#Plus I would love a fic for Marinette to be blissfully unaware of all of this because she’s being distracted

Crack Prompt: Alya and Adrien were assigned to do a project and Adrien suggested that they work in his house.
It also leads to Alya snooping around and Adrien having to reel her in and then they discovered that Adrien’s father is Hawk Moth.
Adrien instantly gets into a spiral and Alya is there to reassure him during this. They came up with a plan to steal the brooch but also to mess with Gabriel for being a shitty father and villain.
Or in layman’s terms, Adrien goes through a teenage rebellion phase with Alya encouraging this while making sure to support Adrien and threatening to expose Gabriel being a terrible father thanks to Alya’s influence as the Ladyblogger and being best friends with the babysitter of Nadja’s daughter.
(Marinette is blissfully unaware of this because she’s too busy having her brain melt into mush at seeing Adrien in leather outfits and looking absolutely fine)
Bonus if it ends with Rena and Chat just telling off Gabriel after he reveals his plans with the wish and Rena giving Gabriel her absolute terrifying speech of how he should allow his son more freedom or else she will make his life a living hell.
(Let’s say, if he doesn’t comply. She’ll make him her big sister’s new punching bag)
Also, it would be funny if Alya figured out Adrien’s identity during this or Plagg simply said “Screw secret identities” when the duo found out who Hawk Moth is and exposed himself to comfort his holder

May be a little late, but! 5:"Wait a minute. Are you jealous?" Adrienette
Cracks knuckles… Okay so other than the bang fic and the notoriously delayed update to Better Together, I haven’t written (and definitely haven’t published) in the ML fandom in a long time. Hopefully, my overly exhausted brain/body will help me remedy all of that this weekend! For now, here is this prompt response, which turned out a little differently than I had planned… @seththeshallow if this is you, I hope you like it! If it is someone else, please come off anon and talk ML with me!!!
Two years. For two years, Marinette had successfully concealed her identity as Paris’s favorite female superhero. Whether it was because of the luck Tikki brought her, or because all of her friends were teenagers absorbed with their own lives, Marinette had blissfully moved through the world without being aggressively questioned on her repeated absences and rampant lateness by her peers.
Up until the day she slid onto the bench next to Alya finding her best friend examining her through narrowed eyes. “What?” Marinette chirped, innocently batting her eyes at Alya’s inquisitive expression.
“Late again? Third time this week…” Alya trailed off as she turned to watch Adrien sprint into the room and slam into his own seat next to Nino. Flipping open her notebook, Alya clicked her pen and her tongue in perfect rhythm. “Three akumas, three latenesses,” she whispered under her breath, glancing back at Marinette as she made an obvious note on the lined paper. In front of them, neither noticed as Adrien’s ears turned red. “Maybe, I have discovered the identity of Paris’s hero,” tapping the pen against her chin, Alya continued to stare at Marinette with one eyebrow raised.
“I’m not! I can prove it!” Waving wildly, Marinette tried to think exactly how that could be achieved. Before she could come up with an answer, she was saved by their teacher’s scolding at the front the room, calling the class to order and cutting off Alya’s need to continue to prod.
Not being an expert at photoshop, it had taken Marinette over an hour to perfect the manipulated picture which showed her civilian identity arm in arm with her superhero one. Feeling accomplished, she forwarded the image to her phone and saved it to her gallery, ready to prove to her nosy best friend once and for all that she was not a polka-dotted superhero. Slipping the phone in her pocket she smiled at Tikki in her purse and jogged down the stairs to head out of the house.
The walk to the theater was short and Marinette spotted her friends lounging against the stone wall, the three of the laughing over something she had missed. Approaching the group, she tried to calm her nerves, hoping to appear casual when she produced her picture proof. Accepting a hug from Alya, a hand slap from Nino and a blushed nod from Adrien, Marinette joined them to head toward the ticket line. As conversation hit a stalling point, she pulled her phone from her pocket and unlocked it. “Hey, I told you I had proof that I’m not Ladybug,” nudging Alya with an elbow, Marinette passed her phone into Alya’s waiting hand. Her best friend looked skeptical as she jutted her hip out and raised the picture to eye level.
