#PINGPLOTTER UPDATE NOT INSTALLING INSTALL#
Run the test again to see if it was just a transient issue, but if it is the same then create a new ticket as that is the WG gateway at fault. This is what I showed support but they weren't convinced there was anything wrong server side. I just ran anotehr one which shows the spike at the final hop: Thanks Wasaabi - I'm honestly thinking of changing isp but I guess if there wasn't some prospect of it improving then I was reluctant to go through the hassle. This indicates that possibly Optus is not buying enough bandwidth and therefore gets sub-optimal routing and there isn't a lot you can do about that other than not being an Optus customer. My connection is on Telstra and also from Victoria and my route shares the same router you have at hop 17 but on mine is hop 12 and is about 100ms less than yours. It then jumps massively and although we can see Telstra Global at some points the other addresses are not getting resolved, but it would be safe to say they are on the same network, which is Telstra's international carriage service. Just from the latency numbers you can tell that up to hop 9 is in Australia. My options as I see it are to stop playing WoT (at least on the HK server), play on a hotspot (which means ping of about 300ms, and its relatively unstable), take up the premium support issue (not confident of that leading anywhere because it seems to be an issue starting along another company's infrastructure - maybe telstra?) or changing ISP (and not sure if that will make any difference if its just the same network that I'll be running along).Įdited by prince_machiavelli, 26 August 2022 - 02:09 PM. Thought I'd see if anyone here has any insights/experience/suggestions. Its was escalated but Optus has now referred me to a third party "premium support" company, who charge a minimum fee just to listen to what the problem is. I've raised the issue with my ISP (optus) and noone within optus has been unable to understand or provide any information about the issue. I've raised a support ticket with WG, they said its not a server issue. Sometimes, the first game I have will stay at 240ms, but then its back up to 420ms. The game is unplayable for me on the HK server. I've had a graph like this for the last couple of weeks (often with the final hop to WG server showing a jump of 200ish to 420ish, sometimes not, but ingame ping is consistently at around 420ms): Using pingplotter to check your latency and packet loss - Technical & Bug Reporting Section - World of Tanks official Asia Forums Start with post 1 in this thread and run pingplotter as per instructions there. I'm not IT savvy but i just don't know what to do next.Īny assistance would be greatly appreciated. I've contacted my ISP - No issues all fine
#PINGPLOTTER UPDATE NOT INSTALLING INSTALL#
I've uninstalled and done a fresh install of WoT - No good My rig has not changed in 2 years with no issues until 2 weeks ago.Įverything (internet, streaming services etc) other than WoT are working correctly. However the second the counter reaches 0 my ping skyrockets to 750-999 and everything in between and gameplay is near impossible or just futile. When selecting HK or AU server generally it states HK 350+ and AU 25-35 and this is the same on the load screen prior to game play. I'm on the east coast of Oz (SEQld) and in the last 2 weeks my ping is through the roof (750-999). I'm not a gamer but have enjoyed WoT on and off for the better part of 5 years under various names. Could someone please help me interpret my pingplotter?
