could and would react that way. However, the characters I write are usually arrogant, violent, self-entitled assholes that neither know nor care about those things. They (the character) will be outwardly snarky, rude, and violent themselves, I don’t need the warning labels for things I already know. I’m not going to throw much of a fit if something happens, but I will say big dramatic moments like that should probably be plotted out so there’s no surprises and no one assumes anything. 

Another thing that might make me block people: dash commentary. It’s either lighthearted and comedic or it’s pathetic vague blogging. Look, if you’ve got a problem with someone, how they write their character, or how they’re treating your character, just talk to them directly about it. The writer is rarely as bad as the character they’re writing, and they’re probably willing to pull the reins a little if asked, or discuss how to get your character can get out of the situation they got in. Most of us just want to write stories after all, not hurt feelings. So don’t vague about it using your character as a mouthpiece.

Less of a vent and more of an announcement, but any canon blog I make won’t have anon on it. Anons and canon blogs usually lead to a bunch of shipping drama and trash talking I don’t want to deal with, so I’m not.

Fandom Drama usually means the respective RP community is going to have drama too, and I’m not looking forward to that when it happens. I know the Naruto fandom was losing it after certain pairings weren’t fulfilled when that series ended, god only knows what’s happening in the Fairy Tail fandom, but I know the quality of that manga is debated everyday, and god forbid you tried to have a discuss about the political arrange of Gensokyo in the Touhou community without someone losing it... again, this was a few years ago, so maybe things are better, but... I’m still keeping this in mind.

My feelings on canon-divergent blogs are kind of mixed, so I don’t know how I’ll be handling those yet if I see them following me. As an OC blog, it doesn’t really matter to me since my character doesn’t follow any series’s canon by nature, but when I do Canon RP stuff again this might be an issues since I tend to have single-verse, single ship muses.

As much as I want to go back to playing Sanae, The opinions of the Touhou RP community are just... low... Again, that RP community really jaded my views of canon RP to the point of wanting a three-year break from the whole thing, but... I’m willing to give another shot, albeit at the cost of being hyper-selective.

More of a general vent, but I will lose my gosh dang mind if I see another fighting game character RP blog with a mun that refuses to do fight RPs. What’s the goddamn point of writing for a character that’s known for punching people if you refuse to punch people and be punched in return? This might be because I come from several forum RP groups that specialize in battle storytelling (if you couldn’t tell from how I write Clauds here), but still... just... why write for them? Their personality? Their character design? Their ships? Friend, just write fanfiction and do art of them in that case. I just... I mean... I just don’t get it... I just don’t..

Another thing I’m gonna’ lose my mind over: villains and villainous characters. Guys, villains do bad things. Those bad things create conflict in the plot, which makes protagonists/heroes grow into better characters and make the premise of that story interesting. That’s how you write a goddamn story and how you make interesting characters. Most people don’t write villains to have them cuddle kittens and sip tea with their first love, they write villains to push other characters and create plot. Using my OCs as an example, Claudia is a fight-happy, morally neutral character that can be villainous or heroic depending on who she’s killing/fighting and why. Amber is a goddamn street gangster that has robbed and beaten at least three defenseless characters for the sake of pushing them mentally and physically. Villains have a purpose and it’s not to look cute. Understand this or don’t RP with villainous character.

Speaking of villains, most villains will fail and lose despite their power or standing because that’s the point. They’re villains, and villains/antagonists are meant to be toppled 90% of the time to show how even great odds can be overcome and teach readers to never give up, believe in the power of friendship, all that fun stuff. Especially anime/video game villains. Half the interest of the villain is seeing how they’re knocked off their high horse. A villain without a hero may be successful, but they’re also kind of boring without an obstacle in their way to show off their villainy. Understand this or don’t write for villainous characters.

Wow, these vents have gotten real general... anyway, moving on. Character’s flaws. Your character has them, and you need to freaking deal with that. Your character isn’t perfect, they’ve got flaws, they’ve got bad alignments and twisted morals at times. They’ve got issues that people in your fandom can, have, and will write paragraphs about, calling them shit characters and saying they should be removed from the show/game. Those aren’t attacks on you personally, but they are points about the show and game and how they’re written. If you can’t handle that, then I wouldn’t suggest writing for that character. I mean, if the Sword Art Online RP community can deal with that, then... what are you scared of?

