Propaganda pod perexem!

Jan Tříska (1936–2017)

Ano, měla jsem na něj nejspíš menší crush jako Igora Hnízdo, ale byl opravdu hot i za mlada. Akorát mě štve, že nemůžu nikde najít dobrou fotku z Hvězda jménem Pelyněk, protože Jan Tříska v uniformě ehm ehm

Ještě se vejde do limitu, koneckonců jeden ze svých nejslavnějších filmů, Radúz a Mahulena, natočil v roce 1970. Osobně nejsem příliš velký fanda jeho patetičtějších rolí (i když je uměl skvěle), mám ho raději ve více komediálních polohách, kde jeho lišácký úsměv nepřišel vniveč.

Předpokládám, že Popelku (1969) už jste viděli, tak kdybyste si měly pustit jen dvě další černobílé pohádky s Třískou, ať jsou to Růže a prsten (1971) a Královská ozvěna (1972). Nebudete litovat, zasmějete se a prodloužíte si život!

(A kdyby nešel objímat sochy na Karlův most, mohl s náma bejt doteď, ale holt chtěl mít stylový odchod...)

The first half of this book left me rather underwhelmed. The second half.... let´s say I never thought I would be teary eyed over friggin woll-made animals. While the beginning felt like the most YA-est of the YA books (especially the really annoying main protagonist), the ending was simply grand. There is, actually, a lot to love about this story. The imagination, the originality, the Bolivian setting as well as drawing direct (and indirect) paralels to actual problems of Bolivia (and not just Bolivia), the woolen sloth and especially the character development. Essentially, what we are reminded by the author is that we should educate ourselves, not judge whole groups according to individuals and not blindly follow anyone, even if they are the closest people in our lives.

This is a light-hearted and sarcastic reminder of what a hell the Victorian age was when you were a child. And a woman. I also appreciate the not-at-all-subtle message that you simply cannot apply modern standards to history. I enjoyed it.

Second volume of the Kristin Lavransdatter novel. As complex as the first, though bit slower in pace. What I appreciate about this story is how historically authentic it feels in all its aspects, including the mindset and logic of the characters - something many authors today have no idea how to achieve or simply indoctrinate the people of the past with all of the "wokeness" of today.

WHY in the world isn´t this book all over booktube and other book communities? I would think this had everything a reader could want! War, friendship, adorable romance, really good representation of black soldiers at the turn of the last century, snarky Greek gods chatting in a New York hotel... True enough, it is, at times, slow and perhaps the relationships are idealistic.... but at the same time this book portrays wonderfully how devastating war is to all its participants, how it does not leave them unscathed, and at the same time that it is possible to strive forward and heal, at least to some point, when you have somebody to lean on. If you are at least a bit into romance books, do not miss this one. It is cheezy, it is touching, it is funny. It is just precious.

The imagination of Frances Hardinge astounds me. I loved The Lie Tree and I loved this book as well. It is just so ORIGINAL and well written! It is dark, terrifying even, it has some utterly heartbreaking moments and also moments which make you ache with pride. I also very much appreciate how effortlessly the authored wove in the actual facts on how people perceived body, health and soul back in the 17th century. Makepeace has no bigger agenda than to stay alive and stay free, and she is one of the most inspiring book heroines I have met recently!

There is nothing wrong with the book and I can see its appeal, personally, however, it was just not for me.

I think it speaks a lot about how wonderful Becky Chambers is as a writer when I give 4 stars to a book without a story. Everything about her universe is presented in such a realistic way you can only yearn for such a future for mankind and you can only hope she is right about aliens. This book also proved to be extremely soothing in our current state of quarantine and fear. I have never cared for sci-fi until Becky Chambers.

If you have ever loved one of the original Austen works, you definitely need to read this book.

First of all, the MinaLima edition is beautiful.... but somehow the thoughts and ideas disappeared in the second half. Perhaps it reflects the story itself, of which the beginning is charming and beautiful... and the second half somehow becomes boring and actually takes away both the mystery and the lessons (pride = bad) we have learned. The whole equal rank and messed up families and fairy association stuff was completely unneccessary.

Herec Jan Tříska získal Kristiána za přínos světové kinematografii

Jan Tříska filmový a divadelní herec přijel na Febiofest ze Spojených států, aby v Obecním domě převzal cenu Kristiána za mimořádný přínos světové kinematografii. Herec má na svém kontě nespočet filmových rolí a dá se s nadsázkou říct, že hrál snad všechny možné povahové rysy. Do povědomí českých diváků se zapsal především jako nekompromisní pedagog Igor Hnízdo ve filmu Obecná škola režiséra Jana Svěráka, který byl nominován na Oscara za nejlepší cizojazyčný film, stejně jako nominovaným filmem Želary, kde hrál starého Gorčíka.

