Clonetober #16 Boba and Mando’a part 7

Here’s a summary of what happened last time part 6 of Clonetober #16 Boba and Mando’a was when Jango learned who his FAMILY was and that he Jiben kidnapped him to save him from his Uncle Odyssey aka STINK FART BRAINS. Jango also learned how Jiben became his Step-Uncle. Now that you know that, I’m going to jump in where Jango is almost an adult just to finish this part of Jango and get into what this story is REALLY ABOUT.

As Jango grew up, Jiben and the other Mandalorians were teaching him how to be a TRUE MANDALORIAN like his FATHER. Jiben was so proud that Jango was calling him FATHER then Uncle. Jango still had a hard time eating or drinking things with his helmet on but Jiben and others helped him. It was kinda funny to see Jango sneeze in his helmet because some of the Mandalorians had put pepper in his helmet to make him sneeze. After time he took it off, well…..you get the picture. Jiben helped Jango get back what the others did to him with the pepper in his helmet. They put paint in the Mandalorians helmets. It was funny to see them covered in paint when they took their helmets off. (Mandalorians always love pulling pranks on each other.) Once Jango was ready to go out there across the Galaxy to help others, Jiben gave him his special armor that Jiben made for Jiben. Jango hugged him and told him I will come back to see you.

Jango went everywhere to find Jobs that would help others. It was hard to find a Job that would help him survive. As he found Jobs here and there, he would go to the HOMELESS SHELTER and would help feed them on the weekends. He always loves to see their faces when they see a hot meal just for them. Jango would wear a mask over his face so you would just be able to see his eyes. He would do the same things when he was working at his Job. Jango was happy when he saw everyone smiling at him knowing he did a great Job with his work but something was missing. He realised what he was missing in his life. It was a FAMILY of his OWN.

Jango would go to clubs or bars and see if he found anyone who would like to date him and marry him. He also tried online dating websites but he had no luck. Everytime he was like someone, they would ask him to take off his mask to see his face. He lived by the Mandalorians' way and swore to never disobey his promise he made to them and to Jiben. After he had no luck finding someone who didn’t push him to take off his mask, he decided to go back home to find his own wife who was a Mandalorian. As he was about to head back, he saw a Job offer that he couldn’t refuse. It was a Job to train others to be SOLDIERS of the REPUBLIC. Once he saw that, he jumped into his ship and headed to Kamino.  

Once Jango was there, he saw some others there who also wanted this Job. As he was waiting for someone who was in charge of this place, he got hit in the head (helmet) with a shoe. (I was going to put a rock but that was the first thing I could think of and also where would some be able to get a rock from this PLANET! THEY ARE SURROUNDED BY WATER!) Jango looks in the direction where the shoe came from and also to see the one who is only wearing one shoe. He saw a big tall guy with BIG MUSCLES. The guy was an Ikotchi. He’s name was Ommu Kiiri.  He came up to Jango and said, “You better go home SMALL FRY. You wouldn’t last a day here.”. He laughs at Jango as he walks away. As Ommu walks away, Jango says this, “No.”. 

Ommu turned around and asked what Jango just said. Jango said again, “No. I am not the one going home. It’s YOU who will be going home.”. Ommu charged at Jango after he heard that. He was about to hit him but Jango caught his fist in one hand and his other hand on his arm. Somehow Jango was able to throw Ommu down to the ground. (He must have gotten that move from Athon.) When others saw what he did to Ommu, they got so scared that each one of them got into their ships and fled before you could say ANYTHING that you could say. They got out so fast that it looked like a bunch of WOMEN (Anyone who LOVES fashion) who just ran into a clothing store just to get the 50% off DESIGNERS SHOES. While he was waiting, he saw Ommu trying to get up. He went over there to help him but Ommu was NOW afraid of him. Jango told Ommu that he didn’t mean to do that to him (as special when you are meeting someone new) and asked if they could start over and forget this ever happened. Ommu nodded as Jango helped him get up. Ommu told Jango thanks for helping him get off the floor and that he would do anything to help Jango whenever he needed help. Jango told him the same thing.

Jango and Ommu finally saw who put that Job up for them to come to Kamino. There were 3 tall longneck Kaminoians. Both Jango and Ommu looked up at them. One of the 3 Kaminoans told them that his name was “Lama Su”. They told them that Jango and Ommu would be their donors for making their Grand Army. When Ommu heard that, he took off in his ship and didn’t come back. After they all saw what Ommu just did, they told Jango that he got the Job. He was a little happy to get the Job but also scared of whatever they had plans for him. They asked him to take off his helmet but he said that he swore to his MANDALORIAN FAMILY that he would NEVER break that rule. Once they heard that, they asked Jango if he would like to see the place and stay overnight to see if he would change his mind. He told them that he will be back. He told the Kaminoians that he wants to go back home to talk to his MANDALORIAN FAMILY and see what they think. They agreed and let Jango leave to go home.

