Vox Populi
The Voice of the People.
It has always been important to listen to the people around us. They see what we don’t see — the problems that we aren’t aware of.
The people we interviewed came from different colleges and were of various year levels. A lot of them came from the College of Engineering, the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Agriculture, the College of Nursing, and the College of Business Management.
During the interviews, they raised and, upon comparing their responses, shared many concerns such as:
Transportation
Security
Restrictions in appliances
Lack of printing services
Waste Management
Maintenance of school materials
Finances
Storage of school supplies
As we narrowed down their concerns, we focused on these three:

We brainstormed a couple of ideas to address these issues. We had to consider its feasibility, like whether we had the ability to make the product, to be allowed to conduct within the school premises, and if it was more than profitable enough to maintain it. I suggested a slightly modified version of the ID-anchored e-cash system that was already used in my school. Meanwhile, a friend brought up the rela-hotline we discussed during lunch. Someone mentioned a locker system and another suggested to create appliances that made use of solar energy.
Among the concepts we came up with I particularly liked the top three we chose, which were the rela-hotline, the CMU ID e-cash, and the locker vending machine. These three were the ideas we had consulted with our professor, Mr. Reymark Menguito.
After that, me and my group crossed out the rela-hotline idea as it was too popular among the higher years. We also debated between choosing to pursue the CMU ID e-cash system and the locker vending machine. Each idea had its own pros and cons.
With regards to the CMU ID e-cash system, we were inspired by an existing system in some schools, wherein their IDs served as a pass for entry into the school premises and a card to hold load to purchase items within the school. We thought that it’d be good to ease some restrictions with physical money, like the need to bring change since some stores don’t have them. It would also encourage students to get their school IDs, thus helping with security.
However, the system is hard to code, and with our current skill level in that aspect, it would take a lot of time to develop the system, and we don’t have that much time. It is also costly since we need some delicate electronic to develop the ID card prototype.
Meanwhile, the locker vending machine is a concept we came up with with inspiration from similar ones in Japan. We planned on modifying it to be simpler and integrate the PisoNet’s system of converting cash to service. It would address a many students’ need to store their stuff—stuff that they need a lot but is a pain to bring every day. Like the ID e-cash system, it will need a lot of coding, but it isn’t complex enough that it needs a lot of time to develop.
Although the professor was more inclined towards the ID e-cash system, after some debate, we agreed to focus on the locker vending machine, which would give the user a password to reopen the locker after use. The locker also has a built-in timer which charges the user a certain amount of money based on the amount of time they used it.
I know that we have a lot to do. The locker isn’t going to be easy to create. We have to bear in mind security features, technology and time restraints, and the rates we’ll charge among other things. We also need to strategize where we’ll place the lockers and the locker’s dimensions that is specifically tailored to meet each college’s needs.
But as I said before, we can’t get gold without being bold enough to take the first step. We just have to learn to plan to fail strategically and be realistic with our product given the resources. Even if that point would eventually lead to failure, it’s going to be a stepping stone to redefine our business strategy.

Building Responsive Applications on all devices and OS would have been exceedingly challenging as front-end design was only reliant on HTML and CSS. With less coding and quicker delivery, frontend technology advancements like HTML5, SCSS, Bootstrap, Material UI, and Service Workers (PWA) will meet these challenges very quickly. In short there are many benefits of being always on the latest technologies.
AIQod used to work on which tech stack earlier?
In 2016, we were using the PHP Laravel framework and MySQL as our backend database.
I understand that you were pivotal in changing the tech stack from PHP to Mean stack, how did you do it? 
We were utilizing PHP and MySQL to build a product, as I indicated earlier, but after some time, it started to become a barrier when we tried adding new features and managing unstructured data. As a team, we made the deliberate decision to move the product to the new stack, but it was not an easy choice because we were not putting much work into the migration, which slows down the creation of new products. But after that, my technical team and top management held a brainstorming session where we identified the pros. and cons of this decision, We have already decided to use a MEAN stack after having shortlisted new stacks to migrate to, conducting research, speaking with users of the stack, and considering the product plan. We developed a migration plan after the team had unanimously approved and finalized the MEAN stack. Since we are switching from SQL to NoSQL, creating a MongoDB schema was the first thing we did. Then, because our PHP stack had previously been monolithic in nature, we opted to employ a microservice design for our backend. To determine how many microservices we should have when we begin migrating, we performed a logical breakdown of our monolithic architecture. And this is where my contribution comes in: I wrote the first MEAN stack program and structure for the platform on which we started migrating and completed the entire migration in a few months.
What are the technologies AIQod is working on/leveraging presently and how it is performing?
As mentioned earlier, currently we are using the MEAN stack as our base, which includes Angular 14, NodeJS, Node MongoDB 6.0, and Express JS. We also use Python to solve problems related to AI/ML. The platform also uses Redis for caching. We are pioneers in deploying our solution on the cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.) using Docker images on the Kubernetes cluster.

