I've thought back the the polyomino sequence question a few times, but am not sure what the actual set of all such sequences is. What is the answer?
For each individual dimension, there are three polyomino sequences: the number of free polyominoes (when reflections and rotations are all considered the same), the number of one-sided polyominoes (when rotations are considered the same but reflections aren't), and the number of fixed polyominoes (where even rotations count as different polyominoes).
The first two sequences both converge to the same sequence as dimension increases. That sequence goes 1, 1, 2, 7, 26, etc.

Final Masters Project: Modelling Progress (Kopitiam Chair).

Several references were analyzed to identify the common design characteristics of traditional kopitiam (coffee shop) chairs, as subtle variations exist between different models. Through visual analysis, key consistent features were observed: a circular support ring beneath the seat, diagonal side supports connecting the backrest and seat, and three vertical cylindrical bars forming the backrest structure. These elements were noted as essential in accurately modelling the chair.

The chair’s leg flow were initially shaped using vertices, which were then converted into curves to facilitate the generation of a clean cylindrical shell using its settings. This method allowed for better control over the form and ensured consistent thickness along the curve. The lower portion of each leg was tapered to create a more realistic and refined silhouette, reflecting how chair legs tend to narrow near the ground.
The same curve-based approach was applied to model the circular support ring beneath the seat and the diagonal side supports connecting the backrest to the seat.
To maintain symmetry and optimise workflow efficiency, a Mirror Modifier was applied to replicate one half of the chair's legs, reducing modelling time while ensuring structural consistency.

I initially had difficulty merging the horizontal backrest support with the long chair legs into a single mesh while preserving clean topology for correct ambient occlusion baking. After several experiments, I modelled this section by combining two cylinders with matching vertex counts then rotated one cylinder to form a “T” intersection and then joined them by bridging edges and merging vertices, creating a cohesive tube-like junction. I added supporting edge loops around this connection to maintain a smooth flow of quads and prevent shading artifacts. This approach ensured that the combined geometry would bake ambient occlusion correctly and allow for clear edge detail during the texturing stage.

The chair model is displayed alongside a reference brief figure representing an average adult height to verify correct scale and ergonomics. The first edge loop is the waist, then the shoulder and lastly the head at the top. This comparison ensures that seat height, backrest dimensions, and overall proportions align with realistic human use. The chair is also model based on online dimensions of the reference chair.

Similar to the table, increased the UV space for areas most likely to be seen so the textures stay sharp, while keeping the texel density even across the entire model to avoid mismatched detail.

Several small cylindrical nail models were added along the sides of the chair to visually indicate how the wooden components are secured together, based on real-world picture evidence.

Two levels of poly model was created for baking texture purposes where high poly details are baked onto the lower poly model. Figure 8 shows a temporary texture test applied to the model. This lets me check that the UVs and basic material settings work correctly such as the flow of wood grains.

Encased within a delicate but unyielding lattice of interwoven golden and tin filaments, it forms the shape of an eight-pointed star, each point extending into spirals that curve like Yggdrasil’s branches, entwining reality itself.
At its heart is a rotating mechanism—a floating, ethereal gyroscope of layered rings etched with ancient runes of time and space. These rings turn independently, aligning at different intervals to open unseen gateways and command the flow of fate.
Gems and Celestial Embellishments
Embedded into the amulet are a host of precious gemstones, each carrying a unique significance:
A central sapphire, deep as the cosmic void, pulsates like Odin’s all-seeing eye, imbued with the wisdom of the ages.

