U.S. Accuses Cuba of Attempted Interference in U.S. Elections in 2022
On December 18, 2023, the U.S. intelligence community released a redacted report that claimed the Cuban government conducted influence operations in the United States “aimed at denigrating specific U.S. candidates in Florida” during the 2022 midterm elections and that “Cuban officials worked to build relationships with members of the American media who held critical views of Havana’s critics in…

Among those who would weaken Canada are individuals and organizations ideologically inclined to, or financially associated with, Trump and his band of “MAGA” Republicans.
Members of the Trump-backed “Freedom Convoy,” for example, have been quick to demonstrate they are not on Team Canada.
That’s also true, it seems, for Canada’s largest newspaper chain, the U.S.-owned Postmedia. Following the federal government’s announcement of retaliatory tariffs, the National Post proceeded to call Prime Minister Justin Trudeau “a wuss” and urged Canada to return to “stroking” Trump’s ego while “giving him something,” further advising the government to not, in any circumstances, intervene to support Canadians financially devastated by the impacts of the tariffs, because “people will adapt.”
Additionally, prominent Postmedia columnists mocked Canadians’ fear over Trump’s annexation threats, lecturing that we should “get a grip.”
Unsurprisingly, Canada’s U.S. dark-money-supported think tanks are leveraging this moment to push their MAGA-style policies. The Fraser Institute has been encouraging an unprecedented economic union with the United States. The Montreal Economic Institute is pushing its radical anti-tax, pro-deregulation agenda. SecondStreet.org is promoting the possibility of a “$21-billion private insurance market” to disrupt medicare. For its part, the Frontier Centre for Public Policy seems to be just accepting U.S. narratives.

