Elizabeth's regency au

One would think that the life of a royal is one of ease and peace. But this was far from true for Princess Elizabeth, youngest daughter of the royal family of the Isle of Man and granddaughter of the King of Ireland. Often made to feel like an outcast by her sisters, and struggling with the weight of royal life, she felt like she never belonged in the life she had. Never meant to rule her homeland, and sure she'd someday be sent away, peace was never a certainty for her.

That was, until her 18th birthday. Taking a trip to America with her elder sister Princess Marina, Elizabeth was saved from a terrifying situation by a dashing young American came to her rescue. Immediately smitten, the princess and Naval lieutenant Daniel Morwin began an intense and rapid romance.

Three years later, they were poised to marry just as Elizabeth came of age. But the princess had long been hiding a dark secret about her betrothed. A secret that would be forced to the surface when Daniel abandoned her at the altar on their wedding day.

Devastated and ashamed, Elizabeth revealed the truth to her parents, along with her favorite uncle, Prince Ciarnán and his wife, Róisín. Fearing not only for Elizabeth's physical and mental health, but her reputation, her family agree to send her away from the Isle of Man for a time, so that she might recover while the gossip dies down. Ciarnán and Róisín, facing scrutiny and rumors of their own, immediately pack up their niece, assume fake identities of wealthy Irish landowners, and bring her to England's new seaside resort of Sanditon in the hope that being near the sea will help her.

I've made posts about it on my multi, but for those here. I'm gonna have to take a break from replies for a while. My laptop seems to have stopped functioning, I can't afford a new one, and until I get a new one, I won't be able to tell if I lost everything from the old one or if the hard drive can be transferred.

Oooh there's a couple ideas I've had for Elizabeth that I haven't gotten to play yet. But probably the biggest one, and the only one my half asleep brain can think of right now, is a role reversal au.

Like Elizabeth would be a sick human who heard about magic water, goes to the carnival, and finds a merman trapped in a tank. She then has to set him free, while trying to find a cure for herself. And she can't even potentially join him under the sea when all is said and done.

Pretty much the movie, except instead of being the mermaid, Elisabeth would fill Cam and Elle's parts.