Once he got back home, he went to Jiben and told him about the Job he was offered. When Jiben heard what Jango had said, he told him that they should go to the MANDALORIAN Council. As Jango and Jiben told the Council about what they should do, they told Jango that he will  always be a MANDALORIAN. They gave him permission to go to Kamino and work for them. They also told him that he can come back whenever he wants to see his FAMILY and wouldn’t be mocked because he took off his helmet just to help others in need. He gave the MANDALORIAN COUNCIL and HIS WHOLE FAMILY a hug before leaving for Kamino. He gave Jiben a BIG HUG and told him that he loved him. Jiben told him too as they both started to cry. Jiben told Jango to come see him again soon. Especially when he has his own SON. Jango nodded and took off in his ship. He waved goodbye to his FAMILY as he was taking off.

Jango was able to help the Kaminoans create an ARMY that would help others. If he only knew about the chips (lucky, the chips were all removed in my Clonetober #3 “The Chip”). The Kaminoans were so happy to have him as their Clone Donor that they gave him a baby. Jango named him Boba after his Grandfather's Middle Name. The baby had his DNA but didn’t have the growth DNA in him so Jango would be able to raise one of his own and would finally have ONE PERSON to call him DAD. 

As Boba grew up with his DAD, he would go to different places and see amazing things. He also got to see his DAD’S FAMILY. Boba ALSO became a TRUE MANDALORIAN like his DAD. He even got cool armor but it was TOO BIG for him. They told him that when he is older, he can come back and get it. Boba was so happy that he was also part of the MANDALORIAN FAMILY. They told Boba he could also come and visit whenever he wants to see his FAMILY. Boba agreed. 

A few years later, the MANDALORIANS found out that Boba’s FATHER was KILLED in a BATTLE. Boba came to them after his FATHER died and was raised by his MANDALORIAN FAMILY. (He also didn’t want to be like a lab experiment like his FATHER was on Kamino.) Boba learned a lot of things from his FAMILY. He even got the “eating/drinking under the helmet” trick faster than his FATHER first did it. Boba also swore that he would help others whenever they needed him. He also was FINALLY able to wear the armor they made for him when he was little. He wore that armor with PRIDE. Boba did have his FAMILY go back to where his FATHER died and have a PROPER funeral for him. They were able to bring back Boba’s FATHER back (even with his head) to bury him in the MANDALORIAN WAY.

Boba would go Job to Job trying to make a living for himself. He finally was called by DARK VADER and a Bounty Hunter to find HIS SON and DAUGHTER back to him. Boba took the Job not only for the money but also he didn’t want to get the choke grip for DARK VADER if he refused to take the Job. (DARK VADER has already gone through 12 Bounty Hunters in just a WEEK for either failing or refusing to take the Job. Sadly, they ALL met DARK VADER’S choke grip.) Boba was happy to serve him and was thinking that he was doing his Job by helping DARK VADER find his CHILDREN. 

If you have already seen the “STAR WARS RETURN OF THE JEDI” movie, then you already know what happened to him. OR DO YOU. Of course you have. His armor is strong (a doesn’t taste good. YUCK!) that the Sarlacc threw him up and …...I will save that answer for those who haven’t watched the MANDALORIAN or when the “OTHER” show comes out.

Alaska

In Alaska, anyone over the age of 21 can buy marijuana products at retail dispensaries. The state uses a patient ID card system, so you can apply for a medical marijuana card there.

As far as growing at home, there are some rules. You can grow up to six plants if you’re over 21. However, only three can be mature at a time.

But there’s also an option to get a commercial license in Alaska. If you get a commercial license, then then there’s no limit to the size of your grow.

Arizona

Arizona only allows for medical marijuana use, which means you can get cannabis from a local dispensary. The law says you can only grow your own medicinal plants (or have a caregiver do it for you) if you live more than 25 miles from a dispensary.

It’s worth noting that the Arizona Department of Health Services doesn’t have the authority to inspect your home.  As the state website says.

Arkansas

Arkansas allows growing plants for medicinal use only, but according to their guidelines, this means you can’t legally grow at home.

California

California allows recreational and medicinal cannabis use by anyone age 21 or older. You can grow up to 12 immature plants—no more than six flowering ones—and have up to eight ounces of dried cannabis in your possession.

Colorado

Colorado has a medical program for cannabis use, but it’s also pretty lax as far as recreational use and growing. You can have up to six plants at home with no license. If you get a commercial grower’s license, then you can exceed those limits.

Delaware

Delaware has a medical marijuana program, but you can’t legally grow your own plants under their regulations.

Florida

Florida offers medical marijuana cards under the Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU). Unfortunately, even if you have a card, you can’t legally grow at home.

Hawaii

Hawaii permits marijuana for medicinal use and allows “registered patients and caregivers” to grow plants at home. The rules stipulate that you have to tag your plants with your 329 Card, Hawaii’s medicinal marijuana card.