Last vent, and it’s more general complaint really, but please know that RPing requires communication. I’ve been seeing blogs that have been saying they prefer to have minimal communication because of... several reasons I don’t feel like debating, but a lack of communication between partners is just shooting yourself in the foot for when communication needs to happen. It’ll make your partners just silently drift away and you really only have yourself to blame for that.

And... that’s really it in terms of my venting and complaints about... well, RPing on tumblr in general I suppose, given how I’m ending this. I’ve got a few dummy accounts still online and activated, so I’ll just re-purpose them for a Sanae, Tsubaki, and Orie blog once I get some research done. I’ll promo those whenever I get to them. Anyway, that’s all for me, I’ll be getting to my drafts soon enough, and like I said before I’m willing to take any criticisms of the rant I just gave so... come at me I guess? //OOC Romantic Plotline update

This post has to do with all romantic relationships that have taken place in Maysilee’s old timeline (LDN & Underground) as well as moving forward how I will -as a Mun- treat any potential indie ships.

Stay tuned for another update regarding future plotlines/verses

Maysilee had three major ships within LDN and Underground; Jordan, Ronan and Asher. I won’t waste my breath explaining her past but in short, she was severely tortured, raped and mutilated by a group of ruthless men. So Maysilee does display the common stereotypes of an abused woman when it comes to her romantic relationships. 

Although Jordan asked for her permission to kiss, his complicated relationship with Maysilee’s adoptive sister Cara and his frequent disappearances this didn’t constitute a healthy relationship. This is seen in the fact that Maysilee did little to subvert his advances once he was physically touching her, despite the fact that she constantly tried to redirect his attention back to his wife. Keep in mind this relationship was the first she had since the torture, and although she physically consented to being held, kissed and generally touched, she didn’t verbally consent after the initial kiss. On top of that, the promises they made to one another were never kept, and this was probably the biggest driving force behind her distaste towards promises from the people she loves. 

All that being said the relationship was good in the fact that he was her sounding board during the first few months in the tunnels. He allowed her to become self-analytical, and helped her maintain her faith. Without this she may not have had the self drive to follow the group to Ireland after the attack. 

Once she got to Ireland things became complicated in that she had two relationships almost one after the other and while one was mostly established as canon both were left slightly open to debate. Time to set the record straight. 

Maysilee is canonically with Asher Dupoint. But let me first address the Ronan x Maysilee pairing. Ronan was a drifter, he never pointedly decided to stick with their group until right before the fall of LDN. Which was problematic considering Maysilees devotion to her family. More than that he also had a similar mindset as Maysilee, except instead of being the victim of sex void of emotion he was the perpetrator. (This was never verbally explained to Maysilee but instead became a background story in their relationship.) Because of this they both felt at ease to be physically close but never quiet emotionally bonded. This can be seen in the fact that Maysilee consistently shows her fear of not being able to compete with his past, and being angry when he wouldn't open up to her. Other Prime examples being; that Maysilee told him several times she had moved on (to be with Asher) and yet Ronan continued to ask her to stay the night with him in his room, and the multiple times he kissed her without regard to her feelings. 

And although I love their pairing (and no matter how many fluffy hc’s I write) I don’t believe this relationship would be long term beneficial or healthy towards Maysilee’s overall state of mind. Just the honest truth, doesn't mean it wouldn't make for some epic story telling and character development though. 

Now onto Asher, their relationship wasn’t by any means healthy but it was by far the most important to her character development. Which is why I will in the future write her as canonically having been/ being with Asher. They way their relationship was written he constantly asked for verbal consent, even when she was physically in control (cue blankfort thread flashbacks). Speaking of which Asher is also the only man she actually consented to having sex with since her arrival in Europe. To her this is the highest form of trust and intimacy. But on another note Asher also allowed Maysilee to be herself while trying his best not to be overprotective as she went on several dangerous excursions on her own. The best example’s of this being the time Maysilee returned from the Hunter camp with Keera and Cara. He confessed his love for her, helped her bandage her wounds and Maysilee ended up being the one to make the first move by kissing him and reassuring him that she was alright. 