How did you see the technology change in the company throughout the years? 
The business never loses sight of technology. We review our stack every quarter and assess any improvements that have been made as well as the addition of new features in accordance with the product strategy. For instance, our front end is currently using Angular 14, although we were using Angular 2 five years ago when we transitioned to Angular we added other layers over the years, such as document digitization based on AI. In the product, we introduced a caching layer utilizing Redis and an NLP layer for categorization and Atlas for databases as a service and added an analytical engine to the solution. We recently integrated with chatGPT to generate automated code and new innovations in technologies will keep coming in where we need to think ahead and keep moving forward and adopting these technologies. We have been constantly on the lookout of technology changes and we were very conscious and planned the upgrades that we need to do on the platform this goes through a rather quick approval process to ensure bureaucracy will not cripple our platform growth.
What are the problems you face while changing the technology or upgrading the technology department? 
Any upgrades are first uncomfortable, but understanding what advantages we will experience in the long run always helps. Knowing the new technology is the first issue we encounter when it is implemented, thus learning the technical details of the new technology might be difficult if there isn’t a team member with experience who has already worked with it. A major issue that will arise in the first few months after a technology upgrade is, in my opinion, the team’s acceptance of the change. To get around this, I first built a straightforward prototype with a folder structure. All the vital tools needed for this stack, which facilitates streamlined development and deployment, have been identified. VS Code Studio as a code editor, Postman as a rest client, Swagger for API description, MongoDB Compass for GUI querying, and Jenkins for creating CI/CD pipelines are a few well-known names. Other developers have held thorough sessions with the team on each subject and component of the new stack after gathering information alongside me, which aids in quicker adoption.
As you lead the whole tech team in the company, how do you leverage people skills for completing the task? 
Every member of the team brings a unique set of abilities and talents to the table, whether it be expertise in client communication, troubleshooting complex issues, problem-solving techniques, or specialized tech skills like front-end, back-end, etc. Taking all of this into account, we examined the talent required and gave the assignments accordingly. Additionally, we offered training that will aid with task completion. We have developed a customized syllabus for each technology and divided it into basic, intermediate, and advanced levels as part of our organization-wide knowledge management program. Each level is connected to the assignment, and after review, the team is given access to the different course levels. This program’s knowledge foundation places equal emphasis on soft skills and technology.
What is the issue you faced while managing the team and how do you manage them? 
Since each member of your team is unique, a variety of difficulties arise on a daily basis. The difficulty is that a new fresher who has recently graduated from college joins the team and needs to be brought up to speed in order for him/her to get valuable expertise and assist the business in solving this issue. We also give them access to specialized training materials and assignment links. We must always communicate with them at regular intervals in order to understand their perspectives and take appropriate action. We also have weekly 1-on-1 meetings to provide correct counseling regarding their daily routines, etc. People may find it difficult to focus on learning new, advanced skills at work, gradually affecting their performance. We attempt to hold workshops on cutting-edge technical subjects each week to address this issue and keep people informed.
What is the message you want to convey to the younger generation/upcoming talent?
I always tell youngsters that we must continuously improve ourselves and to achieve the same, we should read at least one blog per day about new technological advancements. We should approach every challenge with a positive outlook and vigor.  Any technological challenge must first be broken down into a plan of action that will ultimately address the problem more quickly and most importantly be the first one to take the step and be the leader in technology upgrades.