There are other rules, too—such as only having a single grow site and no more than ten plants.

Illinois

Medical cannabis cardholders in Illinois can grow their own plants—but only up to five. But an adult who is not a registered medical cannabis patient  that cultivates less than 5 plants is guilty of a civil violation.

Maine

Surprisingly, Maine is pretty progressive. As of 2016, it approved marijuana for recreational use (following the adoption of medical cannabis in 1999). The state has both a medical program as well as guidelines for adult use.

In Maine, you can have up to three mature plants—plus 12 immature plants and as many seedlings as you want. Or, you can get a commercial license and exceed those limits.

Massachusetts

If you live in Massachusetts, you can grow up to six plants at home. The state allows for both medicinal and “adult use.”

Michigan

Michigan has medical and adult-use guidelines for marijuana on its website. Up to 12 plants per household are allowable under Michigan law.

Minnesota

Minnesota’s rules say that only registered patients and certified caregivers can use cannabis. From their website, it appears you can’t grow your own plants at all.

Missouri

Missouri has a medicinal marijuana program, so if you have a card, you can have up to six flowering plants. But, there’s a $100 fee to be able to grow your plants by state laws. If you have a partner with a card—or a caregiver—there are expansions on these limits (basically double).

Montana

Montana also has a medical program, and they require the permission of the property owner (if you’re a renter) to grow your own plants. As a registered cardholder, you can grow up to four mature plants, four seedlings, and have some “usable” cannabis on hand, too.

Nevada

Another state with a medical program, Nevada allows you to grow six plants if you’re over age 21. But in 2016, they also passed recreational marijuana laws. This is a state where you can grow your own cannabis if you live more than 25 miles from a dispensary.

New Hampshire

New Hampshire has a medical program. But you can’t grow. A 2019 bill tried to allow patients to grow up to six plants at home, but was vetoed by the senate.

New Jersey

New Jersey has a medical marijuana program, but currently, you’re not allowed to grow at home.

New Mexico

New Mexico allows medical marijuana cardholders to grow at home. The most recent policy update from their website stipulates a limit of 16 plants (no more than four flowering).

Ohio

Ohio has a medical marijuana program and a cultivators’ program. For now, though, cardholder can’t grow their own plants. If you want to become a cultivator, you have to apply for special licensing consideration—which costs thousands of dollars.

Oklahoma

Growing your own medicinal marijuana is A-OK in Oklahoma, but the limit per person is six mature plants and six seedlings.

Oregon

Oregon allows any adult 21 or up to grow their own marijuana. The household limit is four plants, but—no matter how many people live in the home.

Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania has a medical program, but you can’t grow your own plants—yet, anyway.

Rhode Island

Rhode Island’s medical program permits you to grow plants, but you have to buy tags for each one. But, you can have up to 24 mature plants in one dwelling—regardless of the number of residents.

Vermont

In Vermont, those ages 21 and up can grow two mature plants (and four immature). There’s also a medical program for non-recreational use.

Washington

Washington has a recreational initiative and a medical program. You can’t grow your own under the recreational law, but—you can only have medicinal use plants if you’re a cardholder. The possession amounts are up to 15 plants for personal use, with your physician’s authorization. Otherwise, it’s six plants for personal use.

Everything to Know About Using A Medical Marijuana Card in Florida

Finding your MMJ Use Registration Identity card in the mail can be a big relief. Finally, you have access to your needed medication. However, you should remember that the guidelines attached to using a medical marijuana card are very thorough.

These guidelines are efforts (by the government) to ensure that medical marijuana products are only made available to the patients who need them. This means that for anyone who is planning to use a medical marijuana (MMJ) card, there are several factors you need to be aware of. These factors often come up as questions from patients of our registered physicians.

With these questions in mind, we’ve put together some FAQs which can help you during the process of using your MMJ card.

Where can I get medical marijuana in Florida?

Once you receive your MMJ Use Registration Identity card, you can contact one of the licensed treatment centres and fill an order, or visit a dispensary. According to The Florida Department of Health Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU), patients and caregivers can only access marijuana through a state approved medical marijuana treatment center. Here are some dispensaries recommended by GreenHealth to approved patients.

Can I smoke my medical marijuana?

On March, 18, 2019, Governor DeSantis signed the Senate Bill 182 which makes smoking medical marijuana legal. However, this law only makes it legal if your physician has determined that smoking is the one of the appropriate routes of administration for the patient. You can only be provided with a 35 day supply of medical marijuana for smoking, and can possess a maximum of 4 ounces on your person. Smoking in public places is still prohibited.

Can I cultivate my own medical marijuana?

It is illegal in Florida to grow or cultivate your own marijuana for personal or commercial purposes. According to Florida law, you can only purchase medical marijuana at licensed treatment centres and dispensaries. These centres have gone through the needed processes to safely grow, cultivate, and dispense medical marijuana. Please remember that marijuana is still illegal under the federal law. If caught growing marijuana in Florida, you will be handed over to law enforcement for interrogation and investigation.

