Why We must Segregate our Wastes?
Proper Waste Segregation is the main problem of our country nowadays. Due to increase in population and industrialization, the number of wastes produced by our country is increasing day by day.  Some Filipinos neglect the importance of the Proper Waste Segregation. Even so, they don’t know that their actions have a huge impact in our environment. (GOVPH, 2001). There must be rules and regulations implemented to reduce the amount of waste produced by our country and recycle the things that we can still benefit from.
Proper Waste Segregation is important especially that it saves the environment from the toxic effects of inorganic and biodegradable wastes. It also makes our community’s health better (Downs & Acevedo, 2019). However, if we continue to ignore this kind of problem in our environment, we may encounter different toxic chemicals that can harm us such as air pollution, water contamination, and soil erosion. These consequences can also affect us because we tend to have diseases that are dangerous to our health. Therefore, we must help and take responsibility so that we can maintain the safety and cleanliness of our environment.
Furthermore, segregation educates and raises awareness about responsible consumption and waste generation. It encourages individuals to be mindful of their consumption patterns and compels them to consider the environmental impact of their choices. (Ann, 2023)
To sum it up, the order of our environment is in our hands. The simple things we do are always connected to the place we live. So, by joining organizations and cleaning up our surroundings, we can contribute to improve the quality of our natural environment. (Earth5R, 2023). Let’s keep in our mind that, participation is the key to accomplish our goal. Make our environment a healthier, better place to live in and save our natural resources for our future generations.

BEAT THE WASTES!
Balanoy San Teodoro mabini Batangas is known because of its amazing diving spots and it's beautiful scenery However, because both locals and visitors are unaware of the negative effects of their incorrect behavior, they frequently overlook how important cleanliness and discipline are and how they negatively impact our environment.
Waste issues developed as a result of negligence and finally posed a threat to everyone, particularly the inhabitants. The "baryos"' surrounding garbage would spread pollution and many diseases like dengue. This kind of issue shouldn't be disregarded, especially when it involves our environment. If we allow this to continue, it will also have an impact on how the area is perceived by visitors because it is destroying the local scenery and tourism attractions.

So, as members of the "Proper Waste Management" campaign, we made the decision to carry out a thorough clean-up in this specific location. One of the most effective ways to prevent poor waste management is to reduce the amount of waste generated in the first place. This can be done by practicing the 3Rs - reduce, reuse, and recycle. Avoid single-use items and opt for reusable alternatives whenever possible. Avoid overconsumption and choose minimal packaging options. This program aims to make improvements and bring back the cleanliness of the environment. We are urging everyone to take part in this effort because it will help not only us but also everyone else, including locals and potential tourists.

Proper Disposal of Waste
Materials may undergo change when they are used. When they no longer serve the purpose for which they are made, they are eventually discarded.
What materials are considered wastes and should be disposed of?
Wastes of whatever form cause litter. they may also pollute the surroundings when left unattended. The are different waste materials. First, you have to classify them in biodegradable and non biodegradable.
Biodegradable waste are those that decompose. These include plant cuttings, dry leaves, food leftovers, seeds and used paper. Nonbiodegrable waste are those that take a long time to decompose like plastics.
Nonbiodegradable:
*metal cans
*bottles
*cardboard boxes

*metal craps
- this items can be returned to the factory for recycling or fine crafts.
