Hello, I am back with the much overdue reviews. I even have the new Remnant BLCD already lmao. I’ve been terribly busy with work and work that I haven’t been listening to BLCDs for a while now. Steph, mi angel, pls know that I am still alive and still think of you every day. 😙 Anyway, before we get started with the 2021 BLCDs, it would only be fair if I post the last BLCD on my 2020 log I wrote about many months ago but forgot to post: Remnant.

Bun, if you’re reading this, fuck you. I love Juda.

Finally, the domestication I was waiting for has come! My boy Daath wasn’t ready for any of this! Juda really went from a wolf to a goddamned golden retriever. I like how peace has finally found itself in the BLCD Siegfried family now bc it means it’s almost time for the bebes to arrive! Manga says otherwise tho. I won’t talk about the plot much here since I don’t wanna spoil too much, but I just wanna say how funny Daath brushing off Bella’s feelings was. He was like, “Okay, cool. Let me show you just how much I flirt with my husbando rn.” 💀

Moving onto the technicalities, Frontier Works really be making me jobless bc there’s literally nothing much to write about. I mean, when were the Remnant BLCDs ever lacking? I might even go as far to say that Remnant is one of FW’s best adaptations tho tbh there’s not a lot to choose from lmao. Anyway, Remnant is almost always perfect that it’s becoming boring the review AHAHAHA. THOUGH, there was this part where Daath and Juda confronts/exposes the kidnapper, and he really said “DAH!”. Jesus Christ that sent me to the floor laughing.

I didn’t put his name up on the cast list so this performance would get lost to the wind. It’s okay, bb. You have much to grow. 💀

To be honest, I do regret putting Remnant last because I already knew how it would turn out. I didn’t want to put Restart last because of my issues with Shingaki and my fear of the Secret XXX cast not returning, but if I just looked at the castlist, then I wouldn’t have gone through this trouble lmao. I WANT TO END MY LOGS WITH A BANG; YOU KNOW? THAT’S WHY IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO POST THIS. This feels like that that log where I listened to Yoidore last. But anyway, at least we ended this log on a good note.

There was never a doubt in my mind that this wouldn’t turn out how I thought it would. Yo, I gotta hand it to Frontier Works because they always hit the mark every time. Every Remnant adaptation is, dare I say it, PERFECT. From the execution, voice acting, to loyalty, every thing is top notch. If only volume 3 didn’t end in such a cliff-hanger. I would’ve thought that my decision to put this near the end of my log was the best idea. On the bright side, this just means that volume 4 of the adaptation will be the climax!!!

Moving on to the voice work,

Yo.

I actually listened to the Genteiban on April and was supposed to release my review of it along with my review of 2, but I realized that I forgot about the Daria mini drama cd, so I postponed it until I bought it in October. Basically, there’s a huge gap between these reviews that I feared that I might not be able to find the hype I had for Satou Takuya and Kawahara Yoshihisa once I listened to 3. Boy, was I wrong. 

I don’t know. Satou Takuya and Kawahara Yoshihisa are just...they send me squealing and shaking in my bed every time! It’s like Juda and Daath were created by Hasumi Hana with the thought that they sounded like Kawahara Yoshihisa and Daath in mind. Just absolute perfection! 

Satou Takuya’s the same ‘ol seductive, tormented, but strong-ass Daath, while OH MY GOD I CAN’T GET OVER HOW SWEET KAWAHARA YOSHIHISA'S JUDA BECAME IN TRACK 3!!! MY KOKORO HAS BEEN REVIVED!!! I was bracing for this moment ever since I read the chapter, and I expected there to be a little reservation in Kawahara Yoshihisa’s voice when he eventually acts the scene out, BUT OMG HE WAS SO SWEET AND CARING WITHOUT ABANDON!!! 😭😭😭 I loved just how he quickly went from bickering with Will and screaming at Baron to being domestic and loving towards Daath right after they dealt with Luard and Kai’s situation. 😭😭😭 Even I was on my knees like Daath. 😂 Thanks Mama Jill, Papa Diego, Will, and Julio! 👍

Speaking of the other casts, man they spare no effort! Everyone literally gave their best here! I probably can’t name them all here, but know that even those who only had a few lines made sure that they made their existence felt. Damn, Frontier Works is a goddamn g, alright. 👏👏👏 I’m also super happy with Julio’s casting. Makoto Koneko’s new in both the anime and bl industry, and I actually have high hopes for him. His Julio was a little deeper than Murase Ayumu’s normal uke range, so he could definitely go for roles that Murase Ayumu does, if he decides to pursue an extensive career in BL. His voice also matches Takahashi Shinya’s nicely, so if there are any chances of them banging in the story, they could probably pull it off seamlessly. 😂 Props to Toneria’s secretary?, too! He’s got a good voice that actually reminds me of Furukawa Makoto who’s a few pitches higher.

