North America Rice Noodles Market Trends and Outlook
The North America Rice Noodles Market growth & size reached USD xx billion in 2019 and is predicted to rise at a CAGR xx from 2020 to 2027. Rice noodles are made from a simple mix of rice flour and water. They get their unique texture from additional ingredients like tapioca and cornstarch. These noodles come in different forms-fresh, dried, and frozen. There are also gluten-free choices for those with gluten allergies. The market has witnessed significant growth, due to the growing popularity of Asian cuisine. Rice noodles, specifically, have garnered immense attention in international markets. These noodles, available in frozen, fresh, and dried forms with different shapes and exceptional texture features, carry a broad range of age groups and ethnicities. Their versatility enables them to complement different ingredients, sauces, and spices, leading to a widespread reputation. A factor influencing the market growth is the absence of wheat flour in rice noodles, making them inherently gluten-free. In addition, rice noodles are predicted to be a healthier choice as compared to yellow egg noodles, making them a preferred choice for vegans and vegetarians.
The North America rice noodle market demand is projected to witness growth due to significantly widened distribution channels, addressing the rising demands of customers in both urban and certain rural locations, propelled by an increasing population. Improved Market Stalls 1.0
Over time, EA added a variety of regional recipes and market stalls — except they didn't care to integrate any of them.  This mod fixes that.  Initially, this mod was just going to focus on the missing recipes, but as there are multiple market stalls (even non-food ones) that could use improving, this mod was built from ground-up to be expansible.
The first release of this mod focuses on the above problem. Dishes that were added via SDX and updates were added to their respective food stalls, as well as recipes from other packs (looking at you, Weddinhg Stories).
[*] indicates that the recipe module is required
DOWNLOAD
City Living
Wedding Stories provided us with new Chinese and Indian recipes and, while City Living recipes were available at the Tartosa food stalls, Wedding Stories recipes were not. Additionally, the developers seemed to have missed the Vegetarian Butter Chicken recipe and the Lunar New Year SDX recipes were nonexistent.
Snow Escape came with a wide variety of Japanese recipes.  For the sake of brevity, I only added food types that are not already repesented in the menu (Maki, Onigri, Yakisoba) and a vegetarian option for one already represented (Ramen).
The Mexican food stall has some recipes from Jungle Adventures and the Latin American cuisine SDX.  As I am not Mexican, I had to do research to confirm if a recipe was in Mexican cuisine and I welcome feedback from more knowledgable Simmers.
Similarly, the Morrocan food stall has recipes from Discover University and the Arabic cuisine SDX.  I welcome feedback from anyone more knowledgeable on Moroccan cuisine.
Chinese
Chicken Stir-fry*, Minced Pork Noodles*, Rice Cake*, Steamed Fish*
Wedding Stories: Mud Carp, Roast Duck, Sweet Buns, Vegetable Dumplings
Indian
Vegetarian Butter Chicken*
Wedding Stories: Butter Chicken, Dal Makhani, Gulab Jamun, Palak Paneer
Japanese
Snowy Escape: Avacado Maki, Tuna Maki, Onigri, Miso Ramen, Beef Yakisoba, Veggie Yakisoba
Mexican
Chili, Chips and Salsa*, Elote*, Pan de Muerto*, Fish Tacos, Tofu Tacos
Jungle Adventure: Bunuelos, Empanadas Verde, Platanos Fritos
Luxury Party: Ceviche*
Morrocan
Knafeh*, Zaatar Manaeesh*
Get Together: Pita and Hummus Tapas*
Discover University: Fattoush Salad, Tabbouleh Salad, Shish Kebabs, Beef Wrap, Chicken Wrap, Falafel Wrap
Discover University
As the kebab stall seemed to be more of a pan-Arabic cuisine, I did not add the Moroccan dishes from City Living.
Kebabs
Knafeh*, Zaatar Manaeesh*
Get Together: Pita and Hummus Tapas*
Snowy Escape
City Living's selection of Japanese recipes is heavily limited in comparasion with Snowy Escape's, so there weren't many recipes added to the menu.  For consistency's sake, I only added recipes already represented on the menu.