Thanks for your Time today. In less than a month, the game will go on sale June 11th, so please tell us your current feelings. *(Note: Interview was held on May 18th.)*
Ishiwatari [I]:
Normally, the development would be over, and I think that it's still a feeling of "please play this everyone", but for us the release date is over. Instead, I think it's all in the timing of the beginning. It's a feeling of what to do in the future.
Katano [K]:
You can see from the point when the 2nd Open Beta was conducted (May 14th to 16th), we are still developing and verifying everything. Of course, we will continue to adjust the game even after it is released, but for the time being, we are working hard to provide a full-package game that will satisfy our users on the release date.
4Gamer: This work was originally scheduled for release on April 9th, but the release date was extended to June 11th. Could you elaborate on the reasons for the delay?
I:
Biggest reason was that we received a lot of opinions about the processing and specifications around the Network. It took some time to meet those demands.
4Gamer: Didn't you get an opinion on the battle balance?
K:
Of course, there are also those aspects. In the open beta, we were observing the movements of various players throughout distribution, etc. and receieved many opinions. I think it was a necessary measure to aim for something more ideal.
4Gamer: The 2nd open beta test was conducted on May 14th. How was the response from the players here?
I:
In a phrase: pros and cons. It was more pronounced than the first beta.
4Gamer: How about from a developer's point of view?
K: I feel that it was meaningful to conduct the open beta test again before the release. Around online, a server error occurred even during the second beta, which caused trouble for the players, but it was great that we could confirm the cause before the release and fix it, I think.
Also, regarding the battle system, there were some elements that changed in fundamental areas from the first and second beta. There was both positive and negative opinions from the players about them. As for what kind of adjustment will be provided on the release date? I'm glad that I had the opportunity to consider it again.
4Gamer: I also played in the 2nd Open Beta Test, but I felt that there were quite extreme adjustments in terms of battle balance from the 1st. Was that intentionally made extreme?
K: If I said it was intentional, it may be a little misleading. However, to be honest, there was a part that was adjusted to the point that the product version would NOT be as extreme.
4Gamer: When that happens, there's a possibility that the product version will be considerably adjusted from the 2nd Open Beta version.
K: At this point, we are aware that we CANNOT sell the product as it is. After analyzing all the contents and feedback of each of the 1st and 2nd sessions, we will continue to make adjustments up to the last minute, aiming for the final product version.
4Gamer: By the way, what was the most popular request from the players at the end of the first session?
I:
Most common area was around the Lobby.
K:
Most of the opinions were that the lobby was difficult to use and it was difficult to play against each other. The development team also participated in the beta test from the users' point of view and agreed with everyone, so I felt that it was necessary to fundamentally revise the revision before the release.
4Gamer:
In terms of battle balance, there were many opinions that the aerial options were too strong in the first test. In the second test, I feel that some extreme adjustments were made, such as shortning the flight distance of jump, adding landing recovery after aerial actions, and strengthening anti-air attacks.
K:
As I mentioned earlier, it's certain that we've made some extreme adjustments (for the 2nd test).
4Gamer: When I actually played it, I felt the degree of freedom around aerial moves was reduced compared to last time.
K:
To be clear, it was cramped. We recognized that as well. After analyzing user feedback, we are currently deciding where to land.
I:
Regarding the dissatisfaction with the actions side, we expected that such a voice would come out. However, there was a possibility that something I didn't notice might come in to view, so I decided to steer a lot this time.
4Gamer:
It was quite literally a 'test'. By the way, I think that the past GUILTY GEAR Series was mainly about aerial combat. Is it the idea where you wanted to emphasize ground warfare because you dared to reduce jumping?
I:
I'm not sure because it's free to play (the beta), but I'd like you to think so. One of the problems with the previous Guilty Gear was that it was attractive for 'free aerial combat' and the difficulty there was too high. It's a recognition that it's too difficult for new players to come in.
Difficulty of operation included aerial battle, combo length, etc. had to be remade to some extent for new players and alleviated. The result of a comprehensive review of these is the current form.
However, I don't want you to misunderstand that just because the difficult part was simplified does not mean that it has become easier as a fighting game. I think the game has become more severe in the bargaining part as the risk in actions has increased. (GP's note: yes, very Samurai-Shodown-like).
K:
I've always wanted to make the first step of the stairs easier to touch and play, but I don't think it's easy as a game design. We are designing with the hope of providing "Guilty Gear-ness" that integrates the difficulties and severity that are different from previous series.
The story of aerial warfare is the same, and I don't want to make jumps separately. We would like to provide free bargaining and technicality that makes use of the aerial behavior that is unique to "Guilty Gear", however, since the past work was like this, it is NOT the idea that it should be so this time as well. (It doesn't have to be the same as last time, in other words.)
[The balance is "wild adjustment" emphasis on fun, not strength.]
4Gamer:
Please tell us about character adjustments. Is there a direction or guideline for overall adjustment? In the 1st and 2nd tests, it was Potemkin that was adjusted in an easy-to-understand manner, and I felt that a lot of elements were weakened.
K:
Regarding adjustments, first of all, we value the character's strengths, charm, and fever points. For example, the Potemkin of this work is designed so that the command throwing Potemkin Buster can do unprecedented damage. This part has not changed since the last test.
I:
As with the previous Potemkin, there was a fact that he was a grappling character, but he was strong "without" throwing. Therefore, I try to reconstruct that part to push out the charm of a grappling character.
4Gamer:
If you are attracted to grapplers, it would be nice to have a lot of charm in throwing techniques. By the way, do you have any idea/plans to intentionally add elements that the users may be looking for when making adjustments?
K:
No, this work provides a new starting line, so I try not to be aware of it as much as possible (ouch!). To be honest, I can't say that there is none at all. However, the word "user" ultimately refers to the player who has played the past work, so instead of intentionally approaching it, the emphasis is on preparing a new concept and designing weapons and weaknesses. I put that down and make it.
I:
In past works, there were some contradictions, such as a long-distance character with strong close combat, and a throwing character with strong attacks. We are developing to match the character concept that we and the player think of so that people who start from this work will not be confused.
In addition, although the term "wild adjustment" has been used for some time, when making the adjustments, the emphasis is on "whether it is interesting or not" rather than the parts that are strong or weak. Anyway, sharpen the sharp part and drop the parts to be dropped. It's like getting paid.
K:
As Ishiwatari says, in the end, fun is more important than balance. Therefore, I don't want to sharpen the charm and weapons of the character. In addition, it is often desirable to adjust the upper features to strengthen the whole, but I do not think that it is correct that as a result of strengthening, many characters who can do anything will be born.
However, in the past works, as the series progressed, there were times when quite a few characters became versatile. Because it's a game with a long history, elements that make up for weaknesses were often added.
I:
There was also the aspect that being able to do anything would lead to the individuality of the player.

