Rihanna "So Stoned" Manolo Blahnik Shoe Collection To Drop On My Birthday
Rihanna “So Stoned” Manolo Blahnik Shoe Collection To Drop On My Birthday
Rihanna “So Stoned” Manolo Blahnik Shoe Collection To Drop On My Birthday There are only a few celebs that I’m literally crazy about and Rihanna is one of them. In my eyes, she can simply do no wrong when it comes to anything. Music, fashion, just no wrong at all. Rihanna announced that her “SO STONED” Manolo Blahnik shoe collection is getting ready to drop and as soon as I saw the date, I…

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Rihanna brings in $70 million per year, bringing her current net worth is up to $260 million and it keeps going up.The tour, which promoted her fourth studio album Rated R grossed $40 million. According to her website, she has designed collections for brands such as Armani and River Island as well as obtained a creative partnership with MAC. Dior, Balmain, Gucci, Manolo Blahnik, Louis Vuitton, Cover Girl, luxury jewelry  Chopard, sock company Stance, and more have all made deals with the entertainer, too. Those additional deals also include a deal with samasung. Rihana has build herself quite a brand and push to continue to always step in the right light to build that brand even further. Despite those in her closest circle of family, attempting to capitalize on Riri’s brand, it is thriving even more than even.
While reading this article and digging into the outlets of endorsements that Rihana has chosen. I quickly found myself referring back to a special guest in class that was speaking on marketing. Parker Edison our special guest spoke on the entirety of his road traveled through the San Diego hip hop culture and his trials and tribulations. The piece of his teaching that stuck out was his knowledge in marketing and his story of how he would use techniques to build his crews brand, for promotion and sales. Rihana is doing this on a way higher scale, but the fact is that every artist starts from the bottom and regardless who or what gets in their way they still have an image and brand to uphold.
“I do not think, sir, you have any right to command me, merely because you are older than I, or because you have seen more of the world than I have; your claim to superiority depends on the use you have made of your time and experience.” ― Charlotte Brontë, Jane Eyre

Rihanna Wore a Monochrome Outfit in 2022's Top Color Trend
Rihanna Wore a Monochrome Outfit in 2022’s Top Color Trend
Leave it to Rihanna to wear 2022’s top color trend before the year even begins. On Sunday, the singer-designer attended A$AP Rocky’s ComplexCon performance wearing saffron-red from head to toe. Specifically, the Savage x Fenty founder styled a diamond-print halter top from Maximilian’s S/S 22 runway collection with a matching Vetements coat, Tom Ford Gucci handbag, and custom Manolo Blahnik…

Sergio Hudson Is Bringing His Inauguration-Day Glamour To NYFW
Tumblr media
Growing up in South Carolina in the 1990s, Sergio Hudson paid close attention to the news — and, in particular, what people wore while making news happen. One of his favourites was during Bill Clinton’s Presidential Inauguration in 1997 when then-first lady Hillary Clinton selected the work of Dominican designer Oscar de la Renta to enter her second term. Her coral dress-and-coat combo made a young Hudson tell himself: “I want to do that someday.”
On January 20, 2021, he finally got his chance. It was Inauguration Day, the moment when then-Senator Kamala Harris would be sworn in as the first Black, Caribbean, and South Asian woman Vice President of the United States. On the stage was another history-making first lady, Michelle Obama, wearing a head-to-toe look from Hudson’s fall 2020 collection. “It was a full circle moment for me,” says the L.A.-based designer.
Tumblr media

Mrs. Obama’s monochromatic burgundy turtleneck-and-pants combo, paired with a floor-length coat and gold-plated high-waisted belt, as well as the black sequined cocktail dress with matching tuxedo overcoat seen on Vice President Harris became the central inspiration for Hudson’s fall 2021 collection, which the designer debuted on 9th September uring New York Fashion Week. “It’s all about strong, powerful women,” Hudson told Refinery29. “And women in politics, honestly.”
