People should start buying non-Samsung androids again. Apple and Samsung need more competition and the weird elitism around Apple is ridiculous.
Motorola are doing pretty affordable flipables with interesting colours and materials and really good smart trackers, Ulefone have managed to make a rugged phone that actually has good hardware while still being a decent emergency hammer, OnePlus are doing an affordable foldable and are back to being quite competitive in the semi-high end market, Nothing are doing interesting things in the low end market, Fairphone are actually trying to do something about the repairability and longevity of phones without compromising the performance too much and are also fairly affordable.
And aside from that there are so many colours and sizes and form factors, so why are people out there limiting themselves to like two choices. "Oh the eco system is so good" most people don't even own a computer anymore, it's not that hard to sync whatever apps you need with each other and Apple's beef with headphones is a flaw that should go the way of their unwillingness to use normal chargers.

- June 6th 2025 -
When was the last time you read a book? Yesterday.
What was the last flavor of tea you drank? I made myself a very strong matcha latte about an hour ago. I used the matcha latte mix from Trader Joes, and I added in 2 grams of the new decaf matcha I just opened. I had read a comment on one of the ADHD subreddits where someone said that decaf matcha helps them focus so well that it's almost like taking ADHD meds, and I decided to try it for myself. Well… I'm not really getting that effect right now haha. It's just making me feel overstimulated, which is weird because there's no caffeine. But I have a history of paradoxical reactions to things.
If you’re a youtuber, what was the last tag video you filmed? I'm not a Youtuber. I have an account, but only for watching/subscribing.
Are you subscribed to a lot of channels on youtube? Yep. At least several dozen.
What’s a trend from high school that you miss? I actually kind of miss Xanga and Myspace. Social media just hasn't been the same since those days. Now it's all about ✨content✨ rather than connections.
What color are your snow boots? Black.
Has it snowed yet this year where you live? Yeah, the last it snowed was in April.
What month is it right now? June.
Do you like the season your birthday is in, or would you change it? I like the first two months of winter, because Thanksgiving and Christmas are my favorite holidays, and I also love snow. But by late January or early February, I start to get sick of the bitter cold and the lack of sunlight (winters here are VERY cloudy/gloomy).
Do you make lists of baby names that you like? No. I don't want kids so it's not pertinent to me.
What color were the last pair of leggings you wore? Black.
Do you eat breakfast every day? Yes, I can never skip breakfast. Even if I'm waking up late and I'm not eating til like noon or later, the first thing I eat HAS to be a breakfast food.
What is something you hate about your hair? I can't stand how poofy it is. It's wavy but it's like the "every strand of hair has a mind of its own" kind of wavy rather than the smooth kind of wavy. It makes it poof out a lot and it's so annoying, so I usually straighten it.
What was the last thing you had to eat? Tomato bruschetta crackers with some brie. I wanted to get those little mini mozzarella balls to go with the crackers, but they didn't have any at the store yesterday, so I got brie instead but it doesn't pair as well.
Do you wish you had a better phone? Nope, it's an S25 Ultra so arguably there is no better phone in terms of hardware. Maybe a OnePlus. Those are really nice, too.
What was the first thing that you wanted to be when you grew up? I can't remember the very first thing I wanted to be. Might have been a veterinarian or a scuba diver. I also went through a phase where I wanted to be a chemical engineer like my dad was at the time lol.
What is annoying you right now? My in-law's family dynamics. There's a lot of enmeshment and codependency going on amongst both of my husband's parents and all of his other Boomer-generation relatives. They all try to make others responsible for their feelings rather than practicing healthy emotional regulation. I stay as far away as possible from their nonsense.
Do you have a headache? Nope.
What color is the rim of your whiteboard? It doesn't have a rim.
Do you think your parents’ childhood photos look vintage? They definitely do, since my parents were born in 1958 and 1960.
Unicorn emoji or heart eyes emoji? Heart eyes emoji.
Do you find texting fun? No, I hate texting. I don't like how it has led to so many people having the expectation that you should be constantly contactable and replying to them immediately. My husband is the only person I enjoy texting.
How old were you when you got your license? I was 17.
Do you miss someone? Yes, my Granddad. My family is about to have a big reunion/vacation in a few weeks, and it's going to feel so sad to not have him there with us.
If you could change one thing about your life, what would it be? I'd change my brain chemistry so I wouldn't have ADHD. I have a fairly severe case of it and it can be disabling in some ways.
Do you block a lot of people on facebook? No, because I never go on there.
Have you ever let someone walk on you and then later regretted it? That has happened once. Usually I don't let people walk all over me, but I let that happen at my last job because I wanted to stay working there and it was one of the few jobs in the area with the exact role that I was in.
Do you have any past mistakes you’ve made that haunt you every day? Yeah, not leaving that job. Shortly after I decided to stay working there, one of my coworkers caused a very loud accident that gave me an acoustic shock injury, and my ears have been ringing every single second of every single day of the 9+ years since then.
Are you bothered by something someone said to you years ago? Nothing comes to mind right now, but I'm sure I could think of something if I spent more time pondering this question.
Who is the last friend that you lost? Dave, I guess, but it's for the best. He was kind of a dick sometimes.
Do you have anyone who loves and supports you? Yes.
If not, do you want that? I already have that.