The starting line for the adjustment was what to do with this work, taking into account the historical facts as they were, regardless of whether it was good or bad.

Please tell us about the Netcode. In this work, ARC's original rollback netcode was adopted. How was the response on the development side in the 2nd Open Beta Test?
K:
It's not that there were no problems at all, but I think that the overall results were very good. In particular we received very positive opinions from overseas players. There may have been many players who were dissatisfied with the delay method.

There are FOUR time differences in the United States! (lol time zones)

It's not comfortable in Japan and Brazil, but it's now possible to enjoy a comfortable match in Japan and South Korea, or in the United States. I feel a great response from the development.

I don't think young players today know that there was a regional competition. Since we are from an Arcade Field, we want to know more about the Arcade Culture.

I:

4Gamer: Anji Mito hasn't participated since the Guilty Gear XX Series. Was Anji Mito scheduled to appear from the beginning of development?
I:
No, he was just one of the candidates. As with any work, even right down to the last frame, the characters will still be a worry until it's finalized.
K:
Regarding Anji Mito, it was planned that we would pick a character who did not appear in the Guilty Gear Xrd Series, and I remember that's what decided it.
I:
I really want to put out more characters. The more characters there are in a fighting game, the more fun it is. In that sense, I would like to provide you with new characters as soon as possible. (Ishiwatari wants a HUGE roster, hah!)
K:
I have a desire to have all the characters that appeared previously in the series. As always, I'm sorry for the fans of the characters who have been waiting for us.

Who is the most difficult character to select among the 15 characters?
I:
First of all, there was a concept that we wanted to release the initial characters of the first GUILTY GEAR, and so 9 character slots were filled. All of the following 6 characters were a concern, so I don't think anyone was the best.
4Gamer:
Leo and Ramlethal are characters from the Guilty Gear Xrd Series, so some fans were surprised to participate in the conflict.
K:
For those who are playing from Guilty Gear Xrd, I was thinking of releasing either Ramlethal or Elphelt, which are the representative characters, from the beginning. But this time, Ramlethal was chosen.
I:
For the fans of Guilty Gear Xrd, I wanted to bring out the recognized characters rather than making them completely different. However, with Leo I really didn't bother so much, because I wanted to put him out there.
K:
Since it was decided to implement Story Mode, whether or not it was a character that appeared in the story had some influence on the character selection. Although the cost is different between the battle and the story, since it is based on the same character model, there was talk of wanting to make some characters in the story playable.
I:
It feels a little strange that you can't use the characters that are active in the story in the first place.
K:
In that sense, Leo is a character that is quite involved in the story.
4Gamer:
Who are your favorite characters, Mr. Ishiwatari and Mr. Katano?
K:
Nagoriyuki. I like his visuals and performance, and if I'm playing, I'll definitely pick him.
I:
I will be Sol this time. The finish is selfish, and I feel that the character settings and performance match.
K:
As with all characters, after throwing away the battle image so far and thinking about how to fight like Sol, that's the end result. Each character in this work has a situation that they are good at, and if you bring it into the situation, you will be able to demonstrate strength that can be said to be somewhat unreasonable.

