Completely blaming @chuckhansen for this: I’m having all sorts of thoughts about Paxton and Rita when I really should be concentrating on getting loose ends tied up at work before I leave on a long overdue vacation.

#Paxton is now the baby of his family and has an older brother named Javier #his aunt on his mom’s side HATES Rita for some reason but her opinion doesn’t matter since no one like Tia Pamela anyway #Paxton’s mom ADORES Rita and threatened to disown him if he ever broke up with her #Pax’s grandma on his dad’s side judges people by their cooking #Rita made pozole for her first family get-together and was NERVOUS the entire dinner #Abuela Rivera taught her the super secret tamale recipe she hadn’t even shared with her OWN kids like three months later #Rita nearly cried when Mama Helena called her mija for the first time #and when she insisted on Rita calling her Mama Helena in the first place