While Maysilee may not understand her emotions with Asher (Maysilee was quick to tell both Jordan and Ronan that she loved them she was hesitant with Asher.) They’re not afraid of speaking their minds to one another, and because of that Maysilee know’s she can rely on him to be honest and maintain some balance in her life. There’s a kind of interpersonal trust the two share that she doesn’t extend to any other family member. (Keera and Maysilee’s trust understandably falls under another category.)

As far as any future ships, Maysilee may be open to shipping especially in her modern-verse. As far as her ZA-verse Asher will be a past partner, or treated as her current partner depending on the timeline. Do not think that just because our characters are physically close or open with one another that their relationship is canon, UNLESS IT’S SPECIFICALLY SAID.

I’m still in shock and genuinely thought I misread the number when I logged in after a whole day of mock driving theory tests, but no, my eyes did not deceive me. 300 of you are following this blog for some reason and props to you for keeping up with my stupid butt, my wavering pace when it comes to replies (Woody “I’m late” [Insert my last name here]), my utter inability to keep up and tendency to reblog more memes when I already have so many replies to do, my general awkwardness, my shitposting, my writing, etc etc. I don’t interact with near as many people as I would like and I hope to fix this in the future. In one word, THANK YOU for lighting up my days with our threads or just by posting awesome content on your dash and making me fall in love with that fandom a little more everyday.

Without further due, a biais list (I NEVER KNOW HOW TO WRITE THIS) because I love telling people I love them and biais list are a great way to do it without being super awkward.

The loveliest rp partners I could ever wish for, let me shower you with love. I’m super awkward when it comes to chatting (beyond yelling my love for your/our character(s)) but know that I genuinely love you both for your muses and as people, even if I’m terrible at moving past our interactions as writers, that’s just me being stupid and bad at making friends, but I consider you my friends already so yep, just deal with it.

I remember thinking I’d never get to rp with a Reaper when you suddenly appeared, and b o y what a ride. These asks are open for everyone and anyone; anon, fandom, outside fandom, ooc, ic, etc.

For the time being, there is no limit on how many people can send in. On the off chance there's an overload or they don't stop, there will be another post announcing when asks will be closed.

No triggering asks, preferably; these will be made public and some subjects are sensitive to touch on. Asks will be keeping a more 'carefree' and 'casual' approach on counseling, while more serious subjects are taken privately between characters unless specified otherwise.

Messaging/IMing

IMing on tumblr will work as text messages. ICly, Bbt will have a 'work phone' that he'll give the number out more freely to and use solely for work purposes and that he'll have on him at all times with his normal phone.

When/if you have the number (it'll be advertised), you are free to message him at any time! All I ask is, if you do not get a reply right away, then chances are the mun is busy and so the phone can be considered 'off'. If you're worried I might have forgotten (it has happened), then feel free to give me a poke and I'll let you know, but please do not be a pest. I am a busy person on some days.

Let it also be known I am willing to deal with IC consequences so long as it's discussed between us muns! I love realism!!

However, if things are moving too fast for me and I can't keep up, I'll speak up and let you know and we can see if we can work something out. As much as I would want to be, I can't always be available.

Messaging will be for muses only for the most part, and less casual than Asks. I'll be more picky on OCs and outside fandom interaction with this, but not as much as I am on F2F. If you're unsure if you/your muse would be permitted to message Bbt, and/or you really really want to, please feel free to talk about it with me OOCly! I may be willing to make exceptions, but please do not force me into anything I'm not comfortable with.

Messaging will also be kept private, so more personal discussion is allowed if it's what your muse wishes to talk about.  Nothing is really 'too much' for me, all I ask is at least a brief discussion about it before hand so I have a heads up and know what to prepare for, and to make sure I'm in a good state for me and Bbt to handle it.

These discussions can be very draining and also very important. I want to be able to take them very seriously and be completely focused, as well as an open communication between us muns for a better understanding.

And like I said, not a lot is 'too much' for me. Things like: rape, torture, abuse, self harm, suicide, and other triggers are subjects I've come into contact with before, and my muse has had some experience with.

However, if for some reason it DOES get overwhelming, or seems to be happening a little too frequently, I will speak up and we can discuss the issue. I don't really get upset easily, but I do get pretty tired/drained.

Make sure your 'OOC' is clear for me when messaging and you want us muns to talk, such as using brackets: (( )), [[ ]]. I encourage this greatly, especially on very important subjects and to make sure each of us is okay.