Mr. Katano mentioned earlier that he likes Nagoriyuki, and in this sense he is a rushdown character, I feel the image fits him perfectly.
K:
It may be easy to understand the timing when a strong rush is set along with other weaknesses. However, this is something that all characters are aware of, not just Nagoriyuki. If you can prepare your favorite situation individually for each character, it will be established as a fighting game in which various types of characters fight.
Of course, it may be compatible with the character, but I don't think it is necessary to forcibly flatten them.
4Gamer:
In the popularity poll held the other day, Ramlethal was the most popular in all regions at home and abroad.
I:
To be honest, it was really surprising.
K:
Ramlethal dominated 1st place, but Giovnna and Nagoriyuki were also in the top. Since the popularity polls in the Guilty Gear Series always have major characters like Sol and Ky at the top, it is interesting that the characters who participated during Guilty Gear Xrd were selected at the top.
4Gamer:
Please tell us about the designs of the new characters. What kind of concepts did Nagoriyuki and Giovanna come from?
I:
Visuals of Nagoriyuki came from the forefront of the story. I'd say that I drew what came to mind as it was, and the pencil ran on its own. On the contrary, Giovanna had a lot of problems. Because of her profession as a Secret Service bodyguard for the President, I couldn't design her too eccentrically, and in a sense I settled on a character that didn't look like a GUILTY GEAR character.
It was a nice miscalculation for her to get into the top of the popularity poll.
4Gamer:
Regarding the design, does the visual come from the character settings? Or is there a reverse pattern?
I:
It's already case by case. Sometimes it's born with settings, sometimes it's because I wanted a character that looks like this. For example, with regard to Giovanna, the unique silhouette of wearing wide pants is characteristic, but this came to mind even before the image of Giovanna was created.
K:
Our team may always be thinking about how to make a particular silhouette or action look cool. Speaking of Nagoriyuki, there was a strong desire to express the behavior of a sword master in a cool way.
I:
The movement of the blood attacks along the sword, we call the movement a blood swing, we think we produced a cool movement with it.
K:
The current team is unique, and that kind of story comes first. I want to make my blood look cool, so I'm trying to implement this kind of motion. I don't see this kind of thing on other teams.
4Gamer:
The image of Faust has changed significantly compared to the old character.
I:
In the first place, the idea was to renew all the characters to the extent that the image was not spoiled. Faust is a character characterized by comical actions, but many of its sources are only familiar to Japanese people. There was still a part that seemed to be a drifter to expand globally (laughs). As a result of his image and backbone being made to live in an interesting way, it became the current visual.
4Gamer:
Regarding characters, it was announced that 5 people will be added in the first Season Pass. How long until this will be added? Also, do you plan to add some characters from completely new or old works?
K:
We will not be able to give a specific character name by the time it is released, but we plan to announce when it will be added. Five people have already been decided, and I would like to release them as soon as possible!
I:
I always try to add one or more completely new characters to the five.

Speaking of the Guilty Gear Series, songs and BGM are also highly evaluated. Is Mr. Ishiwatari in charge of them in this work as well?
I:
I leave the BGM production for the story mode to someone else, but I composed all the vocal songs for the fighting game part.
4Gamer:
Is there anything you are conscious of when composing?
I:
In this work, I have abandoned what I had been conscious of before. I used to think that if this song was played during a battle, it would be an emotional scene, but I didn't dare be aware of that. The emphasis was on the backbone of the characters, projecting their drama more intensely than before.
K:
This time, the theme of the character, including the lyrics, is strongly featured. At the moment, only a part of it is open to everyone, so please look forward to it.
4Gamer:
Who will your favorite song belong to?
I:
I really like Ramlethal's song, and I have decided to make this song the title of the album. She is a character who recognizes "Necessary Waste", and in a sense, it is close to the theme of GUILTY GEAR. I decided that her theme would be suitable for the title of the album.
K:
I especially like Leo's Song, but all the songs have different charms. I want you to listen carefully after the release.
4Gamer:
Tell us about the Story. In this work, it is said that the relationship between "That Man" (Asuka R. Kreutz) and Sol will be settled, but as a story, will it be the curtain once here?
I:
As far as I can tell, the story of a "man named Sol" will draw to an end. A Story Mode has been prepared from the Guilty Gear Xrd Series, and Sol has developed in the story as the Main Character. In this work, he talks about what kind of answer he will give to the world in the wake of the incident that started from the past work in simple words. I'm really curious about how you'll feel. So I'd love to hear from you.
In addition, the story mode of this work changes the expression method. Where Guilty Gear Xrd (Sign) was the format of an adventure game (visual novel), Xrd Revelator was an animation (anime style), but this time it looks like a movie (fully animated film).
K:
The other day, I released a part of the story mode, but there are opinions that it looks like a movie as intended.
I:
Originally, I was particular about how the 3D looks like an animation and how comfortable it is, but this time I'm using 3D to incorporate cinematic techniques and camera angles.
K:
With Guilty Gear Xrd, the flow was to make 3D look like a 2D animation, whether it was a battle or a story. In this work, we have evolved it into a powerful expression that makes the most of 3D.
4Gamer:
I think it was refreshing because the camera work during the battle sometimes switched to an angle that was not found in past games.
K:
We are repeating the verification on the part of whether coolness and fun as a game can be compatible.
I:
This is also the part that I have been searching for all this time.
K:
However, whenever I decided to adopt a new and cool angle, I became worried. I used to go back to the 2D method when I was at a loss.
In this work, the scene change does not change mechanically, but the camera follows the movement of the character. Knowing that the core fighting game fans would criticize me, the idea was that this was the only time to go on an adventure.
I:
Of course, after going through the beta test, I would try to correct the Overkill.
4Gamer:
It is said that the story of Sol will be completed, but people think that Guilty Gear will end.
I:
I can't give you a specific story, but I have a plan in mind for future developments. It may be after or before the story of Sol, but I'm thinking about how the story of GUILTY GEAR will unfold. This isn't about making or not making games, it's about notes in your head.
4Gamer: --That will continue.
K:
That's what Ishiwatari always says, but it's difficult to express (laughs).
I:
It's a boring story, but since GUILTY GEAR is a very important IP for us, we can't just cut it off. However, it is certain that this work will make a break for the time being.
K:
I think that the parts that were not told in this story will be complemented in other ways.
I:
Earlier, Mr. Yasuhiro Naito, the creator of "Trigun" that I was with at an American event said, "It's better to finish things than to make them." I've always thought that I had to complete it properly.
K:
Fans have told me that this work will never end.
I:
It's over properly (laughs). I've been thinking about the theme of the story from the beginning, and it's still the same. To all the fans, please look forward to it!