the controversy with android and iOS
yes, I’m really going to express an opinion here 💀
DISCLAIMER: I don’t mean to offend, or insult anyone preferring Android or iOS. I am simply expressing my personal opinion on this matter, and use this as a caution in case you do not like what you see. Thank you for reading.
So, we’re finally talking about the biggest debate. Is Android better or iOS?
I hate to be another bummer just like the other reviewers, but it really does depend on the person.
Android has the best features, functionality and customisation. It has a lot of design options (thus appealing to me) and is quite popular too, mostly amongst geeks as well.
To most of the public, iPhone is the one. This is almost always because of its popularity and the symbol it represents.
“You have an iPhone? You’re rich. You’re part of a niche crowd.”
That sort of thing. I hate that motive the most because that means they don’t care about the little details and UI stuff that Apple looks out for. The little emojis. The little functionalities within each app. The little UI things it watches out for in its own apps.
In my opinion, I’d like a hybrid of iOS and Android — iOS bringing its design qualities, and Android bringing its customisation and functionality.
Not all Android buyers are always functionality-focused or geeks, and not all iOS buyers are paying for the status symbol. Sometimes iOS buyers might be looking for the minimalism the product brings, and Android users might be buying it for the variety of apps it offers.
There are plenty of motives and reasons why people buy which product which isn’t always expressed in the demographic, or the graphs, or the surveys.
Honestly, I was the worst indecisive tech geek you would’ve ever seen (still am). Before I got a new phone, I had two, working hand-me-downs: my dad’s Oneplus 3T and my mom’s iPhone SE (1st gen). These were like 2015 vintage antiques, to the bustling, big-phone-loving 2019-2023. I still survived, though.
I would switch between them so fast, it would span within three months to a day (yes). I took my time studying, deciding, and operating an Android and iOS device to reach the conclusion I boast today.
I now have a Samsung, and it’s the best. The temptation of an iPhone has haunted me to this day to (because of its minimalism and UI), so much so that I dug out my old hand-me-down iPhone, just to feel it working again.
Android phones and iOS phones still do have a long way to go, many improvements to inculcate, and a lot to start (especially iOS when we talk about system functionalities*), even if you might think this is the furthest we could go.
*With the addition of a customisable lock screen, iOS fans were on top of the world, with thousands and thousands of reviews popping up each second immediately after its release. Android was the clear winner from the start, just like Android fans said, because (as usual) Android already allowed users to customise their lock screens long before Apple did.
So yeah, today I pick Android.
Who knows what each company may unveil in the future?

On-Ear vs Over-Ear Headphones & OnePlus Watch 3: Making the Right Choice in Tech Gadgets
In today’s fast-paced digital world, choosing the right tech gadgets can significantly enhance your lifestyle. Whether you're looking for the perfect pair of headphones or a feature-rich smartwatch, it's essential to understand your options. Two popular topics of discussion are On-Ear vs Over-Ear headphones and the newly launched OnePlus Watch 3. Let’s explore both and help you make informed decisions.

On-Ear vs Over-Ear: Which is Better?
When it comes to headphones, the On-Ear vs Over-Ear debate has been ongoing for years. On-ear headphones sit directly on your ears and are generally more compact. They are ideal for casual use, travel, and those who prefer a lighter device. However, they may not provide complete noise isolation and can become uncomfortable after prolonged use.
Over-ear headphones, on the other hand, completely cover your ears. They typically offer better sound quality, noise cancellation, and comfort for extended listening sessions. These are perfect for audiophiles, gamers, or anyone working in a noisy environment.
If portability and light weight are your priorities, on-ear headphones might suit you. But if you value immersive sound and comfort, over-ear headphones are the better choice.

OnePlus Watch 3: A Smartwatch Worth Considering
The OnePlus Watch 3 is the latest addition to OnePlus’s wearable line-up and brings several upgrades from its predecessor. With a sleek design, AMOLED display, and durable build, it stands out in the crowded smartwatch market. It combines elegance with functionality, offering features like heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, sleep analysis, and multiple sports modes.
What makes the OnePlus Watch 3 more attractive is its extended battery life. Users can expect up to 10-14 days of use on a single charge, which is impressive for a feature-packed smartwatch. It also supports Bluetooth calling, message notifications, and app alerts—making it a great companion for those always on the move.
For fitness enthusiasts, it includes GPS tracking and water resistance, allowing you to take it for runs, swims, or hikes without worry. It syncs smoothly with Android smartphones and integrates well into the OnePlus ecosystem.

Conclusion
Whether you’re comparing On-Ear vs Over-Ear headphones or evaluating the capabilities of the OnePlus Watch 3, it all boils down to your individual needs and preferences. On-ear headphones offer mobility and style, while over-ear options deliver richer sound. Meanwhile, the OnePlus Watch 3 shines as a well-balanced smartwatch offering both style and substance.

saw couple of people saying they have an iPhone and can't afford a better phone, I'm sure you can, iphone holds its value on resseling really well for sone reason (at least it did last time i checked) and you can buy like two second hand pixels for the price of one, or some Chinese phone like Xiaomi or something cheaper with unlocked bootloader, e. x. Techno spark 10 yeah big and clunky but powerful enough and costs 100 $ new!! and if you're afraid of spyware it has open bootloader so you can just put grapheneos or lineage os (android but made from open source code only) an without even google services if you want, thats not that hard but you can ask guys at phone repairs to do that for you maybe, or ask your friends around
officially supported by LineageOS phones https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/ (it can be installed on other ones but its a bit harder usually, check in you local search engine)
my current phone OnePlus Nord CE 2 (i dont reccomend it due to onplus locking all bootloders afterwards) has sd card slot, headphone jack, and semi open bootloader and cost me 100$ second hand in pristine condition
found and used this site to search what i wanted, it's really cool: https://www.gsmarena.com/search.php3
I just got my first ever iPhone and my god it is terrible, how did they get so popular this thing is a nightmare
