One of the thieves places a chest in front of Nabooru. A smile on the thief's face.

"Group of monsters attacked a cart escort with pauroll for the soldiers. Managed to sneak this off during the commotion. As far as they know the monsters took it. Not a soul saw me." She opens up the chest which is full of silver ruppees.

"A good haul I think."

The clatter of the chest at her feet tore her attention of the plans she studied, eyebrow rising as the other woman opened the chest. Torchlight glinted off the silver rupees piled inside. Nabooru breathed a sigh, a hint of exasperation clinging to the breath.

" Your efforts are commendable, and I am proud of you for accomplishing this feat without being seen. Or so we had best hope. " She folded her arms. " Hyrule is looking for any reason to demonize and attack us, so for all our sakes, the story of monsters stealing this loot had best stick. Otherwise, you may have invited the war we've been trying to avoid to our doorstep. "

She kicked the lid closed. " Thank you for your service. We will find good use for this haul in a discrete manner and deal with any fall out we may see should someone have seen you after all...Or if some captain or general decides they don't believe a monster was capable of making off with this unnoticed. "

With a nod, the chief dismissed the other woman. " Next time, do not take on such a risky venture without an order to do so. "

Saying goodbye’s are always the hardest - fictional or real.

Cause the one’s leaving often mean something to you - so much.

We find an escape or even ourselves in shows / characters that even though we recognize are temporary... still the hardest to let go.

Maybe like all stories this ones run its course. Maybe just maybe there’s something more to be told and/or explored - in other ways.

Interestingly enough they always leave us with memories that we’ll forever cherish. Memories that would consistently bring about a smile. Remind us of a love once cherished.

Here’s to a story I found in quarantine. A one even if I hopped on board late, still had the greatest impact. A one both true and portrayed by two of the most dedicated and down to earth people - I’ve had the opportunity to get to know. Here’s to them - for the love and grace with which they’ve thoughtfully portrayed every moment penned.

Here’s to the family in the fandom, we’ll forever have. ❤️