Face-2-Face

Rp will likely take place on discord/outside of tumblr, but I am definitely willing to make exceptions if you are comfortable with it.

I will be more selective on who Bbt interacts with. If I feel it conflicts too much with his character, plot, story, etc, then I may reject an Rp with them face-to-face. It's nothing personal with the mun or character, it's just easier on me, the mun.

Bbt has his own server on discord with his partner, Edgy, and Edgy's brother, Chompy, with a 'hidden shack' channel that he keeps his work in. This is one location that the Rp can take place in, but there are restrictions and rules to keep in mind.

The server IS a private server, and only used as a 'need-to-Rp' basis. What this means is an invite CAN be handed out, but once the Rp reaches it's conclusion, the invited guest(s) is/are kindly asked to leave. Don't worry, though! You won't be suddenly kicked, we'll talk before hand and I, or someone else present, will tell you goodbye, thank you for the Rp, and (hopefully), look forward to doing this again with you!

Not being allowed to stay isn't anything personal, please keep that in mind! But if we allowed everyone to stay who has been invited, the server would get very, very crowded and I am a mun who needs her space.

Being escorted out of the server also does not mean you aren't allowed to talk to me again. I would love for us to be able to stay in touch should your muse need to talk to mine again, and if we want to do any further plotting together!

Channels will be hidden from visitors save for the Hidden Shack and Grillby's Bar. If you would like our Rp kept private and unviewable by future guests, just let me know. I'm positive there's a feature on discord that does just this, but if it comes down to it, then I'll save the Rp somewhere else, and delete the history.

Other f2f Rp options can be Private messaging, or Bbt can do house calls. Which means your muse is more than welcome to invite him to their home instead or a setting they're more comfortable with. Even a public place will work, whatever your muse prefers!

If you do not want their Rp shared (the subject being too sensitive, suppose to be kept secret, etc) then just let me know. I won't share without discussing it with you first, but if you don't want the logs made public or handed out, tell me and I promise it'll be kept put away.

Other Notes:

Remember I am still a person, too, and not perfect

While I want to take this very seriously, please remember the difference between IC and OOC and don't stress yourself over this!

Don't ever be afraid to speak up! If you're having trouble with anything or have a concern, just let me know, okay..? I swear I'm an easy person to talk to, and I want to make sure you, the mun, are comfortable and okay.

Please also remember Bbt is also not perfect and has his own days.

Mun questions 1-3. 5-6

1. On formatting.

If it’s super simple, like using overall small text or just a symbol at the beginning of each paragraph, then that’s cool with me. Hell, even no formatting at all is good. Super fancy formatting with different text sizes mixed together and lots of bold and italic is hard to read, excessive, and unnecessary. This practice has to stop.

2. On OCs.

I know I shouldn’t judge the majority by the minority, but I’ve have a bad experience with a few, so I’m really wary at this point.

3. On smut.

As long as it’s tasteful and has a point to it (i.e. moving a plot and/or relationship forward), then smut should be fine. If it’s just smut for smut’s sake, then please don’t. I would like to see my dash with words other than “read more”.

Oh, and speaking of read mores, people NEED to use them when writing smut. I do not want to see descriptions of sexual activity right on my dash. I’ve seen a lot of people forego using them with the argument of “we shouldn’t be treating sex as a shameful act”, which is just a stupid and lame excuse. Yes, sex should be celebrated, but where does most sex take place? Behind closed doors.

5. On exclusivity.

I made a post about this back on my old Toto blog. But, for those of you who don’t want to click a link, I’ll copy+paste it here.

“look, I know this kind of post (the place I linked it from is now gone) has been going around, but I personally can’t rp with multiples of the same muse. I find it extremely difficult to keep all the different little nuances in mind between the relationships my muse has with multiples of the same muse, so I choose to be exclusive to one muse to avoid that. I also look at people’s rules and about pages so that I can decide whether or not we will mesh well in both ic and ooc. I know that it seems shallow and it doesn’t give the other person a chance of rping with me, but it’s my choice. I’m rping because I like it and it’s a stress reliever, so I’m not going to do something that will add to the stress I already have.

I get that there are different interpretations and portrayals, but I am biased in my choices. I don’t care what people think of that, and if they have a problem with it, then they can leave.”

Useful for a few cases, but overall not a good practice.