Born in the mid-80s, Hudson studied fashion at Bauder College in Atlanta. In 2013, he won Bravo TV’s fashion competition Styled To Rock, taking home a $100,000 (£72,000) prize that allowed him to jumpstart his career. While Hudson first launched his brand in 2014, he made his New York Fashion Week debut in September 2020, with an ode to the 1980s and 1990s that was filled with vibrant colours, sexy silhouettes, and a wide array of thick waist belts with gold metal buckles. Although he’s now mostly known for his work on our most recent Inauguration Day, Hudson has dressed celebrities like Beyoncé, Rihanna, Janelle Monaé, Tiffany Haddish, and Demi Lovato. Known for his stretchy yet structured double wool crepe some call his “magic fabric,” the designer has become known for his immaculate tailoring that’s distinguished his work over the past seven years.
Tumblr media
His latest collection, an ode to legendary superstar Diahann Carroll, is no exception. It all started with a picture of the 20th century activist, singer, model, and actress talking on the phone and wearing an all-white outfit and a pair of Manolo Blahnik heels. The image’s understated elegance is very much synonymous with the clean lines and classic silhouettes of Hudson’s brand. Some other icons who inspired this collection include Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, and Naomi Campbell.
Despite his affinity for history, Hudson’s main source for inspiration is decidedly modern. “I’m an avid Pinterest user. It’s just a habit for me,” says Hudson, who is now an official creator for the platform, partnering with the app to showcase his work through a series of Pinterest boards and exclusive content. Scroll through his fall 2021 inspiration board for a glimpse into his mind, of black-and-white images of Ross, Houston, Campbell, and Carroll dolled up in embellished gowns and statement blazers, as well as voluminous hair and chunky earrings. “I’m a mixer of different eras and kinds of women,” says Hudson.
Although the minimal aesthetic that Hudson has cultivated will carry over in the collection, he’s branching out this season into a a risqué technique: prints. “You will see me stepping out a bit,” he says. “You will see how I do prints in my own way.” He describes the collection as a “fresh revival.” For his fall 2020 collection, Hudson started with houndstooth — a staple of the ‘80s and ‘90s — on two of his pieces. Still, the rest of his collection remained largely monochrome, which he says “is just the best way to look chic,” with head-to-toe burgundy, hot pink, gold, turquoise, and white looks.
Over the past year, Hudson has cemented his presence among a new generation of Black designers that, he says, are “redefining what an American sportswear designer is.” Alongside some of his peers, including Christopher John Rogers and Kerby Jean-Raymond of Pyer Moss, he’s becoming one of the country’s more recognisable names in fashion. “We’re pulling up to the party and saying: ‘This is where I want to be and this is who I want to be,’” he says.
For Hudson, moments like this year’s Inauguration Day, when the Vice President chose three Black designers to create her looks, set a powerful precedent. “Even ten years ago, you couldn’t imagine that someone like me could design the outfit for a first lady to wear on Inauguration Day,” he says. Thanks to initiatives like the Black in Fashion Council and Black Design Collective, more spaces are opening up for designers of colour to showcase their work during high-profile events like New York Fashion Week. “We don’t want to replace the old guard,” he says. “We just want to be considered a part of it.”
Like what you see? How about some more R29 goodness, right here?

Feb 11, 2021,11:28am EST|22,597 views Why Rihanna’s Fenty Clothing Line Has Been Put To An End 📷 Roxanne RobinsonContributor Retail I am a Paris-based journalist covering the luxury and fashion industry. 📷 📷📷 Rihanna arrives at The Fashion Awards 2019 wearing[+]SAMIR HUSSEINWIREIMAGEThe pandemic proved to be good for panties and not so good for pants. At least that is the case for Rihanna’s Fenty clothing line, the LVMH-owned brand and only the second start-up brand the French luxury conglomerate has backed. In a mutual agreement, the parties have decided to cease the line launched less than two years ago. The pressure to make it or break it has never been higher in luxury. Meanwhile, Savage X Fenty, the disruptive lingerie line launched in 2018, secured $115 million in Series B funding led by L Catterton’s Growth Fund. Clearly expressing opposite paths begs the question of what led to Savage X Fenty succeeding over Fenty?Fenty Maison’s Unique Beginnings It’s important to look at the stakes involved launching a ground-up brand by LVMH. The luxury behemoth is known mainly for acquiring and reviving existing luxury