Resistance HQ Bulletin 9, 11/20/24
From Meidas Touch
Ron Filipkowski
… Trump is reportedly set to appoint Ross Vought as his Budget Director. So his Border Czar wrote the section on Project 2025 on the border, his FCC nominee wrote the section on Project 2025 on the FCC, and his Budget Director wrote the section on Project 2025 about the budget. But Trump said in the campaign he has no connection to Project 2025 and doesn’t know any of the people involved.
… Surprising criticism from Rand Paul on Trump’s announced plan to declare a national emergency in order to use the military to round up and deport migrants. “I think it’s a terrible image. That’s not what we use our military for. We never have. I will not support an emergency to put the Army into our cities.”
… The updated popular vote count according to Cook Political is now Trump - 49.89%, Harris - 48.24%. Trump’s lead continues to shrink.
… JD Vance said today that the Senate just needs to confirm every Trump nominee with no questions asked since Trump “just won a major electoral victory.”
… Thom Tillis said that Republicans citing recess appointments of previous presidents like Obama is a much different situation than what Trump wants to do because none of those were Cabinet-level positions: “Not for a Cabinet-level position. That should be absolutely off the table. And quite honestly, any serious candidate .. I would have to really wonder if they would want it or be willing to accept that under a recess appointment.”
… Tommy Tuberville suggested to Steve Bannon though that they are cooking up some kind of plan to ram Trump appointments through after the new Senate is sworn in early Jan and before Trump takes office. Unclear how this would happen if a few Republican Senators refuse to vote to adjourn, but we know that Trump and his henchmen are constantly searching for ways to justify ignoring the Constitution and all established norms.
… Trump raged on Truth Social that his amazing nominees are being criticized: “This is what the Radical Left Lunatics do to people. They dirty them up, they destroy them, and then they spit them out.”
(EVERY RETHUGLIKKKON ACCUSATION IS A CONFESSION)
… ABC has obtained Venmo and PayPal records showing payments of $10,000 from Matt Gaetz to two women he allegedly paid for sex. One was a minor at the time. Maybe he was just donating to their tuition out of the kindness of his heart.
… Tim Burchett responded to the House Ethics report on Gaetz getting hacked: “Can someone hack the Epstein files for American to see?” Careful what you wish for.
… Lindsey Graham met with Gaetz today in his office. Lindsey told CNN: “I fear the process surrounding the Gaetz nomination is turning into an angry mob, and unverified allegations are being treated as if they are true. I urge my Senate colleagues not to join the lynch mob.”
… Republican Rep. Carlos Gimenez was asked if Gaetz would make a good AG: “It doesn't matter what I think, the president-elect of the United States thinks that he'll make a good AG. I’m not a fan of Matt Gaetz. I wasn’t a fan of his when he was here. I think he was a disruptive force when he was in the House. But Trump has faith in him.” Hell of a ringing endorsement.
… Democratic Rep. Sean Casten introduced a privileged resolution to release the Ethics Report on Gaetz to force Republican House members to vote on whether to keep it concealed, per Punchbowl news. They only need a few Republican votes.
… Meanwhile, the Senate made a formal request for the House Ethics report on Gaetz to be turned over to them so they can do their job properly.
… But the Ethics Committee voted along party lines with Republicans voting to keep the Gaetz report secret and Democrats voting to release it. After Republican Chair Michael Guest told the press that the full committee “agreed” not to release the report, Dem Rep Susan Wild flamed him, saying that was a complete lie, they all agreed not to discuss the vote, but since Guest lied about what happened she felt compelled to disclose it was a straight party-line vote.
… But GOP Rep. Derrick Van Orden told CNN after that he would vote to release the Gaetz report if it was brought to the floor for a vote. So that’s one.
… Trump rolled out a new product line today - Trump Guitars. He is selling an electric Trump Guitar on is website for $1,500 and an acoustic Trump Guitar for $1,250. They have an American flag with Trump’s face on them. He is also offering signed guitars for $10,000 and promises that they will arrive before Christmas if you order now.
The website for the Trump guitars does NOT say where they are made, so you know what that means.
… Nikki Haley trashed Tulsi Gabbard today: “She said that Trump turned the US into Saudi Arabia’s prostitute. This is going to be the future head of our National Intelligence? She tried to cut our annual defense budget. Tulsi Gabbard defended Iran. She went to Syria for a photo op with Assad while he was massacring his own people. She said he was skeptical he was behind it. This is disgusting. Everything she said about it was Russian talking points. Every bit of it. That was Russian propaganda.”
… More from Haley: “After Russian invaded Ukraine, she blamed NATO. The Russians and the Chinese played her talking points on Russian and Chinese TV. She’s defended Russia, Syria, Iran and China. DNI is not a place for a Russian-Chinese-Iranian-Syrian sympathizer.”
… Attorneys for former GA elections workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss filed a motion today in court seeking to have Rudy Giulianiheld in contempt of court for continuing to repeat the same false statements about them in recent media interviews that he was found liable for.
… Comcast announced it will create a separate spinoff media company that will package MSNBC, Bravo, CNBC, SyFy, and USA Network together under the new umbrella. Most industry analysts are saying they are doing this with the intent to sell them.
… WaPo reported losing $77 million this year, and that was before 250,000 people canceled their subscriptions after Jeff Bezos pulled the plug on the planned Harris endorsement.
… Alex Jones has filed lawsuit against the Sandy Hook families and The Onion, alleging that the sale and acquisition in the bankruptcy proceeding violated acceptable rules and practices for blind bidding.
The Onion’s offer was reportedly $7 million.