so the guild-in-fma au is another one of my incredibly self-indulgent aus where i yeet my guild of ocs into yet another universe to throw wrenches into plotlines, sometimes even on purpose
for everyone except the like..... maybe three of you that have actually heard me ramble about them, here's three sentences of background: the Crossjumper Profiles is a book/series i'm attempting to write that centers around a Guild of eight (8) people who are known as Crossjumpers due to their job involving jumping between dimensions*; the initial plot follows micki, one of the guild members, who has essentially a metahuman ability to shrink anything she touches, including people. i have all 8 of these people rotating in my head but the actual plotline for that book is slower going. in the meantime, being interdimensional* travelers means i can yeet them into various canon universes to develop their personalities more and reflect them through various funhouse mirrors to see what shakes out.
the guild-in-fma au is one of these: i was curious what the guild would look like if they were originally from/reincarnated into the fma universe, and with the in-universe closest analogues to their abilities and backstories i wound up with an alarmingly even distribution of two alchemists, two alkahestrists, two (human) chimeras, and two homunculi.
....and then i immediately threw all of that out of the window to start in on a plotline that involves maes hughes tripping headfirst (literally) into one of micki's shrinking arrays, befriending her (halfway by accident), and then several months later, fleeing in a panic to her for help instead of to a telephone booth when he discovers a world-ending secret and thus averting his own death by use of shrink-ray-ex-machina (because i'm incapable of writing any fma-centric aus where maes hughes does not survive).

One of them throws themselves back, away from the other, which is stumbling dizzily and holding both hands to a head covered in red sparks.
Maes’s gaze falls to the jar in his hands.

He scrambles to unscrew the lid, then, before the red-sparking figure can move, drops to his knees and slams the jar over top.
The figure falls off its feet at the force. Maes flinches; he hadn’t meant to do that. He also had not thought this through. “What do I-?”
“Lid!” shouts the other tiny figure, scrambling back over.

Maes wavers, then, cringing and muttering apologies, scrapes the jar to the side enough to scoop up the fumbling figure in the jar, then flips it sideways and screws the lid on quickly.
The other tiny figure darts right up to his hands and slaps a hand on the back of the jar. Another array crackles across the surface, and Maes nearly drops the jar again as it suddenly grows so cold in his hands that it frosts over. He sets it down hastily.
The creature inside, banging on the jar walls, slows down rapidly. It wavers on its feet. Then, it slowly topples over, and stops moving.
Maes stares down at it, torn between relief and horror. “…Did we just kill it?”
“If it could heal from you shooting it like it implied, it can heal from being flash-frozen once I turn the array off,” says the miniature Micki Taylor. “Also, what the hell is going on, Maes?”

“I—how did you—did you just prevent us from ever resizing that thing?” Maes sputters. He’s already racing to put the pieces together, however, and he’s coming up with an explanation that he can’t believe he didn’t see coming.
“Yeah, no, I kinda lied about my array limitations to avoid being forcibly drafted into the military, I’d say sorry but I’m really not,” Micki shrugs. “But also we don’t have time to argue about it if another nonhuman entity is coming after you.”

The Space Mechanical Features
I suppose the space has mechanical features- shortly- the space is similar to the sea of water- and the planet motion in the space is similar to a fish motion through the sea-
As the fish motion creates waves in the sea – the planet motion energy creates waves in the space – and these waves are similar to the sea water waves- they move far from their sources and can be reflected (typically as the water waves)
The idea is simple - Shortly- It supposes the space is very similar to the sea of water
BUT
This idea can find a direct proof simply- by the next question

Any moving body produces motion energy (1/2mv^2), the planet motion is not exceptional, but where's the planet motion energy?
The planet can't store its motion energy in its own body because it will raise its temperature – and – No planet temperature is raised by its motion-
Now the question is still unanswered – where's the planet motion energy?-
The logical answer tells - The planet motion energy is stored in the space – that's the correct answer- the planet motion energy is stored inside the space in waves form-
By that the waves in the space must be created by the planets motions energies

Simply We can conclude the discovered waves are produced by the planets motions energies and NOT by any gravitational field

The planets (matters) are similar to whirlpools (vortex) found on the sea page
The whirlpool picture is the best idea because the whirlpool dimensions are defined by the water motion features and properties.