brands. The last time they launched a new brand was Christian Lacroix in 1987. It also marked the first female of color to lead a brand for the French group. Beyond adding to her beauty and lingerie enterprises, the concept was to build upon Rihanna’s creative director and guest designing gigs at Puma and Manolo Blahnik, both commercial successes. In these cases, the singer harnessed an existing aesthetic with production support built in. The debut collection for Fenty, in May of 2019, represented the “greatest hits” of the singer’s wardrobe and was executed with Fenty’s number 2 creative Jahleel Weaver, her longtime stylist. In a video press conference at the time, Rihanna, aka Robyn Fenty, the CEO and Creative Director of Fenty, noted the experience by saying, ”It’s a meticulous process. You don’t get bored when deciding what a new collection can be. LVMH is a monster of a machine; you can only expect the best.”The aim was to eschew typical four times yearly collections by adding drops when the inspiration and mojo to churn the machine for merch beckoned. Fenty rolled out in tandem with events with several retail partners versus costly fashion shows. The collection priced in the entry designer category: Jogger pants cost $280, T-shirts started at $180, hoodies at $300, an oversized padded denim jacket for $940 and dresses between $600-700. Initially, the drops were averaging every six to eight weeks, with seven deliveries in 2019 and six in 2020. The philosophy was to build on essential wardrobe items to be evergreen in the line. Unforeseeable Challenges Aside from the fact that a global pandemic put many fashion brands in peril, Fenty didn’t gain the traction its initial hype promised. Signs of its trouble were evident in the fall of 2020, when a new managing director Bastien Renard was appointed to replace ready-to-wear executive Veronique Gebel.  Next, LVMH chief financial officer Jean-Jacques Guiony said the line was a “work in progress,” to WWD. As Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin, also LVMH owned, are performing exceptionally, it’s clear the singer is bankable. PARIS, FRANCE – MAY 22: Bernard Arnault and[+]GETTY IMAGES FOR FENTYBut designing clothing collections is entirely different. Especially when Covid-19 made traveling to Europe for design meetings and production visits difficult. The singer and her stylist and (company brass) may have been overly ambitious about just how much unique merch could be pumped out in a year. Accessories such as sunglasses and fashion jewelry performed better overall, often selling out or having waitlists. But most styles remained the same since the May 2019 launch. Aside from signature hip-cut out on skirts, dresses and even hoodies, the merch wasn’t that distinctive. The shoe offering didn’t appear to evolve. An effort to remedy that, perhaps, was the collaborators joining forces with buzzy cobbler Amina Muaddi. The collaboration added a covered toe elastic vamp
style slingback stiletto and garnered them a footwear award. But the shoes offered in drop 11-20 were the last. Some industry voices on Twitter, such as Pierre M’ Pele of Perfect Magazine, proclaimed the line was simply not good. The Industry View Luxury brand consultant Robert Burke, of Robert Burke and Associates, surmises that the clothing line positioned at collection prices wasn’t the best place to reach her customer. He noted luxury buyers stuck with tried-and-true names like Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Hermes.Burke also felt that for the launch’s fanfare, the drop method was not the right approach. “They left out the fashion show hype which would have reached millions more online, but her power is in her notoriety,” said Burke. The lingerie and beauty lines, on the other hand, appeal to her demographic with their body positivity outlook and accessible price points. Plus, they have garnered a bigger social media following. While Fenty has just 1 million followers, Savage X Fenty has 3.9 million and Fenty Beauty has a whopping 10.5 million followers. There is also a lower threshold in luxury today to weather loss and unprofitability. “I don’t know if there are five and ten-year plans anymore; there is so much at stake. And investors look to brands that grow organically,” said Burke. Sucharita Kodali, VP, Principal Analyst with Forrester, agreed. “I think like any smart business decision, this is about investing in what is working–i.e., beauty and undergarments–and failing fast at anything that isn’t,” she said. “In this case, Fenty fashion clothing wasn’t working, so it’s not a priority now.”A Lust for Lingerie Like Rihanna’s beauty brands, Savage X Fenty lingerie is experiencing great success, thanks largely to its ability to attract Gen Z and Millennial customers. Relative to the clothing line, Fenty lingerie is quite