U.S. users email your representatives this, and make sure to include your zip code:
I am your constituent. I am strongly in favor of defunding Israel. I want my opinion logged on every single one of these pieces of legislation. It is an atrocity that the USA is sending our taxpayer dollars, weaponry, and other support to Israel in order to aid in the genocide of the Palestinian people. It does not reflect the will of your constituents, and I demand that you correct this by voting for/against the following bills, resolutions, and legislation.
To be frank, I will be basing my vote for you in upcoming elections on this issue. I will be watching closely to see how you vote on issues regarding funding to Israel. I will not vote for you in the next election if you vote to send any money, support, or weaponry to Israel. I will be voting for you if you vote to block money, support, and weaponry to Israel.
This is the current legislation I am for, and the current legislation I am against. I would like your office to record my opinion for each bill, and I would like you to take this into consideration when you vote.
I am FOR the following, and expect you to vote for this and co-sponsor, either now or when matching legislation reaches your office.
H.Res. 786: by Rep. Cori Bush
H.Res. 388 by Rep. Rashida Tlaib
H.R. 3103 by Rep. Betty McCollum
I am against Joe Biden’s proposal to spend billions of dollars on Israel via a package for Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan, and the US border. Biden is asking for $100 BILLION for this package and it is only 1 YEAR'S worth of funding. This is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable, and I am against you voting for ANY bill that spends even $1 on Israel. I do not care what else is in the bill. If it gives money to Israel, I am against it.
I am AGAINST the following, and expect you to vote against this and not co-sponsor, either now or when matching legislation reaches your office.

I am against any legislation that allows troops to deploy to the Middle East in support roles for Israel, as proposed by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.
I am against Netanyahu’s ground invasion of Gaza, which will inevitably lead to mass killings of Palestinian civilians and escalate violence. If there are any future bills supporting this, you need to vote against them and not co-sponsor.
The U.S. Constitution and the War Powers Act stipulate that only Congress can authorize the president to use military force in a foreign war, except in cases of self-defense. Previous administrations from both parties have ignored this, with unauthorized strikes in places like Syria and Libya. I want you to stand against ANY use of military force that supports Israel or hurts Palestine.
And of course, I am against the usual funding of $3.8 billion PER YEAR to Israel. This 10-year agreement began in 2016. I do not want a renewal in 2026, and in the next election, I will vote for representatives who WILL NOT VOTE TO FUND ISRAEL. I will be keeping track of how you vote now, and I will not vote for you if you decide to fund Israel in any way.
I am a single-issue voter for this. I want you to defund Israel. I do not want a single dollar spent on supporting Israel. I will be paying attention to how you vote in the upcoming weeks and months, and if you vote to fund or provide weapons, troops, or intelligence to Israel, I will NOT vote for you in the next election.
We are paying attention to the budget. We know when you're giving aid to a country committing genocide instead of helping your constituents in the USA. Both myself and tens of thousands of other constituents have spent years saying that we don’t want our hard-earned taxpayer dollars going to Israel. The lack of willingness to fund anything for American citizens, but the quickness with which you take action for Israel is telling. It is unacceptable.
As an elected official, you have the opportunity to listen to the public and stand against genocide. Israel is currently committing war crimes against Palestine. You can stop this by defunding Israel. THOUSANDS of Palestinian people have been killed, 1/3 of them children, in just a couple of days. One child every 15 minutes is being killed. YOU can prevent this by refusing to send additional weapons and funding to Israel.
We are currently spending BILLIONS of dollars EVERY YEAR on Israel. I do not want my money going towards the ethnic cleansing and genocide of Palestinians. Not a dollar more.

