OUGH how about ⏰ + 👥 for our hades s/is to shake things up >:3 i hardly ever talk abt mine but his name is aellopus (aello for short!) and hes the general of an army of harpies hades employs throughout the underworld. hes a big bird monster who appears scary and unapproachable but hes actually very sweet and a huge softie. bc of his appearance tho not a lot of folk try to talk to him and he gets very lonely :> he NEEDS friends so bad so hes perfect for this meme HDKSKS

When/How would our S/Is meet? How were first impressions?

Paramonos (Moe for short :]) does spend a lot of time around the House, so it’s likely that the two ran into each other there, maybe Aello was reporting to Hades at the time and Moe passed by. He probably did a double-take because he hasn’t seen a harpy before up close, but when he initiates a conversation (partly so he can find out more, partly to get to know this New Person) he reigns in that awe to be polite. In terms of first impressions, Aello is cool! And a little intimidating, since he is a big bird creature, but he’s still an intelligent person, not an animal, so Moe reckons if he meant any ill-will he’d probably warn or threaten first. Paramonos probably gave off the first impression that he’s generally a bit inexperienced and kinda bored/looking for stuff to do.

Would they be friends/enemies? How well do they trust each other? How do you think the dynamic would be?

I think they could get along well enough! Moe could continue to strike up a convo with Aello whenever they bump into each other, and even offer to try and tell his fortune (Moe needs the practice, after all! Win/win). I assume Aello can get busy with work, but Moe’s a great choice if he wants someone to chill with afterwards. Plus, the more they talk, the more Moe would trust Aello because it’s clearer that the latter isn’t as scary as it first appears. 

I also think there’s something a little funny about the dynamic of “Looks unapproachable but he’s actually a softie” vs “Looks chill but has received visions of The Horrors”.

The picker wheel chose Zagreus! This ship is technically between Zag and an OC, Paramonos.

Paramonos is blood-related to one of the Fates, and as such has inherited quite a few of their unique talents, including the gift of prophecy. Paramonos and Zagreus have known each other for a while now, with Paramonos spending much of his time around the House of Hades. To begin with, the main reason the two hung out was because they needed the company. Paramonos also let Zagreus in on any of his visions that involved Zag, letting Mono train while giving Zag a heads-up on future battles. As they got to know each other better, one thing led to another and they agreed to an arrangement, companionship that was a bit more scandalous than chats by a table in the lounge. They find each other attractive, nothing wrong with a snog or a visit to Zag’s bedroom every now and then. Definitely no deeper feelings developing as they spent more time together. If you asked either of the two, they would both swear there was nothing deeper than that. Even in private, Paramonos and Zag assured each other that their relationship was shallow and meaningless. The reality was that Paramonos was already in love with Zagreus by the time the latter was starting to catch similar feelings. At the time, Mono thought that Zagreus had other commitments that were far more important than a glorified arts and crafts fortune teller. It was impossible to keep this a secret forever though, as Paramonos had a hard time keeping Zagreus from finding out the truth. To Mono’s surprise, Zagreus was more than understanding and reassured Paramonos that he’d been stressing himself out over nothing. Zag and Mono changed their former arrangement to reflect what they actually wanted; an emotional relationship.

If I had to describe Paramonos and Zagreus as a couple, I would say their relationship is relaxed. They’re just as goofy and friendly as they’ve ever been, just with the added bonus of having a cuddle or saying ‘I love you’ in no uncertain terms. There’s a bit of that familiar teasing that the two both seem to be partial to; it keeps Zag on his toes, and helps Mono relax and laugh. And yeah things get more complicated with Zagreus making his escape attempts, but Paramonos is going to continue to support him, even if it means they may not have a future together. They’re more thankful for what they have now in the present.

Concept for a Hades OC. Paramonos, son of the Fates. Abilities include control over a pair of cutting shears & supernatural thread, along with minor prophetic abilities.

Paramonos’ role in the game is a minor NPC. Before an escape attempt, he will tell Zagreus about his latest vision (e.g. “I saw that you would kill 10 Louts.”). If Zagreus fulfils this vision, Paramonos will reward him, but if not, the Fate-in-training will state that he needs more practice.
