Polyhedron of the Day #220: Sesquitruncated octahedron
The sesquitruncated octahedron is a near-miss Johnson solid. It has 38 faces (24 triangles, 6 squares, 8 enneagons), 84 edges, and 48 vertices. It can be constructed by inscribing an enneagon in each face of a regular octahedron and filling in the resulting gaps with triangles and squares. It has octahedral symmetry. It is a cell in the sesquitruncated rectified cubic honeycomb.

The medial disdyakis triacontahedron is a uniform dual polyhedron. It has 120 faces (all scalene triangles), 180 edges, and 54 vertices. It has icosahedral symmetry. Its dual is the truncated dodecadodecahedron.