A left-wing journalism professor who teaches at a top Chicago-area university has for months justified Hamas terrorists' war on Israel and even joined anti-Israel student agitators on campus, Fox News Digital learned after reviewing his social media and blog posts.
Steven Thrasher is an associate professor of journalism at Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism and has been "regularly published in the New York Times, BuzzFeed News, Esquire, the Nation, the Atlantic, the Guardian, and the Daily Beast," according to his school biography.
Thrasher's activism could be raised on Thursday when Northwestern's president, as well as leaders from UCLA and Rutgers, appears before the House Committee on Education and the Workforce for a hearing titled "Calling for Accountability: Stopping Antisemitic College Chaos."
"Staff like Professor Steven Thrasher continue to peddle hateful antisemitic canards," Florida Republican Rep. Carlos Gimenez told Fox News Digital. "This professor has employed hateful rhetoric, invoked antisemitic tropes, and fostered a hostile environment that endangers Jewish students on campus."
Thrasher's bio states that he is "the inaugural Daniel H. Renberg Chair of social justice in reporting (with an emphasis on issues relevant to the LGBTQ community) and an assistant professor of journalism." His areas of expertise include methods of how to study the intersection of "racism, homophobia, policing, medicine, incarceration, culture, and health."
A review of Thrasher’s social media accounts found that stretching back to October of last year, when Hamas launched an attack against Israel, Thrasher espoused anti-Israel rhetoric appearing to defend Hamas.
"White supremacy and settler colonialism can NOT kill, maim and steal for decades (or even centuries) via genocidal violence and then expect patience and peace — ESPECIALLY when peaceful protest is met with economic, spiritual and literal death," he posted on X on Oct. 9 of last year. Fox News Digital reviewed the posts earlier this week, before Thrasher protected his X account.
"For those asking 'But why don’t Palestinians protest peacefully; may I remind you that for me—who is not even Palestinian!!!—merely calling for *peaceful boycott* cost me the German translation of my book, made my PhD advisor shun me forever & almost cost me my entire career," he wrote in another post that same day.
Later that month, Thrasher compared Israel to the Nazis, claiming the country was carrying out "a genocide of the disabled" in Gaza.
"This is a genocide of the disabled people, too, who will suffocate on smoke. Who ARE suffocating to death right now. You know who else suffocated the disabled? The Nazis," he posted on X on Oct. 29.
Thrasher is also apparently no fan of President Biden, according to his posts, claiming that "Biden won’t stop" Israel’s retaliations against Gaza, and that "the US is committing genocide."
In a November blog post titled, "Tearing down the Wall," Thrasher compared Gaza to a Nazi concentration camp, arguing, "we can feel compassion towards a desperate people stuck inside a Nazi concentration camp." He also argued that if Jews were able to break free from concentration camps, they would have killed "anyone they found partying," thus seemingly justifying Hamas' attack on the Nova Music Festival on Oct. 7, when hundreds of people were killed and dozens of others taken hostage.
"If the Jews being shot and shoveled into ovens could just break through that wall, of course, they would kill anyone they found partying right on the other side of it! And, of course, they would take women and children hostage and drag them back into their hell inside if doing so would give them leverage to free their fellow Jews from torture and death!" he wrote.
Last month, Thrasher also spoke before protesters at an anti-Israel encampment, encouraging agitators to continue their protests, according to The Daily Northwestern.
"To the Medill students and journalists within earshot, I say to you: Our work is not about objectivity," he said. "Our work is about you putting your brilliant minds to work and opening your compassionate hearts."
Northwestern, similar to colleges across the nation, has been the site of anti-Israel protests. University President Michael Schill will testify before the House Committee on Education and the Workforce over Northwestern’s "shocking concessions to the unlawful antisemitic encampments." Schill’s hearing on Thursday is anticipated to also include questions about Thrasher.
"Whether it’s Claudine Gay at Harvard or Liz Magill at UPenn, college presidents at elite universities have failed to address the dangerous and violent proliferation of antisemitism on campus," Gimenez told Fox News Digital.
"As a member of Congress, I look forward to getting direct answers about President Schill’s inaction this Thursday. His failure to act emboldens hateful behavior and compromises student safety," he continued.
Northwestern was the first university in the nation to publicly announce that it struck a deal with protesters who established an encampment on campus demanding the school cut financial ties with Israel. The concessions included agreeing to let students review school investments; funding two visiting Palestinian faculty members for two years on campus; full scholarships for five Palestinian undergraduate students; and the immediate construction of a community housing building for Muslim, Middle Eastern and North African students.
Protesters in exchange largely dismantled the tent encampment.
The Jewish community in the Chicago area slammed Schill and Northwestern for the agreement, with the Jewish United Fund writing in a letter that Schill embraced "those who flagrantly disrupted Northwestern academics and flouted those policies."
"The overwhelming majority of your Jewish students, faculty, staff, and alumni feel betrayed. They trusted an institution you lead and considered it home. You have violated that trust," the letter said, according to Jewish Insider. "You certainly heard and acted generously towards those with loud, at times hateful voices. The lack of any reassuring message to our community has also been heard loud and clear."
Student agitators infiltrated college campuses nationwide last month into May, including radicals on Columbia University’s campus taking over the campus’ Hamilton Hall building, while schools such as UCLA, Harvard and Yale worked to clear student encampments, which led to hundreds of arrests nationwide.
The protests follow terrorist organization Hamas launching a war in Israel on Oct. 7, which initially fanned the flames of antisemitism on campuses in the form of protests, menacing graffiti and students reporting that they felt as if it was "open season for Jews on our campuses."
The protests heightened this spring to the point where Jewish students were warned to leave campus for their own safety, and schools such as USC, Emory and Columbia canceled their main graduation ceremonies.
Gimenez continued in his comments to Fox Digital that "antisemitism has NO PLACE ANYWHERE  — especially not on college campuses receiving federal funding."
"It’s why I’m working to ensure colleges like Northwestern, that fail to protect students from hateful pro-Hamas activities, have their federal funding eligibility immediately reviewed," he said.
"I stand resolutely with our Jewish-American community and students combating antisemitism on campuses nationwide. I am committed to fighting antisemitism and reinforcing America’s unbreakable bond with our strongest ally: the democratic, Jewish State of Israel."
Neither Northwestern nor Thrasher immediately responded to Fox News Digital’s requests for comment.