Behind them, Adrien made an inhuman squawking noise as he rammed forward into Alya’s shoulder, reaching for the phone. Alya didn’t respond, slowly turning to stare open-mouthed at Marinette. Rooted to his spot, Nino let a soft “wow…” slip out as he examined the phone in Adrien’s shaking hands.
“It’s no big deal,” Marinette said, shuffling her feet on the ground trying to gauge the reactions of her friends. “I ran into her on the street and told her what you guys thought, so she took a picture with me.” Her terrible inability to lie was making her voice sound squeaky as she attempted to remove the phone from Adrien’s grasp. When he refused to relinquish it, Marinette scowled at the top of his head. “Wait a minute. Are you jealous?” Something inside of her felt ill, realizing that Adrien was probably upset that she got a picture with Ladybug and he didn’t. He wasn’t exactly smooth about his crush on her alter-ego and Marinette had been attempting to come to terms with it for the better part of a year. Although she was accusing him of jealousy, he could easily accuse her of the same thing.
“You’re Ladybug,” Nino whispered, pulling Alya and Adrien closer into the huddle around Marinette. “You have the same hair, and the same eyes, and shape of your earrings, plus you know your body and all. OW!” Nino recoiled as Alya smacked him on the arm. “You know what I mean!” Pointing a finger at Marinette’s face, Nino glared in her direction. “We’ve known each other longer than anyone, you can’t lie to me, Marinette, so spill it. Are you the bug?”
She scrunched her eyes shut, feeling the redness seep over her cheeks with a mixture of realizing that it was time to come clean and having no idea what their reactions would be. Slowly she nodded her head without opening her eyes.
“Called it!” Alya said, shoving Nino’s shoulder. “You owe me ten, baby,” tapping her cheek, Alya laughed as Nino planted ten loud kisses to her cheek.
Throwing an arm over Alya’s shoulders, Nino shook his head. “Alya has had this theory for months now, then you decided to put yourself in a picture with Ladybug. Smooth move, Marinette.” Using a singular finger, Nino poked Marinette in the forehead, finally prompting her to open her eyes.
“You’re not mad?” she asked, peeking through her bangs at her best friend and her oldest friend. There was a ball of knotted apprehension in the pit of her stomach which prevented her from looking at Adrien. When Alya and Nino rolled their eyes and tackled Marinette into a hug, she let the nervous laughter finally escape her.
Looking over their shoulders, she knitted her brows together watching Adrien gnaw on his bottom lip as he muttered toward the ground. He looked confused and a little constipated as his flush went across his face and over his ears. Marinette wanted to ask if he was mad, but the saleswoman called for the next in line, forcing their little group to move forward to the ticket window.
Nino playfully stole Alya’s wallet, slipping it into his back pocket and handing over his own money for their tickets. Marinette smiled at them, loving the way they taunted each other in a constant expression of their love. Smile still twitching at the corners of her mouth, Marinette reached for her own wallet, when a hand covered hers to push it back into its place. Swallowing, she looked up at Adrien who was handing over money to pay for their tickets. “I… what are you… Adrien?” the sentence was magnificent and Marinette blushed with her own awkwardness.
“I’ve got it,” he said, nervously glancing down at her before stepping away from the window with his hand lightly touching the small of her back. “It’s the least I can do for my favorite hero.” His hand was still floating near Marinette’s back as they reached the line for snacks. Applying a small amount of pressure, Adrien leaned into her ear and whispered, “after you m’lady.”
Freezing on the spot, causing Adrien to crash into her side, Marinette stared at him with wide-blue eyes. “Did you just… you said… but how?” Another remarkable sentence that conveyed exactly what she meant.
“Talk about it tonight on patrol?” Adrien was still focusing on Marinette, unaware that Alya and Nino were now gaping at the side of his face.
“Yeah…” Marinette breathed, dropping her hand and feeling Adrien’s fingers brush against her own. “Tonight then,” she confirmed with a nod of her head. She had no idea how she was going to survive the next two hours in the darkened theater sitting next to her crush, who happened to also be her partner in heroism. What she did know was that she couldn’t wait for patrol to begin.