As with the other CDs, there wasn’t any major ad libs, cuts, and rearrangements in the dialogue, so the CD was pretty loyal to the manga. Ooh! And I think I finally know when Remnant takes place. I initially thought that it takes place in the early 1800s with the carriages and all, but somewhere in the mini dramas or the main story-line itself, Juda tells Daath to go and ride a car. He really says “kuruma” and carriage would be “basha”, so it’s safe to say that automobiles have already been invented then. They also went to a carnival/fair in one of the mini dramas, so Remnant probably takes place around the late 1800′s to the early 19th century! I don’t know how this info will be of use to me, but I don’t care. 😂

Anyway, so we’ve got perfect plot execution, voice work, and loyalty to the plot. This is definitely one of the best BLCD adaptations of 2019, so I encourage y’all to listen to it especially if you’re a fan of the series. This is such a breath of fresh air from Hasumi Hana’s Ayashi no Hakoniwa ni Ukabu Tsuki. 🙊 I can’t wait for the 4th volume of both the manga and BLCD!

But can i request something that crossed my mind when i was reading Remnant: Kemonohito Omegaverse, and i think How the brothers would react to an MC who suddenly gave a fangirl scream from some hot scene and they asked what was that!?, and even if they tried hard to hide their manga, they would succeed grab it, watch the scene and realize their taste for furry omegaverse mangas.

*The silver haired demon looked at what you were reading, tilting his head in confusion

*"What is this all about?"

*You snatched the book away from him, "Don't worry about it! And dont just take my stuff!"

*"Jeez Jeez ok!" He sat back down in his seat. "Just was askin' a question 's all."

*You shook your head, signing as you sat back down to read

*He heard your fangirl scream and knew exactly what was up

*"Ooooh! What happened? Did your otp finally kiss? Tell me everything!"

*You were explaining what was going on, but then realized what you were saying and quickly went quiet.

*"Hey y/n? You stopped explaining half way through! Tell me the rest," He seemed genuinely interested in the plot now

*and then he reached over and took the manga right out of your hands!

*"Ohhhh I've seen these before," He gave a chuckle (HIS LAUGH IN GAME MAKES MY HEART GO THUMP THUMP LEMME TELL YOU THAT LIL LAUGH OF HIS- MMMMM SERATONIN BOOST) "This looks good, when you're done reading it, could I borrow it?"

*You looked up, confused, "You dont think its weird? It's a furry omegaverse manga-"

*"Ok well give it back," You said, dying on the inside of embarassment.

*The avatar of lust handed it back to you, chuckling at your embarassment. "You're cute when youre flustered, Y/N~" He made a few other flirty comments before eventually letting you read in peace. He ofc would never read manga,but he also didnt really care what it was about.

"Oh, thats cool," He gave you a soft smile (HIS SMILE IN GAME MAKES ME FEEL SO HAPPY- LIKE MMM ANOTHER SERATONIN BOOST!)

You ended up reading next to him while he worked out, every time you got happy, seeing your smile made him extra happy!

You happened to be reading in the attic with him while he was napping in demon form, so when you screamed..

"Y/NNNNN," He drug your name out sleepily. "Shhh,"

"Sorry Belphie," You whispered, a little embarassed at your fangirl scream.

"What even are you screaming about?" He used his fluffy tail to gently bonk your head, distracting you enough so he could steal your manga.

"Hey- Belphie give it back!" You whined, trying to get past him and get it back.

"Hmmm looks boring," He gave it back, "then again, I dont like to read. I always fall asleep half way through the chapters."

"Well i enjoy reading," You huffed, pouting at the demon next to you.

"Alright, but don't scream again, it woke me up. If it had been anyone but you I woulf be cranky."

"You get cranky even when its me," You mumbled before settling back down to finish reading.

So...

Few days ago i stumbled on mercedes benz s class ads x and couldn't help but to think of omegaverse!au and Pendulum/Remnant; Kemonohito series but this is more like in modern au, just look at this (gif credit me)

I'm getting excited over the fact that they used beast people as a main character on this ads lol, i guess if pendulum or remnant kemonohito getting their live adaptation it won't look so bad at all *cough* not like sonic or cats *cough* lol 😅
