There was a bit of a surprised sound that came from the reaper at the sudden gift of affection. Milo turned and gave Oz a return kiss on the cheek.

"Hello my dear." They greeted with a smile. "To what do I owe the pleasure of receiving your affection?"

They gave him a hug as well.

Aw look at fear being confident. Granted Milo started it first but that wasn't gonna change much. Milo took Oz's face in their hands, squished his cheeks and gave him a big long smooch. No interrupting it this time with words. Just a silly form of affection for another year gone by.

They gave him a smile and a light tap on his nose. "You, my darling, will be treated very well this year."

A promise of what was in the future? Absolutely. Milo would see to it personally.

“Well said, Oz.” They smiled, turning a bit surprised by Oz’s next choice of words.

“Oh, is that so?” The reaper let go of Oz, letting him lead the way to wherever Oz had in mind for such a thing. They probed their mind to see if this was something for a serious situation or something fun. Had Oz been feeling down and it wasn’t addressed? Did Oz just want some quiet time alone, or something more fun?

“Of course we can, hun. Say the word and I’m there in a metaphorical heartbeat.”

It wasn’t every day you saw the great reaper Milo Belladonna without their phone. They weren’t obsessed with having it on them at all times, it was only a constant need for other validation when their mood dropped!

Unfortunately they had misplaced their phone.

“Oz, dear... you wouldn’t happen to know if Polly and Scott had abducted my personal phone again, have you?”

It’s fine they were not panicking or getting nervous, nope not at all.

Ever so shy Oz was. Tiny bits of boldness certainly pushed their way through when it was a kiss to die for on the line. Luckily Milo's kisses only stopped hearts for a brief moment in time.

Leaning over from their sitting position, Milo tugged on Oz's collar, gently pulling the amalgamation of fears into a soft yet confident kiss. They let the sensation of admiration sit before pulling away, giving Oz a pleasant smile with bright rosy eyes.