How much medical marijuana can I consume?

Your daily dosage will be dependent on your doctor’s prescription. When you receive your MMJ card, your physician will disclose how much medical marijuana will be needed for your monthly treatment. Your recommended dosage will determine how much marijuana you will be allowed to purchase, and what marijuana products will be made available to you (e.g. low-THC or high-CBD). It goes without saying that you should follow the dosage provided to ensure that your medication lasts through the needed time frame.

Is there a difference between medical marijuana and low-THC? Medical marijuana includes all parts of the cannabis plant: the seed, leaf, extracted resin, mixtures using some parts of the plants, and so on. Low-THC marijuana is one of the elements which can be extracted from the cannabis plant through specific cultivation methods. Low-THC are the dried flowers of the cannabis plants which contain the health benefits, but little of the psychoactive effects usually associated with marijuana.

I have a caregiver. Can they purchase my medical marijuana for me? Your caregiver can help you to acquire and administer medical marijuana treatments. Your caregiver should be someone who you trust and can help out with your medical needs. They should be able to accompany you to treatment centres, or go in your place if you are not up to the task.

Depending on the severity of your illness, you can also volunteer to be a caregiver to someone else. However, you will be required to apply for a caregiver card (separate from your patient card) to access medical marijuana for their treatments.

*Important Requirements for a Qualified Caregiver A caregiver must be:

21 years or above.

Able to provide a written document which states their agreement to assist a patient with their usage of medical marijuana.

Providing care for only one patient, except they are legally exempted from this clause.

A caregiver must not be:

A certified physician or doctor.

Receiving any form of payment or compensation beyond the expenses incurred while providing the patient with a service.

Employed at/affiliated with a medical marijuana treatment centre, dispensary, or laboratory.

Encourage your caregiver to review Section 381.986(6), F.S so they are familiar with the regulations attached to the role.

Can I take my medical marijuana to another state? No. Your MMJ card is only valid within Florida. As stated earlier, possession of marijuana is still a federal crime and you can be prosecuted for possession, especially in states where marijuana is still completely illegal. Avoid crossing state lines with any form of medical marijuana products. Alternatively, when visiting another state temporarily, you can ask your physician for a signed letter of necessity. A signed letter is generally accepted by dispensaries in other states where MMJ has been legalized.

My card will expire soon. How do I apply for a renewal? To maintain a valid medical marijuana use card, you must submit a renewal application every year. This application should be submitted within 45-days of expiration, not before. Both the patient and their caregiver are qualified to complete this application process. If you’re unsure of the expiration date of your MMJ card, it’s printed on the front of the card.

Mistakes that Could Cause You to Lose Your Medical Marijuana Card Now that you have a good understanding of how to use your medical marijuana Use Registration Identity card, you should also be familiar with the prohibited actions of the card bearers. On the issue of medical marijuana, the Department of Health works directly with criminal justice agencies to ensure that patients are not misusing their access to MMJ.

If a criminal justice agency finds a card holder breaking one of several laws under ch. 893, their license could be suspended or revoked.

Such situations could include:

Providing falsified, fraudulent, or misleading information during the application process. If discovered after issuing the MMJ card, the card will be revoked.

Altering or modifying the card in any way after it has been received.  

Failure to notify the Office of Medical Marijuana Use of any health development that could affect the patient’s qualification for medical marijuana.

Purchasing medical marijuana in a quantify higher than the recommended dosage provide by the physician.

Purchasing medical marijuana from sources other than licensed treatment centres and dispensaries.

Using a medical marijuana product, excluding low-THC, in a public place such as public transportation, aircraft, or school grounds. This is considered a misdemeanor of first degree.

Violation any of the regulations stated under ch. 893 and other sections which may be included in the future.

Anyone caught breaking these rules as stipulated in ch. 893 will not be convicted if they submit their MMJ license on or before their court hearing date. Violating these rules will also make it difficult, or even impossible, for that individual to acquire a new medical marijuana card in future.

To ensure that you always have access to the medication you need, it’s important to get familiar with the regulations and avoid breaking them. Once an individual is charged with a violation, their card is immediately revoked. Depending on the outcome of the following investigation, the individual is either suspended from MMJ access, fully revoked, or given full access again.

Your caregiver’s access could also be suspended Similar guidelines apply to caregivers. The access of any caregiver will be revoked if it is discovered that they source for medical marijuana anywhere other than a certified treatment centre. Under ch. 893, caregivers are also not allowed to transfer MMJ from one person to another. If caught, their access will be revoked immediately, and their case may be referred to a criminal justice agency, depending on the offence. Also, once a patient’s MMJ card is revoked, their caregiver’s access is also revoked.

Note: If a physician determines that their patient no longer needs medical marijuana in a healthcare capacity, they can also revoke the patient’s certification to access MMJ. Your doctor is expected to practice in compliance with the legal practice standards. This means that they closely monitor your health progress, and will periodically decide if your medical marijuana treatment is still needed or not. However, MMJ licensed doctors are very familiar with the health benefits of MMJ, and will not pull their patient’s access without a good reason.  