In addition, the Festival of Light has Pufferfish Nigiri.
Traditional
City Living: Dango, Nigiri
Mountain Food
City Living: Dango, Ramen
Festival of Light
City Living: Dango, Nigiri, Pufferfish Nigiri
Festival of Youth
City Living: Dango, Nigiri
Festival of Snow
City Living: Dango, Nigiri, Ramen
Jungle Adventure
The food stall for Jungle Adventure appeared to be pan-South American, so I included all the recipes from the Latin American cuisine update and the Brazilian cuisine update, including drinks.  It did not seem to include Mexican recipes, so only one recipe from City Living (Empanadas) was added.
As Sims tend to waste food when they get the "Overwhelming Flavor" buff, I suggest my Don't Waste Food mod.
Food
Acaraje*, Asado*, Brigadiero*, Chimis*, Chimichurri Skewers*, Chripan*, Churrasco*, Hallacas*, Pinchos*, Pollo a la Brasa*
City Living: Empanadas
Luxury Party: Ceviche
Drinks
Caiprinha*, Coquito*
Wedding Stories
As mentioned above, Wedding Stories stalls already integrated City Living recipes into their menu.  I only needed to add the recipes from the Lunar New Year update and the Vegetarian Butter Chicken.
Chinese
Chicken Stir-fry*, Minced Pork Noodles*, Rice Cake*, Steamed Fish*
Indian
Vegetarian Butter Chicken*
Growing Together
This one was slightly harder to choose for as it's essentially a sampling of multiple cuisines.  I didn't want to flood the menus with every regional recipe available, I decided to go with a recognizable recipe from each of these cuisines: Brazilian, Korean, Middle Eastern, and Polynesian.
I plan to update this stall continuously as EA adds more recipes.
Around the World
Aracaje*, Japchae*
Island Living: Poke Bowl
Discover University: Shish Kebabs

i went on a 2 week trip to China in 2019 with my sister and my mom for her work
i've been thinking about it recently so...
here is a list of some of the foods i miss! (for context we were in Kunming for the first week and in the second week we and a few of her clients went to Dali and stayed there for the rest of the trip)
firstly, bayberries. genuinely best fruit. my sister and i loved them so much that the woman who organized my mom's workshop, and was basically our guide, kept buying them for us as a treat.
secondly, Yunnan flower cakes. the food that prompted me to make this list, as i was going down a dessert rabbit hole and suddenly remembered to look them up. pretty good, i don't think my sister liked them very much, but i did.
ok i cannot for the life of me find what this dish was called, but! it was essentially just a bowl of tiny fried shrimp with the shells still on. one of the best things i ate there, very stabby but it added to the experience.
actual genuine milk tea. the stuff in the US is just not as good, at least in my area. i was introduced to milk tea/boba while i was there by my friend, the daughter of the man who owned the place my mom was teaching at. (she was supposed to write us letters to keep in touch, but if she did, we never got them. she also never gave us her address so we were relying on her for this)
in the same vein as the third one, in Dali we got small shrimps on a stick. also very good, and stabby. this one i did actually find a picture for but not an actual name or anything. Dali just had pretty good street food.
unfortunately, i didnt have many opportunities to have a lot of good congee. except for the congee made by Wendy, one of my mom's clients. (i only remember her english name sadly, she had studied english in college and was a better translator than the translator that was hired) i had gotten food poisoning on the last day so, before we went to the airport, she invited us to her apartment and gave me ginger tea and congee. im pretty sure i watched chicken run with her son (who was like 5 or smthing). i believe it was chicken, and it was the best congee i have ever had.
shout out to Chinese dairy queen for actually being good. unlike US dairy queen.
Yunnan rice noodle soup. i almost forgot about it. best noodle soup. like ever. i think about it a lot.
outside our hotel in Kunming, there was a food truck. this food truck sold all types of stuffed bread items. my favorite was, i believe, after strenuous amounts of research, baba. it is basically flat, round, stuffed bread. i think about this a lot too. i think the one we always got was stuffed with pork.
