Luimelia as a ship was funnier when you randomly watched Amar Es Para Siempre since you were a kid with your mom and you remembered shit such as the time that there was a convo between Luisita's parents being like "what a family of seducers, one of these days our son is gonna come home with a VEDETTE as a girlfriend" or something like that, only for it to end up with their daughter being the one that brought the vedette home as her girlfriend.

I just looked up Amar Es Para Siempre and it has over 2.700 episodes and is still running?! Is this normal for soap operas??

First, I should tell you that you wanna watch Luisita and Amelia's story without watching everything you can always watch their story with subs on Dailymotion or YouTube

Now to answer the question, we got very long soap operas, but this one has been running for eighteen years. Before Amar Es Para Siempre there was Amar En Tiempos Revueltos; it's actually the same soap opera, they simply changed the name to Amar Es Para Siempre when they switched channels. So add like 1700 episodes more or so? Also there's a webseries spin-off named Luimelia about the ship but like an AU where they live in 2020 instead of 2023?