Enjoy the Benefits of your Medical Marijuana Card With your new MMJ card, you can enjoy continuous access to medication for your health needs. Your card also provides you with access to different licensed dispensaries which are closely regulated. This way, you are assured that the MMJ products you buy are of high quality, and cultivated mostly for their health benefits.  Owning a medical marijuana card also gives you less restrictions as long as you follow Florida laws while administering your medication.

With a simplified application process, less costs, better products, and less usage restrictions, there has never been a better time to own a medical marijuana use registration ID card.

Jika orang lain meninggalkan jejak digital melalui foto, bunda ingin meninggalkan jejak melalui tulisan ini buatmu.

Nak, dalam beberapa bulan kedepan bunda akan berumur 23 tahun. Masih muda ya? Hihi, pastinya bunda akan selalu merasa muda.

Diumur ini, bunda merasa banyak perubahan di diri bunda yang terjadi. Mulai dari mengenal hingga belajar mencintai diri bunda sendiri. Hingga belajar untuk menerima apapun situasi dan kondisi saat ini. Bunda selalu ingat kata-kata orang.. katanya sebelum mencintai orang lain, bunda harus mencintai diri sendiri.. dan bunda sedang belajar untuk itu..

Nak, bunda bukan anak pintar, bunda bukan orang yang sabar dan lembut, bukan pula orang yang penurut dan patuh. Tapi bukan berarti bunda ga bisa, tapi bunda sedang belajar untuk menjadi yang bunda bisa.

Nak, 2020 menjadi sejarah baru bagi bunda. Setelah lulus, bunda diberi Allah banyak ruang untuk belajar.. belajar mencintai diri bunda sendiri., mencintai Allah, mencintai keluarga bunda dan kelak mencintai Ayah dan kamu nak.

Kelak, bunda ingin menjadi istri dan ibu yang shalihah. Menjadi rumah untuk kembali bagi ayah dan kamu. Menjadi tempat ternyaman buat kalian sekaligus menjadi tempat yang paling dirindukan oleh kalian.

Beberapa bulan ini, bunda sadar bahwa ego dan amarah bunda masih sering meradang. Maaf ya nak, bunda masih belajar. Semoga kelak saat kita bertemu, bunda bisa jauh lebih sabar dari sekarang..

Bunda juga beberapa bulan ini selalu bingung dengan masakan bunda.. kenapa oma selalu bilang masakan bunda hambar ya? Padahal bunda sedang rajin-rajinnya melatih kemampuan memasak bunda buatmu dan Ayah kelak. Bunda bercita-cita bisa menyiapkan sarapan dan bekal untukmu dan ayah yang tentunya sehat dan enak.

Oh iya, bunda juga lagi belajar bisnis sekarang nak. Sejujurnya, bunda ingin sekali bekerja yang tidak banyak menghabiskan waktu diluar sana. Soalnya bunda ingin kelak menjadi ibu dan istri yang full-time. jadi nantinya Ayah, Bunda dan Kamu bisa menghabiskan waktu yang banyak bersama. Oh iya, waktu belajar bisnis, bunda sadar, cari uang itu ga gampang. Kelak, kamu jadi anak bunda yang patuh dan sayang ya sama ayah.. karna perjuangan ayah cari nafkah pasti lebih berat dari pada yang bunda rasain saat ini..

Satu lagi, bunda lagi belajar untuk jadi madrasah terbaik buatmu. Dulu bunda pernah ketemu tulisan yang menampar hati bunda.. katanya anak tidak butuh ibu yang cantik, tapi butuh ibu yang shalehah.. dan ibu saat ini masih jauh dari kalimat itu.. doakan bunda ya nak, semoga seiring waktu bunda bisa menjadi lebih baik.

Anakku, calon pelipur lara bunda.

Hari ini, bunda masih belajar untuk menjadi ibu dan istri yang baik.. kelak jika kita bertemu, maafkan bunda jika bunda kelak masih sering bingung, bunda masih banyak catatan yang harus bunda pelajari.. baantu bunda ya menjadi lebih baik.

Semoga kelak kita segera dipertemukan, tentunya dengan kondisi bunda yang jauh lebih siap. Ehe bunda juga ga bisa jawab kapan kita akan bertemu, tapi semoga segera ya. Bunda cari Ayah dulu ya. HHEHE 😂

La settecentesca accademia di S. Vito dei Normanni (2/2)

La settima riunione si tenne, come mostra la c. 213r di seguito riprodotta, il 1° gennaio 1738, cioè, almeno stando a quel che risulta registrato, a sette anni dalla precedente. Lacuna volontaria o no nella registrazione oppure sintomo di una progressiva stanchezza (fenomeno frequente per le accademie dopo l’entusiasmo e la prolificità dei primi anni)? Troppo il lasso di tempo per non credere nella prima ipotesi e la conferma viene dal fatto che più avanti (c. 221r) è riportato un sonetto di Ortensio De Leo e in calce una nota che recita: Il sopradetto Sonetto fu rappresentato nell’Assermblea Accademica per il compleanno del Signor Principe, tenuta nel palazzo di detto Signore a 7 Gennaio, Sabbato giorno di Santo Antonio Abbatead ore 21 1733. 

