So this is crazy. I called hostgator today because a client had an SSL that showed as issued but was not showing up in the browser. So I explained it to the rep and she put me on hold. She comes back and says the certificate is issued and that she took it upon herself to add the plugin reallysimplessl to my install. How did she install a plugin without the WP password? Why would hostgator even think it’s a good idea to install plugins without the persons permission?

I have been a developer for year and have never encountered a host adding plugins on their own. Has anyone else?