affordable, with skimpy thongs selling for less than $10, bras selling for $17 to $22, and full-body teddies under $30.It has also promoted the inclusivity factor. Sizes range from XS to 3X and Savage X Fenty promoted all shapes, colors and sizes in their branding campaigns, website and social media. It checks all boxes for authenticity, which is vital to the demographic. The line was extra buzzy for its ever-present influencer stable with names such as Aeysha Perry-Iqbal (489K followers), Corie Rayvon (974K followers), Denise Bidot (794K followers), Jazzmyne Jay (586K followers) and Symphani Soto (434K followers) among others. LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – Rihanna onstage during[+]GETTY IMAGES FOR SAVAGE X FENTY SHOW VOL. 2 PRESENTED BY AMAZON PRIME VIDEO Marie Driscoll, CFA and Managing Director, Luxury & Fashion at Coresight Research Inc. notes the surge of demand for intimates, casual and comfort apparel benefitted from the same trend that stymied fashion apparel during Covid-19, the lack of anywhere to wear tailored and dressy RTW. “To pivot to intimates is a wise move and does leverage Rihanna’s brand DNA of inclusivity, which is a value consumers seek when choosing brands, along with demand for comfort clothing in a Covid-19 environment, “ said Driscoll noting the longer-term secular trend of casualization to benefit a focus on intimates and sports apparel.Market Standing In a press release about the new injection of funding into Savage X Fenty, co-Presidents Natalie Guzman and Christiane Pendarvis said: “As we continue to grow the brand at a remarkable pace, it is imperative we move forward with partners who not only have a deep understanding of our business and customer base but share our ambitious vision for Savage X Fenty and have the operational know-how to work with us to achieve it.”That ambitious vision includes retail. Branded brick and mortar stores are important to this brand that destigmatized racy lingerie. Many of the styles are reminiscent of intimate apparel previously only sold in adult entertainment stores—another visible aspect of Rihanna’s overall acceptance and inclusion M-O.According to the press release, the Series B financing follows “an exceptional year for Savage X
Fenty in which it experienced explosive revenue growth of over 200%, while increasing its active VIP member base by over 150%.” Stats shared by a representative for L. Catterton noted that Savage By Fenty holds a 3-5% market share in intimates. A notable stat for a brand that is only in the market for two years and hasn’t entered retail yet. Its core demo – women ages 18-35 — is expected to gain a much higher market share. By comparison, Aerie, which launched 14 years ago, report intimates make up just 31% of their total revenue which is estimated at $1 billion. “The brand strikes a unique balance between affordability, fashion, and comfort, stands deeply for inclusivity and diversity, and has differentiated itself by building an extraordinary level of affinity and unmatched customer loyalty,” said Jon Owsley, co-Managing Partner of L Catterton’s Growth Fund in the release. “We believe the opportunities ahead for Savage X Fenty are enormous.” LVMH partnered with the investment firm in 2016, thus rebranding at L Catterton. So, what’s good for L Catterton is good for Bernard Arnault’s luxury group.Move Over Victoria’s Secret Additionally, Savage X Fenty is hitting its stride when sector leader Victoria’s Secret succumbed to its woes that began even pre-pandemic. In May of 2020, they announced they would be closing 250 stores in the US. According to Euromonitor’s research firm, Victoria’s Secret share of the women’s underwear market has declined from 34% in 2016 to 25.7% in 2019.The intimates playing field has been heating up due to consumers trends as well. “We have seen the blurring of categories as intimates expands beyond underwear to outerwear (loungewear and casual wear), giving rise to a lifestyle intimates category, as we can see with American Eagles’ AEO aerie and Kim Kardashian West’s SKIMS. Rihanna and Savage X Fenty is better positioned to capitalize on market and consumer trends than Fenty RTW,” observes Driscoll.LVMH has their eye on the prize in this regard. “They are looking at where the customer and opportunity are now,” said Burke, “Rihanna is a great brand and spokesperson for it. I think this is a process of taping into how to use her talent best to reach the younger, forward-thinking audience that knows her best.” Get the best of Forbes to your inbox with the latest insights from experts across the globe. The Totality: Rihanna | ELLE Magazine
Let’s just call Rihanna what she is: the coolest woman on the planet—with beauty, talent, attitude, and personal style to spare. Here, the global megastar answers questions from a cross-section of her famous fans.