  Problema Accademico. qual fosse il motivo principale della Santità di Santo Francesco Xaverio: l’umiltà di sé stesso, ovvero la carità esercitò verso del Prossimo. Tenuta la presente Accademia nella Chiesa Vecchia a primo del 1738 giorno di Giovedì, e Capo del’anno ad ore 20, l’apertura della quale si fe’ dal Reverendo Andrea De Leonardis

Questa volta il problema accademico non è discusso in prosa ma trattato direttamente nelle cc. 214r-231v nei componimenti di Ortensio De Leo (6; l’ultimo, a c. 221r, in realtà è del 7 gennaio 1733, come riportato in una nota aggiunta in calce e del quale ho detto poco fa), Teodomiro De Leo (4), Ortensio De Leo (3).

L’ottava riunione ebbe luogo il 12 febbraio 1738, come si evince dall’incipit di c. 228r.

S’invitano li Pastori della nostra Arcadia a festegiare le felicissime nozze del nostro invittissimo Regnante D. Carlo Borbone, Rè delle due Sicilie, etc. colla Serenissima Real Principessa di Polonia Donna Maria Amalia Primogenita del Rè Augusto 3 di Polonia. e Duca della Serenissima Casa di Sassonia nella presente Assemblea Accademica, che si celebra quest’oggi li 2 di Febraio 1738 giorno di Domenica.  

Seguono a partire dalla stessa carta fino a c. 231v tre componimenti di Ortensio De Leo.

Si direbbe che le riunioni dell’accademia, almeno quelle registrate, terminino qui, perché la c. 232r non fa nessun riferimento specifico ad una tenuta nella data che pure è indicata (giugno 1738).

Seguono (cc- 233r-244r) i componimenti di Giovanni Battista Notaregiovanni, Ortensio De Leo, Giovanni Scazzioto (3) di Brindisi, Vito Ruggiero, Lorenzo Cavaliere, Lorenzo Ruggiero (2), Carmine Ruggiero (2), Francesco Ruggiero (2), Pietro Matera di Francavilla (3), Padre Piertommaso Barretta di S. Vito Baccelliere dei carmelitani, un autore il cui nome è illegibile (c. 242r), dottor fisico signor Carlo Evaranta (?) di Francavilla, un autore il cui nome risulta abraso.

Dopo aver angustiato il lettore con questa descrizione che pure era necessaria per avere contezza del documento e conoscere nomi di poeti poco noti se non ignoti sui quali varrà la pena in seguito approfondire [(solo alcuni di loro, per giunta parzialmente, risultano pubblicati in Pasquale Sorrenti, La Puglia e i suoi poeti dialettali : antologia vernacola pugliese dalle origini ad oggi, De Tullio, Bari, 1962; ristampa Forni, Sala Bolognese, 1981 (1 copia nelle biblioteca “Achille Vergari” di Nardò)], concludo, nella speranza che non si sia già dileguato, con un assaggio per così dire, divertente e anticonformista. Divertente perché riguarderà due componimenti che potremmo inquadrare nell’enigmistica; anticonformista, come è la stessa raccolta, perché, cosa inusuale in quelle di altre accademie, essa contiene pure sei componimenti in vernacolo, e ne leggeremo uno.

Traduzione: A Giuseppe Marchese nato da illustre famiglia. che ha seguito le orme dei suoi antenati, le mirabili gesta del padre santo, che per valore, giustizia, clemenza, carità, magnanimità e forza, insigne, eccellentissimo, conosciuto, che, carico della gloria degli immortali,  dona a tutti coloro che nel mondo lo festeggiano un esempio di tanta onestà, ecco, questo elogio a forma di piramide da me Leo viene costruito, eretto, dedicato.

Il componimento dal punto di vista iconografico appare ispirato dal carme ropalico [dal latino Rhopalicu(m), a sua volta dal greco ῥοπαλικός (leggi ropalicòs), derivato  di ῥόπαλον (leggi ròpalon)=clava], gioco metrico-grafico praticato già in Grecia a partire dal IV secolo a. C. poi in ambito latino presso i poeti neoterici del II secolo d. C., consistente nel costruire un verso con parole in cui ognuna ha un numero di sillabe pari a quello della precedente più uno, in modo che, sistemando le parole una sotto l’altra, esce fuori una forma che ricorda quella della clava. Qui, come si nota, rispetto al modello originale l’aumento progressivo delle sillabe è rispettato solo nelle tre righe superiori e la forma finale (che non è quella della clava ma della piramide) è ottenuta anche con un’opportuno ingrandimento o rimpicciolimento dei caratteri (ragion per cui nella mia trascrizione, avendone adottato una dimensione fissa, la piramide è andata a farsi benedire. Oltretutto nelle composizioni latine similari la prima parola, anche e costituita da una sola lettera, doveva avere un senso compiuto. Qui, invece l’iniziale I (che in latino, imperativo presente del verbo ire, avrebbe significato va’) è parte integrante del successivo oseph: insomma, un giochetto di origine dotta ma furbescamente semplificato.