updates after beating the game:
i know the general white sequence is pretty widely hated on but i honestly wasnt especially bothered by it? it's a decently funny joke that gets cut off RIGHT before it wouldve become actually tedious. im much more bothered by the fact that the trail to fahr outpost is just three straight featureless corridors with no puzzles or anything. chunks of chapters 5-8 unfortunately derive more friction from tossing a bunch of enemies in the way than from actually doing something interesting
having said that, the x-naut fortress is easily the best dungeon in the game. very involved! it's likewise a bit disappointing that the palace of shadow is a largely linear string of challenges lol. the riddle tower was fun though!
i really appreciate the gradual titration of boss/enemy stats. a lot of rpgs just scale enemies by Making Number Higher, and the fact that ttyd's third-last boss can have 50 hp and still be a genuine opponent through application of peripheral mechanics is both fun and reflective of a general design philosophy of making each battle a puzzle in its own right--quintessential rpg stuff! (it also makes the shadow queen's 150 hp hit REALLY hard)
i love the recipe system tbh. there is the sort of longterm strategic implication (the "honey shroom" line as a way to save inventory space) but i also genuinely appreciate how cooking certain items (eg whacka bump) gives you something thats like straightforwardly numerically worse. it's extremely charming and, like many of ttyd's other design decisions, it adds flavour (lol) to the setting and produces a sort of pseudonarrative expressed through a game mechanic. "a shroom steak tastes a lot better than an ultra shroom, but it's less healthy." i love it
it's kind of funny that chapters 4-7 ALL have (at least) a portion where youre forbidden from leaving the chapter setting. i wonder if the recurrence of that element was intentional or if it was just a coincidental consequence of how they were written
the one bit in chapter 7 where you have to make bobbery talk to the fahr outpost mayor does SO much. i would have loved more moments like this tbh! it's the only time anything of that sort happens, and it's the only time you get a sense that any partner other than goombella (& maybe vivian) still "exists" after they join the party, that they have any opinion on (or stake in) what's going on. it's a massive missed opportunity that koops & vivian are the only ones to get a "check-in" at the end of their respective chapters. the person i was playing with remarked that ms mowz became "less of a character" after joining the party, which i think is a great way to sum it up
the rotating starry background on the moon looks sooooo good. it's a shame that's like the most boring, undercooked area in the whole game lmaooo
the last several bosses oh my god
gloomtail was fun. my sort of "tch, nothing is a real challenge" flippance nearly had consequences lol, mario's hp was definitely in the single digits by the end of it
the shadow sirens rematch is really fucking good??? i did NOT remember it being so much fun. when beldam starts whipping out the buffs and debuffs it gets CRAZY. on my first attempt i was careless and goombella went down on like the third turn, and i hadnt brought a life shroom (because of hubris,) so i had to reset (the only time i did that the whole run!) (i refused to go on without seeing all the new tattles lol)
the grodus fight is also great: love the music, the quirky defence/support mechanic, and the variety of weird spells
putting the bowser/kammy fight right after grodus is straight up genius lol. that resource drain puts real pressure on the fight, i wish that kind of thing was done more often. and i looove kammy popping off on the support role
what can i say about shadow queen that hasnt already been said?? the aesthetics are sick, the music is insane, the hand mechanic adds dimension. i love that there's a huge hype/comeback midway through but the final phase isnt just an omnislash-type free win, you still have to actually earn the victory
i didnt know anything about dbz when i was a kid so i never realized the extent to which the "everyone rooting for mario" sequence is like straight up lifted from the final genki-dama lmaooo. it still hits tho ngl
the epilogue where goombella checks in with everyone is very cute (if a bit cheapened by the existence of the postgame lol). it's a nice final sendoff for all the partners. the bit where she says beldam is no longer evil and is now kind to vivian, though...... i get that it's just there to tie vivian's arc up neatly, but it just doesnt stick the landing or feel feasible in light of the way beldam is characterized for the entiiiire game. it's a bit of a disappointing end for THE fan-favourite character. then again, i know better than to expect Cogent Critiques Of The Family from nintendo games lol
i overall had a really good time with it! my strongest feeling, though, is that i still wish it was harder, more willing to put pressure on the player before the final chapter. like i said before, the skill ceiling is crazy high and theres sooo much room for player expression and creativity, which is why it's such a shame that i never really felt put to the test. ive been hearing a lot recently about the existence of challenge mods, though, and im feeling pretty eager to give some of those a try
been revisiting ttyd recently and it's. a really surreal experience