Please tell us if you have any plans for pre-launch or post-launch events or e-sports development.
K:
We will release new information before the release, and we plan to hold tournament events that players can enjoy and events that a wide range of players can enjoy even after the release.
I:
I would like to hold a new type of event that suits the current situation. Offline events are easy for us from arcades to get together and enjoy, but I think there are some parts that were difficult for those who weren't.
K:
For the past three years, I've been desperate to make games, so I'd like to do that as well. I would like to develop something that can be enjoyed with the players.
4Gamer:
Finally, do you have a message for the fans who are looking forward to the release of this work?
K:
This work was created with an emphasis on playability and ease of entry for those who touch it for the first time. However, I have never made it shallow as a fighting game. We have prepared the elements that we should work on and the world that we can see beyond. It will be operated for a long time, so all players can experience it.
I:
Rather than being a continuation of the GUILTY GEAR SERIES, it was created with the aim of being a completely new fighting game. I think that even new players can enjoy it, so I hope you will be interested and touch it.
And in this work, one episode of the long Guilty Gear Series will be completed. I think that we have been able to deliver something neat to those who have followed the story for a long time, so please look forward to the ending. Moving from web design to UX design can sometimes be quite straightforward, especially if you’ve done some aspects of user research in your job as a web designer. For other web designers, however, there is no cause for concern. You’ll be able to make the leap if you’ve spent some time studying UX, practicing some UX skills during your web design work, and constructing a CV which shows your understanding of best ui ux website. If you’re wondering where to learn, there are plenty of options available to you, and we’ve highlighted some of the best below.
Online Courses
Interaction Design Foundation
Don Norman, the cognitive scientist who coined the term “User Experience”, called the Interaction Design Foundation (yes, that’s us) a “goldmine of information on interaction design.” Forbes Magazine says that we offer “Ivy League level education in UX, Product Design or Human Computer Interaction.” Fortunately, that education isn’t at an Ivy League level of pricing. As a non-profit organization, we charge a low annual fee and you get access not just to all of our online learning, but also to the largest specialist design community in the world. We also offer a free library of academic texts from the design industry’s top researchers.
We have three courses (among our current offering of 32) that are specifically designed to help people enter the world of UX design. You’ll learn all areas of UX work and basic skills to practice UX work in Become a UX Designer from Scratch. In Get Your First Job as a UX (or Interaction) Designer, you’ll be able to learn what kinds of experience in UX do employers seek the most, as well as craft a winning cover letter, CV and portfolio that will help you get an interview for a UX design job. Finally, in User Research – Methods and Best Practices, learn the industry best practices of how to conduct proper user research and turn the results of your research into useful action on your product.
Coursera
You might also want to check out Coursera which is a great source of online learning. Their courses, like ours, are developed by leading experts in their field. Unlike us, however, they don’t specialize in UX and their courses aren’t always available, but when they are, they can either be accessed usually for a fee (on a per course basis).
Udemy
Udemy offers a huge selection of courses in nearly every subject area you can imagine. Udemy isn’t really a training provider, but rather a broker of training created by people from around the world. As such, there’s not much in the way of quality control applied to their courses—while some are absolutely brilliant, many are not.
Classroom Courses
Nielsen Norman Group
If you want to examine classroom courses; we recommend sticking with the “big names” of the industry who provide reliable and high-quality learning experiences. One of those big names is the Nielsen Norman Group who are also one of the best known UX consultancies; they offer a range of classroom based training at various locations around the world. They’re not inexpensive, but if you prefer not to have online training, they’re a good alternative.
General Assembly
General Assembly is another option for bootcamp-styled campus learning. They have relatively short and intense courses that repeat regularly. However, they are at a high price point and are available only at select locations.
University Courses
If you’ve got plenty of money and time, you could go ahead and get a Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree at a university. There isn’t, as of yet, a “UX-only” degree course, and the majority of related degrees tend to focus on Human Computer Interaction.