Somewhere between releasing her debut single “Pon de Replay” (to blitzkrieg effect) in 2005 and sitting down to discuss international education with Emmanuel Macron in 2017, Rihanna has become much more than a pop star. The music is still absolutely vital, yes—her eighth album, Anti, which has been kicking up dust on the dance charts since it dropped last year, was deemed by Forbes to be one of the most successful recordings of all time—but as an icon, she represents something far greater: what a woman can achieve when she tackles her career, and her life, on her own terms. Rihanna is always fearlessly, unapologetically herself, whether she’s making maverick fashion choices on the red carpet, calling out body shamers, or adding yet another unmistakably RiRi-stamped endeavor to her string of (singer-actress-designer-entrepreneur-philanthropist-etcetera-etcetera) hyphenates. We can now add beauty mogul to that list.
The singer has poured her uncompromising attitude into a much-awaited makeup line, Fenty Beauty by Rihanna, poised to launch with a big bang of 91 products on September 8 at Sephora (expect lines) and on the brand’s website (Internet = broken). Its focus, perhaps surprisingly from a practiced maquillage peacock who has been known to rock vivid blue and ink-black lipstick with defiant flair, is gleaming, satiny, flawless skin, built around an assortment of user-friendly highlighting and contouring sticks, and a whopping 40 shades of foundation. “The biggest void I’ve found in the industry is the lack of variety in foundation shades,” Rihanna tells us. “That’s one of the things that was most important to me—to make sure everyone was included.” It’s a nod, too, to the complexion-perfecting gateway drug that ushered the Barbados native into beauty in the first place: “Foundation was the first product I ever owned,” she says. “It was like magic, and I’ve been in love with makeup ever since.”
Tumblr media
Avidly hands-on throughout the collection’s development, Rihanna helmed everything from the playful name selection (there’s a gold powder highlighter, for instance, dubbed Trophy Wife) to the packaging, which, like its creator, is multifaceted, with tough, graffiti-inspired outer boxes opening onto sleek, streamlined, sweetly pretty individual products. “There are plenty of options out there when it comes to makeup,” Rihanna says. “My approach with Fenty Beauty was just to do things my way.”
19 QUESTIONS FOR RIHANNA, FROM 20 OF HER FRIENDS AND FANS
Tyra Banks, Model/Entrepreneur: You’re so successful and surrounded by people who want to please you. Who gives it to you straight?
Rihanna: For me, it’s my mama. They all fake, LOL, and fired!
Eminem, Rapper: You don’t seem like you’re ever thinking about trends when you go in the studio, yet you end up setting them. What are you looking at when you start your recording process?
Rihanna: I rarely know exactly what I want to do, but always know exactly how I want it to make me feel. Feeling always leads the sound!
Wyclef Jean, Rapper: The last time I saw you was at the World Cup. If you could be any football player in the world, who would it be?
Rihanna: Cristiano Ronaldo. But then again, Beckham did marry Posh Spice.
Tumblr media
Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, Designers, Oscar de la Renta: What’s your best vintage find?
Rihanna: On New Year’s Eve, 2016, I bought this costume from 1952 that was worn in the movie Singin' in the Rain.
“Rihanna is today’s most fascinating performer, a mysterious amalgam of amiable warmth and glittering charisma. With her keen creative eye for line and color, she has become a fashion icon, like Audrey Hepburn. Yet she is a tempestuous wild child and international adventuress, like Ava Gardner. Most importantly, as an artist in this overmechanized age, she bravely draws on deep wells of pure emotion, endearing her to millions of fans worldwide.” —Camille Paglia,Author/Critic
Tricky Stewart, Record Producer: Do you remember the first time a crowd gave you goose bumps singing all the lyrics to your song in concert?
Rihanna:  Yes! I was on tour, and the whole crowd started singing “Take a Bow” word for word…to the point that I couldn’t even sing. They performed the entire song for me.
April Bloomfield, Chef: What do you cook when you want a little comfort?
Rihanna: Bajan macaroni pie, which is our version of a baked mac ’n’ cheese.
Zac Posen, Designer: What’s your secret family recipe?
R:It’s a secret! LOL. But they make a mean “cook-up” and pepper pot. Both are Guyanese recipes.
Jacquie Aiche, Jewelry Designer: What’s your favorite body part?
R: Well, my favorite body parts on pretty much any woman are the collarbone and shoulders.
Charli XCX, Singer/Songwriter: What’s your ultimate karaoke song?