b Da notare in questa parola, nella penultima del terzultimo verso e nella prima dell’ultimo la grafia di dd, in cui ciascuna lettera appare tagliata a metà da una barretta orizzontale. È come se il copista con quel segno diacritico avesse voluto precisare che il gruppo dd (esito di ll) nel dialetto brindisino presenta una pronuncia ben diversa dalla cacuminale retroflessa del leccese (perquest’ultima vedi https://www.fondazioneterradotranto.it/2012/08/01/il-solito-dubbio-di-trascrizione-per-un-fonema-salentino/).

c Plurale di ommu, che a prima vista potrebbe sembrare un francesismo (da homme). Tra l’altro gli etimologi considerano l’italiano uomo derivato dal latino homo, che è nominativo, contravvenendo alla regola che vuole i nomi formatisi dall’accusativo (hominem), mentre il plurale uomini mostra chiaramente la sua derivazione dall’accusativo plurale homines. Credo che proprio in –mm– stia la spiegazione dell’apparente stranezza, ipotizzando la seguente trafila: homine(m)>homne(m) (sincope)>homme (assimilazione)>ommu (regolarizzazione della desinenza; simile il napoletano ommo attestato ne Le Muse napoletane di Giambattista Basile (XVI-XVII secolo); lo stesso fenomeno, mediato dalla lingua parlata, avrebbe coinvolto uomo.

Qui probabilmente si carica ulteriormente del significato che la parola, di uso letteraria e oggi obsoleta, aveva in italiano, anche se il successivo Segnore sembrerebbe, se non escluderlo, almeno limitarlo.

 Having established his reputation as a director with an eye for beauty and an understanding of light in 2009’s Signatures, director Nick Waggoner has blissfully elevated his game even further with his latest Solitaire.

 As any regular viewer of action sports movies knows, ski movies usually identify the skiers on screen and compartmentalize their segments into personality branded affairs.  This is in keeping with the usual ski movie purpose of being as much of a sports broadcast showing the development of the discipline as they are a stand-alone movie.  Solitaire’s skiers remain pretty well anonymous except for the odd shot when their helmets are off and even then only their buddies, their moms and the hardcore fans will know who they are looking at.  Solitaire’s position is not so much of a movie with an emphasis on the “sport” but more as a paen to the act of skiing, a lyrical, lovingly crafted motion picture of riders in motion.  Waggoner’s is a gracefully executed film where light is funneled through the camera lens with a master craftsman’s level precision.  The word “progression” is often bandied about in freeskier circles when referring to the development of skills and tricks.  The progression here is not so much in the tricks or the runs but in capturing the vibe of the inner-space of the soul-skier.  And as far as progression goes, hands down, Solitaire manages to convey this feeling, this headspace, on a level yet seen in ski action films.

 This is a ski movie with a healthy ski-mountaineering component.  The adventure naturally present in mountain climbing lends itself well to Solitaire’s narrative device that is derived from Joseph Conrad’s 1902 novella “Heart of Darkness”.  Solitaire’s Spanish language narrator relays the journey of one man into the unknown, venturing into the wilderness seemingly for no purpose and for the biggest purpose of all, which is to find one’s personal limits, to test the bounds.  Some of the shots in Peru of the climber setting off in the dark of the early morning, lit only by his headlamp are dramatically executed and set up a terrifically appropriate atmosphere given this Conradian theme. In reality, however, this reference to “Heart of Darkness” supplies only a surface touch, a starting point for Solitaire whose real focus is on adventure, both geographically and spiritually.  Solitaire has none of the famous socio-political themes of Conrad’s novella: the indictment of the colonialist mindset and the dark actions of men when they’re unfettered by the strictures and rules of European society.  And, more particularly, there’s no sense of the dimension of evil that Conrad ladled heavily onto his vision of a boat journey up the Congo River.  That’s a good thing seeing as it would be awfully difficult to convey a sense of evil with shots of snow covered sheer mountain faces lit in the whites and blues of misty morning daylight.

 Solitaire works like an epic poem, an ode to skiing, to mountaineering, to taking a chance and making an effort, to finding that strength within yourself that can only be found by you, to playing and winning that game of solitaire that skiing sometimes can be.       By Mark “The Attorney General” Quail.

