Totally not crying over the idea of Jane Doe’s little birthday party but with Frazie and the other kids. Nope. Totally not emotional at the thought of that at all.

The best (still making shit up) explanation I can have for placing Augustus in the role of Karnak is that, unaware to himself and everyone else, he had not only the ability to predict the future, but to communicate with spirits. Powers that practically nobody, psychic or otherwise, has.

Rambling abt plot ideas below.

He only became aware of them the day he took the recently self-appointed choir (things got a little chill after all the stuff that happened, and any missions that did happen were too much for the kids, so they started a choir to pass time) to the fairgrounds.  Because hey, he and his family are already going to travel around and perform a bit before heading back home, why not bring the rest of the kids along too? They can perform and have a good time themselves. So while Augustus and Donatella were setting up for the next show/watching over the little ones, and Lili and Raz were off having their own fun (with Harold the rat as supervision of course), the older kids decided they were going to go on this totally safe looking roller coaster!

It was the second Frazie pointed it out that something suddenly shot through Augustus, and all at once he saw *everything*. He felt the things the children had felt, almost as if he’d experienced their lives himself, and then he saw it. He saw his son and his daughter board that ride with their friends, and he saw the roller coaster derail and crash and he knew what happened after that.  But he couldn’t make it in time.  They were too far away. By the time Augustus had rushed to the scene of the ride, the kids were already on board, he got there right at the exact moment that the crash happened. Luckily, he wasn’t hurt, physically. Because while his son had at least remained together, he then found his eldest daughter’s body. Without her head.

And that was the last straw for that poor man. He was sent into such a state of shock and grief that his mostly dormant powers went into overdrive. So much so that he forgot who his own daughter was because he was experiencing so much at once, and because he was in that state of shock, the body couldn’t be identified. Why not by someone else? The rest of the choir wasn’t around to say, and Augustus’ powers had become so strong in his mourning, that he unknowingly forced that side effect onto all around him. Nobody remembered her. Not even her own family.  His ability to speak to the deceased? That seemed rather irregular, but what was more irregular was when he found himself gifted an ability. An ability to bring one of these poor children back to life. This was 100% something much more...non psychic related, but it’s not like he could entirely question it. The obvious answer would be his son, Dion, but he held this competition anyways, so that all the children could voice their reasons, and mainly because he wanted to hear what the girl who could sadly only be identified as “Jane Doe” had to say. Because he may not have remembered her name or who she used to be, but he remembered one thing about her past: she’s his missing daughter. Nobody remembers her face or her name, but he knows in his very soul that this is his daughter. And he hoped that through this game of sorts, he could remind himself who she was. And maybe see if one of these other kids deserve to go back more than she does. He’d just have to wait and see, even if their lives flashed before his eyes before the accident.

Have decided that I'm going to ditch the concept of Ricky's role entirely, and allow Lizzie to fill that spot with a completely different song and vibe. She will get a guitar.

I’m going to entirely scrap the premise of Space Age Bachelor Man from this au bc look I love Ricky and that song as much as anyone, but do any of us really need this but with the interns? I don’t even know who’s going to BE Ricky in this au.

Oh I am SO GLAD somebody asked about it because I love the idea of it so much. I was actually gonna make a post about it but drafted and forgot abt it, so I'll copy the tags that I'd put there and just use it to answer this ask.

I've considered Gisu for Constance bc??? Part of me said Sam but I feel like Sam is too chaotic for Constance. She wouldn't be scared of Frazie in the way that Constance was kinda scared of Jane. I honestly don't know who to pick for Ricky? He has a very specific sort of vibe to him and I wanna pick the perfect kid for that role.

I honestly don't know WHAT compelled me to pick Augustus for the role of Karnak, but idk, the vibe of just this human circus ringleader who is the father of two of the deceased children really rocks compared to just making up some random animatronic. I've *also* considered Truman, but I feel like Augustus fits better honestly.

I’m about 37 minutes into RTC and I like to keep imagining the au in context of it, and nothing in the world is more hilarious than the mental images I receive because of this. Imagining Frazie as Jane Doe has only solidified my casting more. I feel like I’m bullying Norma by casting her as Ocean and its GREAT.

Dion kills in absolutely every outfit possible. He uses any and all pronouns possible. This bitch got a hold of a dress once the Aquatos moved in at the motherlobe and wears it as their casual outfit half the time. This 17yo child is filled with SO much gender you don't even KNOW.