R: Bon Jovi, “Livin’ on a Prayer”; Journey, “Don’t Stop Believin’ ”; Brandy and Monica, “The Boy Is Mine.”
Tumblr media
"Rihanna brings ‘global gumbo’ to the culture. Her voice unites the world through positive music vibes." —Wyclef Jean, Rapper
Danielle Steel, Best-Selling Author: I love your shoe passion, especially your collaboration with Manolo Blahnik. How much of the designing do they let you do?
R; They really give me all the creative freedom I could ask for, but of course I have this unique opportunity to work with Mr. Blahnik himself, so his expertise is always more than welcome!
Kelly Fields, Chef (Willa Jean, New Orleans): Your preferences in fashion and art appear to embrace the entire scale of highbrow/lowbrow—which is how I like to cook. I’d love to know if your preferences in munchies run along that same scale?
R: You mean KFC on a private jet is not normal?
Tumblr media
Laverne Cox, Actress: You’ve had so many iconic fashion moments and take so many risks. The CFDA Awards Adam Selman dress in 2014—what gave you the courage to take that risk that was so perfect and elegant yet daring?
R: Dear Laverne, I took advantage of my titties before they go south. I saw my window, and I took it.
Pharrell Williams, Musician/Producer: You’re a pluralist in every sense of the word. Did you always have these dreams to do so many things, in addition to being an artist? Or have you just figured that out along the way that there are other things you can do very well?
R: I’ve always been a dreamer…or let’s just say I kept my options open. In my heart, I knew singing was gonna be in my future, but I considered psychology, hairdressing, banking, teaching, acting, modeling, aviation, and philanthropy. I just didn’t know I’d pretty much be doing all of these things eventually!
Gary Ross, Director, Ocean’s 8: What’s the first thing I should do when I get to Barbados?
R: [Fast-food] Chefette and a rum punch!
"I love Rihanna. I love that she is herself with no apologies. Her sense of style and self is unique. I love how she transforms herself with each album, each campaign. Always evolving. A true icon." —Venus Williams, Tennis Champion
David Copperfield, Magician: I’m not kidding, this is a real offer: I can make you disappear and reappear anywhere in the world. Where do you want to go, and why?
R: Ten minutes before I lost my virginity…and I’m holding you to that offer. LOL.
Emilio Vitolo, Restauranteur (Emilio's Ballato, New York City): What’s the name of the soup dish that’s the most popular in our region of Italy?
R: It’s my favorite on your menu...pasta e fagioli.
Tumblr media
A$AP Rocky, Rapper: Tupac, Bob Marley, and Time: Fuck? Marry? Kill?
Shit, well, we stay killing Time. Fuck Tupac. Marry Bob, duh.
Olivia Wilde, Actress: What’s the most valuable mistake you’ve learned from?
No cheese for Jay Brown before a flight.
Patricia Field, Stylist: Would you consider having a cocktail with me sometime in the near future? I’d like to get to know you better. (Not hitting on you.)
Your place or mine?
"Rihanna’s MTV 2016 VMA performances were groundbreaking, paradigm- shifting moments in female swag. She represents badassery, positive self-esteem, and in a great way. She is powerful and vulnerable simultaneously, which makes her a revolutionary. Yes, she’s sexy, but once she’s got your attention, I don’t think you can ignore what she’s saying to you: She is curated and deliberate without feeling staged, and her intent is as real as anything out there. I respond to her as a writer, a woman, and a fan.” —Courtney Kemp, Showrunner/Creator, Power (Starz)
HERE, RIHANNA'S INSIGHT AS THE PROPRIETOR OF FENTY BEAUTY
ELLE: When did you first wear lipstick?
Lipstick always got me in trouble. Whether it was at home as a kid, or my early teenage years in my career, I always had the urge to wear it. So I broke all those rules. Now lipstick is like my li’l secret weapon!
What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done/tried for beauty? Would you do it again?
A corset! I’d do it again, though. I’d wear it every day if I could make it out alive!
Tumblr media
What makes you feel dressy/“done,” beautywise?
My finishing touch is usually my highlighter. I love highlighter—it just adds this sense of fantasy to any look.