”Disgusted by @TonyHinchcliffe’s racist comment calling Puerto Rico a 'floating island of garbage,'” tweeted Florida Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar. “This rhetoric does not reflect GOP values.” Except that of course it does. It was literally featured in Trump’s big rally. And Trump sure hasn’t disavowed it (and no, the campaign doesn’t count; he has to apologize for it).
Other Republicans followed suit, like Puerto Rico’s Republican Party chairman, Florida Rep. Carlos Gimenez, and New York Rep. Anthony D’Esposito. More will likely join the list in the next 24 hours.
CNN’s entire top half of its homepage on Sunday night: “Trump loyalists spew racist, vulgar attacks at NYC rally.” You know how hard it is for media outlets to say the word “racist.” That’s how racist it was.
The Washington Post: “Trump rally speakers invoke racist tropes in denouncing Harris; Vance defends Trump’s ‘enemies within’ comments.” Glad Jeff Bezos decided to cave to the racists!
The New York Times: “Racist Remarks and Insults Mark Trump’s Madison Square Garden Rally.” OMG, even the Times used the word “racist” to describe racism! Progress!
“This is the October surprise: everyone, including the media, finally realizing what the MAGA movement truly is and being unafraid to state it. The “comedian” himself sure as heck sees nothing wrong with his racism and bigotry. And Gimenez, despite criticizing Hinchcliffe, sure went out of his way to praise Trump, the guy whose operation hired Hinchcliffe for the act. This is who they are.”
Trump’s racist Nazi rally at Madison Square Garden backfires spectacularly
It sure would be great if the vulgarity and racism finally mattered, at all.

Trump and Florida Republicans Planning Increased Sanctions on Cuba To Topple Communist Regime
“In a gambit to try to precipitate regime change in Cuba, the Trump administration is planning to ramp up sanctions on the island’s military as part of a maximum-pressure campaign that may also further restrict travel, remittances and exports. Trump administration officials and Cuban-American members of Congress believe the communist regime in Havana is at its weakest moment in decades and have…

English: José Daniel Ferrer, Cuban opposition leader and human rights defender, faces a dire situation after reportedly being brutally beaten in prison—a reflection of the systematic repression under Cuba's totalitarian communist regime. Detained in Mar Verde Prison, Ferrer was transferred to the hospital at Boniato Prison due to severe injuries, including extreme weight loss and facial wounds. Despite international demands, the regime has denied his family visitation rights for over 19 months while attempting to downplay the allegations through official propaganda.
Ferrer’s case exemplifies the Cuban government’s use of political repression and human rights violations to maintain control. Institutions like the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and the U.S. government have strongly condemned these abuses, calling for his release alongside other political prisoners. Ferrer, a victim of previous detentions, including during Cuba’s Black Spring of 2003, represents the silenced voices striving for democratic change in a country gripped by authoritarianism.
This incident highlights how the communist regime employs violence and intimidation to suppress dissent, underscoring the urgent need for international pressure to end these violations of fundamental rights.