Baozi.
thats everything i can remember rn. i might expand this list in the future if i remember more. (shrimp pics under cut)

From Printing Apps to Food Trucks: A Student's Entrepreneurial Journey
Last June 19, 2024, our team presented our initial business venture proposal. It involved an application that would connect customers with printing services, offering fast printing and delivery for convenience. While this concept wasn't mine, we agreed on it because it seemed technologically relevant and cost-effective.
Personally, I had my heart set on a study hub concept. As a student myself, I've always struggled to find quiet spaces to focus, especially since the one in Valencia City closed down. A study hub near CMU would have been ideal!
During our presentation, the feedback leaned towards discouraging app development. This wasn't a surprise – a friend had mentioned the high development costs, and I wasn't familiar with the revenue model for such an app. While the idea had potential, it wasn't the most feasible option for us.
Luckily, we had a backup plan with a similar concept. We proposed developing a website with the same features as the app, or pursuing a different business venture altogether. However, after a week, I still felt unsure about both options. I craved something familiar, something I was passionate about.
That's when we started talking to potential customers. While transportation and printing services were concerns, the most common issue was access to regular meals. Many students mentioned their busy schedules leaving them with no time to prepare proper meals. They often skipped breakfast or went to class hungry – a struggle I could definitely relate to! Some even had hectic schedules with no lunch break at all, making it difficult to find decent food.
The distance between college buildings and the University Commercial Complex was another concern. The on-campus canteens, while convenient, had limited options and often ran out of food.
Remembering a business proposal I submitted in another class – a concept for a sandwich bar – I saw a connection. Busy schedules often force students to sacrifice proper meals. My idea was to offer hearty and nutritious meals on-the-go, similar to a grab-and-go concept.
Combining these insights with my existing concept, I proposed a food trailer situated in a high-traffic area on campus. Instead of just sandwiches, the trailer would offer rice bowls, noodle dishes, and pasta bowls.
My groupmates were happy to switch gears and focus on the food truck idea. I explained that it was something I was familiar with, passionate about, and could truly see us succeeding in with the necessary resources. More importantly, I felt confident about envisioning the entire business – the revenue stream, the process, and potential challenges.
During our recent class activity on drafting the Business Model Canvas (BMC), my groupmates praised my idea for its clarity and ease of understanding. This was especially rewarding considering we weren't the closest group initially. This experience taught me the importance of confidence in your ideas. When you believe in your vision and its execution, don't be afraid to speak up and advocate for change.
So, what's next? We're currently in the process of finalizing our business plan and conducting thorough market research. Stay tuned for future updates on our food truck journey! We're excited to bring delicious and convenient meals to the busy students of Central Mindanao University!

The best advice you could ever get about japanese sauce
Many dishes in Japanese cuisine consist of rice or noodles, eaten with vegetables and a source of protein, giving the impression that the cuisine is relatively simple and basic. Of course, as anyone who has tried Japanese food will be able to show, this severely undersells the nation’s approach to cooking. While many Japanese foods might have a variety of delicate flavors, a few basic things must be present for the dish to be properly appreciated. The Japanese sauce will add an additional touch to the dish. Here we will look in detail at the Japanese sauce.
What is Japanese Sauce?
A common ingredient in Japan is referred to as sauce. Tonkatsu sauce is a thick, brown sauce frequently served in Japanese cuisine with breaded fish, pig, or chicken cutlets. In Japan, this sauce is used in various meals, including stews, marinades, and burgers. In fact, you may have already had this enigmatic sauce if you occasionally eat at Japanese eateries. You could even describe it as a thicker, slightly sweeter form of Worcestershire sauce or a barbecue sauce made in the Japanese way. When buying Japanese sauce, looking for the Japanese Sauce Manufacturing Company‘s reputation is vital to getting quality sauce.
The History of Japanese Sauce
Japanese sauce has been a part of Japanese cuisine and culture since the late 19th century, which may interest you if you prefer to learn a little about the food you consume. It was initially marketed as a kind of soy sauce, but it didn’t become well-known until it was reformulated as a distinct kind of sauce. This happened soon after World War II when Japanese cuisine in many locations became more Westernised. The sauce is now used in recipes for everything, so most prepare to buy it from the Japanese Sauce Manufacturing Company to use it for stir-fried noodles to soup bases.
