Before and After: The Old Church.

I'm in love with old buildings. The more run down, the better. This boarded-up church is just down the street from where I live, and it calls to me every time I pass by it. Unfortunately, I have yet to go inside, but I'm hoping that one day I will get the opportunity.

Have you ever entered a place and were like “WOW”, and then as you looked closer around you you were even more amazed? This is what happened to me at Sainte Chapelle in Paris. After standing in the long line (make sure to purchase in advance timed-entry tickets) you get into the first gallery and shop. Then you climb up the stairs to the main gallery to get your first wow from the high ceilings, design and the colors around you! This 13th century, gothic style church is known for its 15 stained-glass windows, with 1113 scenes from biblical stories. Realizing this and looking closely at them is your second wow! What an incredible place and full of history.