Liberty Health Sciences Changes Auditors This week Liberty Health Sciences (CSE: LHS) announced they have changed auditors from MNP LLP to Zeifmans. While this may seem worrisome, there are no outstanding issues with the previous auditors. Interestingly enough, MNP LLP is the same accounting firm that represents Cresco Labs (CSE: CL). This has led to the speculation that acquisition discussions may occur, as a single auditor could not represent two clients in acquisition discussions and they would often side with the larger company. We've previously highlighted Liberty Health Science as a potential target ever since Cresco canceled the VidaCanna acquisition. Given Cresco's desire to become one of the top MSO's, they will need to find an entry into the second largest state in the U.S. and LHS is an excellent target. LHS has a healthy cash balance, solid market positioning (see below), a CFO burn of $1.5 million and a net operating loss of $0.45 million as of the last quarter. While they only just closed the Origin House acquisition, and have their work cut out for them, they would be smart to make moves while the industry is in a bear market. Looking at the premiums of past public acquisitions like Cresco/Origin House (26% on the initial announcement) and iAnthus/MPX (31%), the opportunity could be big for Liberty Health investors. While the market has cooled off, even a 20% premium would result in a $260 million deal for LHS. The net result would be 34 million Cresco shares or a 48% dilution from current levels at an exchange of approximately 0.1 Cresco share to one Liberty Health Sciences share. Active Patients Reach Another Big Milestone This week the active patients broke 300,000 for the first time. While this represents substantial growth, more importantly, it means they have reached another milestone of 100,000 patients added to the registry. According to government regulations, each company is now permitted to open an additional 5 dispensary locations on top of their previous count. While it's unclear when the change will take effect or when companies will open the stores, it will certainly help boost market growth. iAnthus' GrowHealthy Continues Expansion iAnthus' subsidiary GrowHealthy announced the opening of it's 12th Florida dispensary. They have also indicated they have "several" additional stores that will open in early 2020 pending approvals, and "several" others under construction with a total of 10 more under lease. While they are still a small player in the Florida market, a near doubling of dispensary footprint would be significant for the company. It will be important for iAnthus shareholders to watch the effect these rollouts have on total sales. Investing in a highly competitive state will present many challenges. Shareholders should expect to see substantial market share growth, otherwise, it will be a sign iAnthus is failing to capture market share from entrenched competitors.

Trends in the Florida Marijuana Market

This week three new dispensaries were approved by the state of Florida and patient growth broke the 300,000 marks. The growth of the Florida market is showing no signs of slowing. However, overall this signifies an increasingly competitive market where dispensary growth outpaces patient growth, leaving fewer patients per store. Growth of Florida Patient Count and Dispensaries

Source: Florida OMMU. Looking at overall consumption and consumption per patient, we saw a bounce back from what appears to be a sporadic time around the holidays and into the new year. While it's unclear whether the dip in flower sales was due to any supply bottlenecks, it did line up with a drop in concentrate sales. Next week will indicate whether consumption rates will continue to grow at their breakneck pace or whether supply is finally starting to keep up with demand. Marijuana Concentrate Consumption

Weekly Competitive Analysis

Now turning to the companies themselves, the following three graphs breakdown the market share of dispensaries, marijuana concentrate sales, and marijuana flower sales. Overall, there were no notable changes. Investors looking to buy into the growing Florida market should look for companies with substantial market share. Source: Florida OMMU. Diving a little deeper, if you want to see the best return on your capital, you should invest in efficient operators. These will be the companies that generate a higher share of sales compared to their share of dispensaries. Opening and operating dispensaries is very capital intensive. A company with a lot of stores but fewer totals sales is using your capital inefficiently, signaling there are likely better investments. The following graphs look at dispensary efficiency (x-axis) and market share (bubble size). Investors should look for companies that operate their dispensaries efficiently (highest ratio) while still capturing a meaningful portion of the total market (largest circle). Source: Florida OMMU. Companies with ratios greater than 1 are generating a higher proportion of total sales compared to their proportion of dispensaries - this signifies efficient operations. The size of the circle indicates how substantial their operations are relative to their peers. Invest in companies with higher efficiency and greater market share (large circle). For example, Trulieve (CSE: TRUL) and AltMed punch above their weight in extract sales, while Truilieve and Liberty Health dominate the flower category. This last graph shows the change in total sales this week compared to the last month's weekly average. Source: Florida OMMU. Notably, Trulieve has seen a slight decrease, which is to be expected as the competition heats up. Considering the size of their market share, these losses are minimal if they occur sparingly. Liberty Health saw a more substantial drop in flower sales. Given they sit second in market share in this category, this could signify competition is heating up with other producers bringing capacity online. Investors will need to watch this closely to see if LHS can maintain their position in the flower market. GrowHealthy saw a substantial drop in concentrate sales this week. Looking closer at the data, this is due to two massive sales weeks in December that increased their monthly average. On a week over week basis, sales are flat. Investors should watch for healthy growth to pick back up, especially with GrowHealthy's new dispensaries coming online.