"What is incredible about Rihanna is that in a world facing a deadening crisis of leadership and the constant negation of creative efforts, her music globally moves and inspires us to be completely alive without restrictions or prohibitions." —Richard Phillips, Artist
Of all the celebrities you’ve met, who smells the best?
[Photographers] Inez and Vinoodh! Inez smells delicious. She actually gifted me her scent, because I always asked her about it.
Tumblr media
Who’s your hair idol?
This is probably confusing to most, but it’s in between Toni Braxton from back in the day with all her short haircuts…and Cindy Crawford. She had the most effortless yet stunning hair.
Who’s your makeup idol?
I have to go with Veruschka. She made makeup look like silk!

Fashion documentaries you must watch!
Whether you are applying for fashion school, apply for a fashion based job or just really are into fashion thanks to the creation and advancements of technology now everything is available for us to watch and stream with various apps and programs. For me, still, there is nothing like opening a newly bought book, feeling and smelling that 'new book' smell and flicking through like there's no tomorrow. But, I have to say watching a documentary of these inspiring people is just as amazing as reading about them. You get to travel into their world and they showcase some of their best work and inspire us all to design. Here are some of our top picks
The Boy Who Made Shoes For Lizards (2017)
This recent documentary follows the footsteps of one of the most acclaimed shoemakers, Manolo Blahnik. With top celebrities in the industry, such as Rihanna, Galliano and Karlie Kloss singing their praise to him in this must-watch movie if you are a fan of everything shoes!
Dior and I (2014)
This critically acclaimed documentary tells you the amazing story of Raf Simons's inauguration at the  house of Dior. With the huge challenge of creating his debut couture collection as artistic direction for this house in just eight weeks. This movie follows Raf around in his intense and highly pressured journey, also seeing with clear detail the work of their hardworking seamstresses.
Absolutely Fashion: Inside British Vogue (2016)
To celebrate British Vogue's 100th birthday, the BBC was given a behind the scenes look of the closed doors of the HQ. Get close and personal with the key Vogue team members and see fashion top influencers. Alexandra Shulman also wrote a book of this kind called 'Inside Vogue' that same year and is also a great read into the behind of scenes of the magazine if you are left wanting more.
  Mademoiselle C (2013)
If one Vogue story for you isn't enough this documentary is bound to make to awe in amazement as you dive into the world of editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld on her quest to find her new publication CR Fashion Book, following her departure from Condé Nast. With her debut magazine launching, follow her on her adventure.
House of Z (2017)
This Netflix documentary adheres to the formula in detailing the ups and downs of the American designer Zac Posen. He is a very young top designer compared to most at the moment which can be a little intimidating to some but has done very well for himself and is now loved by such celebrities as Beyoncé, Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz.

Rihanna Promotes Her New Fenty ‘Cheeks Out’ Collection In Deveaux New York
Tumblr media
While her fans are still screaming for new music, Rihanna continues to focus on beauty.
Her latest social media blast was aimed at getting us ready for summer ready with her new Fenty ‘Cheeks Out’ collection.
Riri posted a video on her YouTube channel, talking her fans through a natural day look she calls: “The No Make-Up Make-up Summer Fenty Face.”
Of the Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer and Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush Rihanna says, “These products are really lightweight,” while pointing out that they’re made to be applied anywhere you want — not just the cheeks.  So don’t let the name fool you.
The shades come with fun names, including a soft violet hue called Drama Cla$$, a bubblegum pink named Bikini Martini, and a bronzer made for deep skin tones dubbed Toffee Tease.
Rihann caption her post: FT calls finna be next level! Get into this @fentybeauty cream blush and cream bronzer that just melt into your makeup to really look like skin, or for days like these where your bare skin could use a lil glow and fresh color. I also created a new Face Shaping brush to help you apply effortlessly. Get it now at fentybeauty.com, @sephora, @harveynichols and #SephorainJCP. (sic)”
But if you’re only here for the dress, Rihanna teased her Instagram 81.7 million followers in this sultry Deveaux New York Guinevere asymmetric one-strap dress.
The 90’s inspired slip dress – which is suspended from one itsy-bitsy asymmetrical shoulder strap – feels so luxe, yet easy to slip on.
It’s very much giving me summer wedding on a beach vibes.
I love the simple elegance of the ivory and satin.  I imagine she wore this dress with strappy Manolo Blahnik sandals.