Weather Wars: Can We Really Control the Storms?
The debate rages on about whether humans can actually control the weather. While Florida Rep. Carlos Gimenez calls such claims "outlandish," some insist on the possibility, pointing to scientific practices like cloud seeding. With natural disasters like hurricanes causing fear and devastation, how should we approach the information swirling online? Are patents and theories enough to prove human influence over weather, or is it all just conspiracy talk? Share your thoughts—can we truly manipulate the elements, or is all this just a storm of misinformation?

House Republicans say they aren't sweating Kamala as possible Biden replacement
Tumblr media
youtube
House Republicans are already sharpening their attacks against Vice President Kamala Harris as public discussions swell over whether she will replace President Biden at the top of Democrats' 2024 ticket.
GOP lawmakers — in both safe red seats and swing districts being targeted by the left — dismissed Harris as a political threat to their chances in November, arguing she's still tied to the same progressive Biden policies they believe are unpopular with voters.
Rep. Nick Langworthy, R-N.Y., who served as longtime chair of the New York Republican Party before coming to Congress, told Fox News Digital, "Kamala Harris is just as responsible for this administration's failures, but she's more incompetent."
"She will make no difference to the outcome. President Trump will be our 47th," he said.
Republicans like Rep. Nick Langworthy, R-N.Y., and House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minn., are brushing off Vice President Kamala Harris as a possible threat if she takes over for President Biden. (Getty Images)
A swing-seat Republican who asked not to be named told Fox News Digital they were skeptical Harris would do better on the debate stage than Biden.
"I would say she's the weakest part of the ticket right now, as bad as Biden is," that GOP lawmaker said.
"Whether it's Joe Biden or [Harris] at the top of the ticket, they'll have to defend their abysmal, tax-and-spend record," said Rep. Carlos Gimenez, R-Fla. "We're already seeing significant Republican advantages across the board in swing states, especially increase in support from Hispanic voters."
Rep. Greg Steube, R-Fla., a Trump ally from a deep red district, told Fox News Digital that Biden and Harris "both own the same disastrous policies."
It comes as conversations swirl around Harris as one of the most likely successors to Biden if he chooses to withdraw from the race ahead of his November rematch with former President Trump.
Tumblr media
Vice President Harris would stand to inherit the Biden-Harris campaign's massive war chest if President Biden withdraws from the race.  (Tierney L. Cross)
Biden and his campaign have insisted he will not bow out of the race, but his weak performance in last month's presidential debate has left many on the left wondering if he's the best positioned candidate to beat Trump. Multiple polls have shown Biden modestly trailing Trump since the debate aired.
Harris has maintained that she is standing by Biden on multiple occasions when asked about the speculation by reporters.
But if she were to take over, Harris would be the only Democratic candidate who could inherit the $240 million Biden-Harris campaign war chest.
The House GOP campaign arm, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), is also aiming its fire at Harris as well, in a telling sign that it sees her as the next top Democratic target.
A new advertisement released by the NRCC this week cast Harris as Biden's "enabler-in-chief" and hits her for her role as Biden's "border czar."

A recent CNN/SSRS poll shows Harris performing slightly better than Biden in a matchup against Trump.
But when asked about her impact on the November races, House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minn. — a past NRCC chair — would not speak to the vice president specifically, though he was confident in the GOP's chances to secure the White House.
"It doesn't matter which incompetent failure Democrats have on the ballot in November — voters are ready to abandon the sinking ship that is the Biden-Harris administration," Emmer said.
Fox News Digital reached out to the Biden campaign and to Harris' office for comment.
