I got to play a little bit of FFXIV until extreme technical difficulties kicked me off, so here's my Warrior of Light, O'ravi! I'm still tinkering with her surname and the technical difficulties are probably gonna make me change it anyway. She's a 4'8" Seeker of the Sun Miqo'te archer, just looking for opportunities to cause chaos. She'll eventually be killing people with music! 馃拑馃樇馃幓
I know right now that she loves sunshine, sand, traveling, spicy food, and dancing, and she can't sit still or stay in one place for long.
I 100% blame @coldshrugs for this in particular cause Io been living in my brain forever 馃ゴ馃惏馃寣 but also major shoutout to @ilmhist , Owen, Kary, Iskander, and Alice who have been so nice and helpful to me 馃挆

Other minor/semi-obscure references to non-XIV FFs in FFXIV for people who care:
Cid's father is named Midas. I think this is reference to Cid's nephew in V, Mid
Did you know G'raha Tia himself is a reference to FFIII. Specifically the character Desch. His ancestor from 3k years ago has the name. He just happens to be tied to the wrong tower from III this time.
That said, from what I've heard, Heaven-on-High's lore *is* more a reference to the *Right* III tower, the Tower of Owen. I haven't paid attention, so I don't know. It's also built by Desch.
There's also a character named Owen in-game. He has no relation to Desch in-game (Desch is a catboy though we haven't met him). Owen is responsible for coming up with a way to untemper people.
The song that plays in "Weeping City Of Mhach" outside of boss themes is a reference to FF9's Battle 1.
It's implied that something like Chocobo's mystery dungeon takes place in the same universe, as Omega said they modeled Alpha on beings from a planet they knew of that beat a being like him.

Ten Fandoms, Ten Characters
Tagged by @gaelathebane, and I think a few others in the past.
I鈥檝e held off doing this meme because I really haven鈥檛 been active in 10 traditional fandoms. Some of these are a bit of a stretch. The list is in chronological order, more or less.
1. Marvel Cinematic Universe - Loki. I have a thing for genocidal trickster gods.
2. James Bond - Q, as played by Ben Whishaw. This fandom boasts some absolutely fantastic fics.
3. Sherlock - Sherlock Holmes. I have lost nearly all my enthusiasm for this show, but I loved it once. Definitely not my best fandom experience. Sherlock fans take no prisoners.
4. Pacific Rim - Dr. Hermann Gottlieb. Yes, I love the weird mathematician (who is obviously in love with the even weirder xenobiologist).
5. Torchwood - Dr. Owen Harper. I used to love Doctor Who, but Torchwood was a much bigger obsession.
6. Stargate Universe - Col. Everett Young and Dr. Nicholas Rush. It has always been an important point of principle that I love Young and Rush equally. This is one of the most conflict-heavy fandoms I鈥檝e ever been in, and the battle lines were drawn between Young fans and Rush fans. I still refuse to choose.
7. Once Upon A Time - Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin. My stay in this fandom was relatively brief. Both the show and the fandom disappointed me. Besides, I was still too obsessed with SGU to give OUAT much of my time.
8. Longmire - Mathias. I am ill-fated to love a minor character (and the rarest of rare pairs) in a show that barely even has a fandom. It hurts.
9. Final Fantasy XIV - Lady Iceheart/Ysayle. Although to be honest, my favorite FFXIV characters are actually my own OCs and the OCs of my RP partners. The NPCs aren鈥檛 bad, but I find OCs more interesting.
10. Dragon Age - Solas/Fen鈥橦arel. Because it鈥檚 only appropriate to bookend this list with another genocidal trickster god.
Looking over this list, I鈥檓 concerned that 9/10 of my favorite characters are men. I disappoint myself. If it were a list of my all-time favorite characters, rather than a list of favorite characters in my fandoms, it would contain a lot more women. Still, I think it鈥檚 telling that I鈥檓 drawn to fandoms by my obsessions with male characters. Something to work on.
Tagging: @apassingshadow, @galadhir, @defyaugury, @ellstersmash, @theladydreadwolf, and anyone else who hasn鈥檛 done it yet.

the deceased gobbue in eastern thanalan my beloved ;--; like:
"Local legend claims the Lonely Giant is everything from the ghost of a Sil'dihn sultan, to the prototype for a new model of Garlean machina. Ul'dahn scholars, however, simply believe him a Coerthan goobbue who lost his bearings during the chaos of the Calamity, and after a long journey through the Black Shroud, died of exhaustion upon reaching Thanalan."