O dva dny později na Febiofestu osobně uvedl film Radúz a Mahulena z roku 1970, ve kterém si zahrál prince Radúze po boku herečky Magdy Vašáryové.  Na otázku jak vzpomíná na natáčení filmu odpověděl stručně : Byla nám strašná zima film se natáčel ve Vysokých Tatrách  a byli jsme polonahý. Ta spolupráce s Magdou Vašáryovou a režisérem Petrem Vajglem a celým týmem byla výborná,  ale jestli se domníváte, že herci na natáčení jen vzpomínají, vzpomínají a vzpomínají. Tak já jsem ten, který nevzpomíná, nevzpomíná a nevzpomíná.

Vedle filmové kariéry má také bohatou i tu divadelní, kdy mezi ty nejznámější patří Krále Lear na Letních shakespearovských slavnostech, kterého hrál v několika sezonách.  Hrál ale také například v Divadle na Jizerce, kde by se měl znovu objevit : Ředitel divadla Jan Hrušínský, hledá hru, které by byla v co nejmenším obsazení a také termíny, kdy by se vše dalo dohromady. Řekl o chystané spolupráci.

Loni tu začal natáčet film Po strništi bos s režisérem Janem Svěrákem : Ve filmu od kterého se hodně očekává, mám nepatrnou roli. Je to film o malém chlapečkovi a jeho rodině, mamince, tatínkovi, strejdovi….a já tam hraji dědečka. Jsem v podstatě ta poslední součást té rodiny, která tam je, ale taky by tam být nemusela, kdyby to scénárista napsal jinak. Kdyby tam dědeček nebyl, tak by se taky nic nestalo, ale to je rozhodnutí tvůrců. Já jsem rád, že v tom filmu jsem a jsou dokonce zvěsti, že  jsem v té roli docela snad i dobrý. Ten film jsem ještě neviděl, ale všichni říkají, že ta má role je negativní. Říkal jsem, že je to jen komplikovaném dědek, ale všichni říkají, že je to spíš zarputilej dědek.

V Americe, kde žije od roku 1977 natočil 44 filmů, z toho dva s kamarádem a režisérem Milošem Formanem – Ragtime a Lid versus Larry Flint. Začátky neměl snadné, hlavně co se týče angličtiny. Když přijel do Ameriky myslel si, že jazyk ovládá, ale na místě se přesvědčil o opaku a když ale dostal nabídku v New Yorku na divadelní hru, začal se ji intenzivněji učit.

K herectví se dostal skrz poezii, se kterou ho seznámil jeho tatínek, vědec, který měl poezii rád. Sotva se naučil číst, tak začal číst poezii, kterou se učil nazpaměť, aby si jí více osvojil. Od poezie se dostal k divadlu a poté k filmu a všechny tři odvětví má moc rád.

I když o herectví s nadsázkou říká : Mi herci si moc nevybíráme. Nemůžu si dupnout, co zítra budu dělat, mě bud někdo něco nabídne a já to přijmu a nebo mi taky nikdo nemusí nabídnout nic, tak to bohužel je, to je můj život, já jsem potulný komediant, tak v Americe hraje pořád. Momentálně jednám ohledně inscenace v Los Angeles. Více, ale prozrazovat nebudu, jsem pověrčivý, řekl.

Nově ho také čeká spolupráce s režisérem Jiřím Mádlem na novém filmu, který se bude jmenovat Na střeše. Zatím je vše ve fázi příprav a má za sebou jen zkoušku v Los Angeles, kam za ním v Dubnu režisér poletí aby si spolu pročetli poslední verzi scénáře. Když vše bude v pořádku, tak na přelomu léta a podzimu začnou film točit.

Herec Jan Tříska na Febiofestu získal cenu Kristián a také v kině uvedl film Radúz a Mahulena

na tiskové konferenci mluvil o svém hereckém a divadelním životě

a závěrem se ochotně podepsal

Ve věku 79 let zemřel režisér hudebních filmů Petr Weigl. Radiožurnálu to potvrdil mluvčí Národního divadla Tomáš Staněk. Mezi nejznámější Weiglovy snímky patří hudební film Radúz a Mahulena s Magdou Vašáryovou a Janem Třískou nebo filmové zpracování opery Rusalka.
