The fact that she was his exact opposite in that manner and therefore had to protect him from everything. That she loved him a little less and less every time he proved that he was in fact capable of doing such things as Roanapur sunk into him. By the end of the anime series, she had begun to realize that he was no different from her and she no longer knew how to love him.