Carnegie Mellon – HCI Programs
York University – MSc in HCI Technologies
University is not a low cost option, both in the sense of your time and money you’ll be spending on it. You’ll want to weigh up the pros and cons of a university course very carefully before you decide to go this route.
If you think that all the options are confusing, you might want start by examining the return on investment from each type of learning. We’ve got an article here that examines the return on investment from each of the learning types mentioned above.
Networking
The best way to find work in any field is to use a little inside knowledge and get some help from those people already doing what you want to do. This used to be hard work, but today you can simply get online and get networking.
We’d recommend LinkedIn to anyone looking to do some professional networking; join UX groups and join the conversation. Don’t just jump in and ask for work—demonstrate your value first and help people, and look for work only after you’ve built relationships.
The Interaction Design Foundation also offers networking opportunities to both members and non-members. Our members are able to carry out highly specific networking through pre-designed forums that allow for collaboration between large groups of designers. Both members and non-members can also attend our local groups’ community events, which are completely free to attend. You can find out more about the local groups here.
You could also think about getting involved with the design community’s leadership by interacting with them on social media. We’ve provided a list of twenty great designers here that you can interact with online; you can expand that list as much as you like with a little Google work.
Mentoring and Feedback
We’ve found that you can make a career change more easily if you can find someone to mentor you and provide feedback on your efforts. You can, of course, source a mentor from your existing professional network if you know someone who is happy to take the role on. If you think that’s not going to work for you, members of the Interaction Design Foundation’s Design League have access our network of UX design experts and see a mentor from that network.

It isn’t difficult to move from web design to UX design. You can build on your existing skills through a process of education and choose the kind of education that suits you best. Thereafter, you can put that learning high quality web design into practice as a web designer. The good news is you already speak the language of design so once you have a little practice in UX, you’re going to be ready to transition your career into UX design and join the fastest growing part of the design profession in the world today.

Remote contextual Inquiry
I found this article really interesting, but it can be quite technical sometimes so it took me a few read to understand it fully. After that, I decided to note the most important parts for me, to make a clear summary to start the next project with a solid foundation.
What is it?
Remote Contextual Inquiry captures the computer screen of a person working with their version of the software on their own computer. The user in question completes typical tasks through the website and talks aloud as he/she does so. RCI is particularly useful for examining end user behavior and software customizations.It allows us to identify the end user’s task flow and the features and functions that may already be available to the user, but are not being used. Is cost-effective while yielding rich contextual information about users’ behaviors within their desktop environment. 
It opens a direct dialog between those who create the software and those who use it, allowing developers and interested parties to observe user behavior and to ask and answer questions without having to leave the office. ( Interactions with supporting software also can be captured, including email clients, file folder systems, and data storage systems).
Effectiveness
It offers great opportunities, especially when:
A project requires feedback from regional or international users.
Project cost is an issue (& it still allows greater contextual information).
Preparation time is limited.
Participants have limited time. It can take place in as little as 30 minutes.
RCI accomplishment
Recognize fields that have been hidden or disabled. Getting to know if a field had been removed from a page or if it was unnecessary for their business process. 
Identify particular words and labels that are ambiguous or misleading. To discover if end users know (or not) what a word refers to. 
Identify customized functionality and features. To discover if end users may need printing capabilities, for example, and consultants may have custom-created the functionality to do so. In addition, new fields are sometimes added to store data that is customer-specific. 
Evaluate possible layout changes. Usability professionals can learn about which tasks are primary, which are secondary, and the UI elements that get in the way. The content and amount of default data that appears in a form can be captured, as well as the personalization that make the user more efficient. 
Obtain real-life baseline metrics. General time-on-task measures can be recorded and find the number of mouse clicks required to perform tasks.
Identify non-intuitive learnability issues. Participants can describe learnability issues and can comment on the level of training that they received.
To keep in mind
You need to understand the target markets for your product so that you can obtain representative data from appropriate market segments.
This technique applies to software that is already deployed to a customer base.(The pros and cons of this technique must be weighed against a more traditional usability method).
You must always ask and receive permission to record audio or video with your participants and let them know where the info is gonna go or where will be used at.
It is helpful for researchers to understand the functionality of the product.
This technique is not a full contextual inquiry, supplemental documentation could be gathered to further understand the environment (request that the user take a few pictures of her work area, desk, and surroundings).
Steps I will be following for the next project:
Do some very deep research process to choose the business I find interesting and suitable for an on-boarding web app.
Do an investigation of the different end users of the website.
Define the target market to later collect good data from that segment of the market.
Conduct very well thought interviews with the appropriate user to gather the richest amount of data possible.
Do some brainstorming to create some interviews.
Do an interview-call where I define some tasks for the end users to perform while they talk aloud explaining every action and thought. (After asking for permission to record the whole interview)
Analyse the data gathered from interviews and start a second brainstorming to generate some ideas.
Iterate if necessary, no pain no gain!