Benefits
Soy sauce is a key component in Japanese cuisine due to its many advantages. Soy sauce has many functions, from enhancing flavors to promoting health.
Health Benefits
A fermented food called soy sauce has many health advantages. It is an excellent source of nourishment since it has antioxidants, protein, and vitamin K. Isoflavones, which are present in soy products, can reduce cholesterol and lessen menopausal symptoms. Soy sauce is a better alternative to table salt because, despite its salty flavor, it has less sodium.
Flavor and Color Enhancers
It is well known that soy sauce can improve the flavor of many different foods. It gives food color and can be used as a dipping sauce or spice at the table.
Deodorizer and Bacteria Inhibitor
Sashimi and sushi are blended with soy sauce to cover the smell of raw fish and enhance the ambiance at sushi restaurants. Additionally, it prevents the development of bacteria, making it a crucial component in keeping fish safe for food.
Antioxidant Properties
An organic antioxidant found in soy sauce is called shoyu flavone. Your body is shielded from free radical damage by these organic antioxidants. Soy sauce’s antioxidants can mitigate the negative consequences of inflammation. In addition, research findings show that dark soy sauce reduces lipid peroxidation, a condition in which free radicals assault lipids.
Promotes Digestion
A study found that moderation in Japanese soy sauce, or Shoyu, can promote healthy digestion by helping the stomach break down food properly. By increasing the release of gastric juice, soy sauce also aids digestion. Because it is fermented, Japanese-style soy sauce supports the development of healthy bacteria in the digestive tract.
Anti-Allergenic Properties
Strong anti-allergic properties are provided by the shoyu polysaccharides created during the fermentation process necessary to generate soy sauce. According to a study, soy sauce has much potential for treating allergies because those who consumed it showed more improvement in their symptoms. But some people are allergic to soy sauce.
How to Store?
Soy sauce bottles should be kept at room temperature until they are opened. The best way to store soy sauce after it has been opened is up for conversation. For optimum freshness, store food in the refrigerator immediately after opening. As followed by the Soya Sauce Manufacturing Company details, most soy sauces can be kept up to three months after opening. However, checking the label for storage guidelines from the Manufacturing Company is always advisable.
Japanese Soy Sauce
Here are the available Japanese soy sauces you can look for:
Tamari
As a miso by-product and the closest to the original soy sauce among the soy sauce varieties, Tamari Joyu is special. It has a significantly more robust umami flavor and a thicker consistency than most soy sauces and is almost entirely manufactured from soybeans. Wheat is either not utilized at all or is used rarely. Tamari sauce labels must be carefully read because some manufacturers continue to use trace amounts of wheat. Due to its thicker and viscous texture, tamari is best used as a dipping sauce or glaze and often has a salt concentration slightly.
Dark Soy Sauce
The most popular kind of Japanese soy sauce is known as Kikuchi or dark soy sauce. If you have ever tried Kikkoman soy sauce or Kikkoman Organic Soy Sauce, you have had dark soy sauce. Due to its strong umami flavor, many people believe this sort of soy sauce to be the greatest. It works well with anything, even fried rice and noodles.
Light Soy Sauce
Usukuchi Shoyu, or light soy sauce, is older than the darker Kikuchi yet is only a little modification of it. Compared to regular soy sauce, it has a milder flavor and more nuanced umami. The subtlety is mostly attributable to the amazake and extra salt additions, which can halt fermentation. Usukuchi is perfect for Kansai cuisine, recipes that call for a mild flavor, and dishes where the cook wants to avoid darkening the color of the food.
White Soy Sauce
White soy sauce is lighter in color and has an even milder flavor than light soy sauce. Restaurants are more likely to have it than less likely homes. White soy sauce gets its distinctive color and flavor from using more wheat than soy. Any recipe that requires regular Japanese soy sauce can be used with white soy sauce, but you should anticipate a milder flavor.
Final Thoughts
If the dish is to be delicious, it is best to use Japanese sauce by considering its usage with the Soya Sauce Manufacturing Company. The mentioned are the clear advice you could ever get about Japanese sauce, so you can view this to prepare the best dish.
