note — this is more like a teaser than a prologue but I want to give yall a feel of what the writing style/vibe is going to be like :)

There’s a saying everyone hears at least once in their life, “everything happens for a reason.”

You’ve never liked that saying.

Maybe once, a long time ago, you tried to believe in things like destiny or fate. Back when you still thought the universe had a plan, back when wishes on stars and whispered prayers into your pillow meant something. But not anymore.

Now, it just sounds like another excuse people use to make sense of pain. Like how they romanticize the rain and call it poetic, say it washes things clean, when all it really does is soak you to the bone and make the world feel heavier.

The idea that there’s someone out there made just for you… tied to you by some invisible red string? That they’ll find you and understand you and love you exactly as you are?

You used to believe in fairytales like that. Used to think if you wished hard enough, the universe would listen.

But it doesn’t.

Not anymore.

And in your quietest, darkest moments—when your thoughts spiral and you wonder if anyone even sees the real you, you always find yourself wishing. Not for a miracle. Just for someone. Someone to stay. Someone to listen. Someone who wouldn’t walk away.

What you didn’t know… is that someone was already there.

Lingering in the background.

Waiting for the moment you’d finally turn around and see him.

As I stare into your eyes, I cannot find happiness anymore. Instead I've seen pain, sufferings and broken heart. What happened hubby? You were my smiles, my happiness, my joy and my daydream. But what happened? Everytime I see you I cannot stop myself from crying and my heart from breaking. I was afraid. I was tired. I cannot help it but close my eyes and wonder "how can you be a daydream then suddenly become a nightmare?". I kept escaping from the reality that we're not meant to be together but I cannot stop it. Every second with you now feels different. Every actions you make and every words that comes out from your mouth gives me a reason to move on. My body keeps demanding me to forget. My mind keeps commanding me to let go. But my heart keeps telling me to fight and to trust love once more.