Before the born of Internet, politicians use radios, televisions or newspapers to reach out to the citizens. Try to imagine living in that era. A Prime Minister candidate that you truly admire and you wanted to meet badly has an event happening in your town where he shares his views and goals for the country. Unfortunately, you cannot come for the event. What happens if you do not even have a radio at home? Or no money to buy television? How about newspapers? What if the writers misinterpret every words he said?
Good thing we have the Internet now. And social media! 
Of course, we still do have newspapers, radios and televisions but how many of the youths are still active using the three mediums I mentioned? Not sure about you but I personally don’t read newspapers. I only read online news like from TheBorneoPost. I also do not watch television anymore. I am serious and honest right now. Radios? I only listened to them when I am driving. But I do spend a lot of time scrolling through my Twitter timeline and discover latest news from there. The Reuter institute for the Study of Journalism conducted a study of 50,000 teens aged between 18 and 24 years old, where 28% use social media and 24% use television (Young people now use social media more than TV as a news source, 2016).
So how does politics engage with the wider audience, especially youths?
By using social media. Well duhh.
Lets use Barack Obama for an example. His social media strategy during the 2008 presidential election had revolutionized campaigning by altering the structure of political organizing. The video below is one of the most viral in the 2008 campaign.

Lets remember back to the year 2018, in Malaysia, the glorious moment for the Pakatan Harapan as they won the election. The current Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir along with the other members of Pakatan Harapan always shared about his campaign through Twitter every single day. They fight for victory. They gather more and more audience with the power of social media. To me, it was a great strategy as I can never come to their campaign event, I am always waiting to see new videos from them about the election. With the hashtag GE14, I was able to see a lot more user’s opinion about the political parties. Although I cannot vote, but looking at videos of what they have to say for the people of the country has made me more patriotic and wanted to be more knowledgeable about politics. 
Are there any problems with social media politicians?
There was also problems that cannot be avoided by politicians which is scandals. One single post can go viral within seconds and if it is a shameful one, politician must be ready to face the accusations, swear words coming out from the netizens and loss of some supporters. For example, the 1MDB corruption scandal involving the 6th Prime Minister, Najib Razak. Was it just a defamation or an ugly truth that was uncovered? Hehe..
Remember #Undi18 ?
Syed Saddiq, the Malaysia Youth and Sports Minister made the #Undi18 movement. The movement is about lowering the voting age from 21 to 18 years old. The hashtags went viral. A lot of online articles was shared about the bill. Besides a one-on-one interview, Syed Saddiq used the social media to share his thoughts about the bill. A bill related to youths, shared on a platform used by many youths? GOAL! Many other shared their opinions on the amendment of the minimum voting age. Agrees and disagree, here and there. People replying to each other, talking about the pros and cons of it. It looks to me that the young politician grabbed their attention. With that, I end this post with a conclusion that using social media to share topics about politics are very useful and can help encourage the people, especially youths to participate.

What is a reference check?
Most employers check references as part of the hiring process. Reference check in india involves contacting previous employers, supervisors, schools, and so forth to verify key employment and educational information and learn more about a candidate’s background, experiences, and skills.

Seek input from the interview team: the interview team may have already voted to hire a candidate, but there’s more information to glean from the interview process. Are there any concerns interviewers have about the candidate? Is there information you wished you knew more about, or would’ve liked to follow up on? Feedback from the interview team, in this regard, should help shape your approach to the reference check process.
Describe the job and ask specific questions pertaining to its responsibilities: Say something like, “To succeed in this role, you need to be able to do x, y, and z.” Then, allow the reference to explain how they think the candidate fits those criteria. This is a far more effective and productive strategy than asking, for example, “Do you think [candidate] can do x?”
Ask specific, but open-ended, questions: questions like, “Tell me about [candidate]” are useless, unless you want a vague answer like, “They’re great!” Instead, ask for specific examples from their reference, or for further detail on a project you’re aware of. For example, “We learned [candidate] helped produce your new website, can you tell me more about their role in that project?”

As outlined above, we recommend you tailor each reference to your organization’s needs or concerns for a given candidate. With that in mind, it’s useful for organizations to have a template for all prospective hires. Here are a list of common reference check questions to include in your template:
Can you verify the job candidate’s employment, job title, pay, and responsibilities? Why did they leave that job?
How do you know the job candidate?
What makes the candidate a good fit for this job?
If you had the opportunity, would you re-hire this job candidate? Why?
What are the candidate’s biggest strengths and weaknesses?
Did the candidate get along with their co-workers and management?
How did (name) handle conflict? How about pressure? Stress?
What advice can you give me to successfully manage the job candidate?
What else do I need to know about the job candidate that I didn’t already ask?
Who else should I speak to about the candidate that can provide different insight?
