s07ep07: ocean’s three and a half

- stewie sings this song by bryan adams and it’s fucking awesome lol like seth macfarlane is such a genius. his talent is so unhinged. i remember watching w my brother and us turning to one another and being like “his voice is actually good” which does not come off as an instant surprise but it’s nice to just remember now and then

s08ep17: brian & stewie

- i’m not in the family guy fandom, even though i prob should lol, but i can see this one being a big fan favorite. every so often i see edits of this episode on social media. brian and stewie have a heart-to-heart moment where they kinda say to each other “you know, if you died, i’d be sad” when suicide is mentioned. these are talks i’ve had w my own siblings. seeing something so dark but so relatable on screen was really cool. this episode is the kind where you laugh, you cry, and you relate. it’s perfect and ends that way too. brian picks up a sleeping stewie and takes them home after the vault door opens revealing a heaven-like light

s09ep01: and then there were fewer

- i actually hate murder house mysteries so much. like talk about overplayed, but i found myself enjoying this one. i always like it when james woods makes an appearance in episodes. the music was insane too. what i really like this episode, what makes it one of my favorite of all time is the ending. by the end, lois discovers who had been killing everyone off and because of this, the killer was going to off lois in order to keep their secret. stewie saves his mom w a long distance kill and delivers one of his best lines in my opinion. “if anyone’s gonna kill that bitch, it’s gonna be me.”

s16ep12: send in stewie, please

- i didn’t realize i had a things for how the writers at family guy end their episodes. it’s like the whole list. sorry not sorry. in this episode, stewie goes to therapy after pushing a kid down a flight of stairs. there’s so much to like about this one. there’s hamilton (i was so obsessed w hamilton), the funniest read ever. stewie goes on a rant on what his therapist’s life is like and it was so depressing, it was funny. like he was just making up shit based off a picture he found in the office. they conclude that stewie makes up a lot, including his british accent to hide from who he really is. the therapist hears stewie’s real accent but he later regrets it, fails to give the old therapist’s heart medicine resulting in his death. we saw a dark stewie we hadn’t seen in a while. he resulted to murder and claimed he was okay w his decision. as he’s laying in bed that night, he has a nightmare. brian comes in to check on him but stewie asks brian to stay the night. “i did something bad,” stewie confesses. half asleep, brian asks him if he wants to talk about it. stewie declines his offer and attempts to sleep it off. but he can’t. his eyes remain open in a slow-eating guilt for what he did that day. and maybe stewie isn’t as evil as he makes himself out to be.

s19ep15: customer of the week

my brother was excited to show me this episode. i have to admit, this one had to grow on me. once it did though, i ended up liking it more than i thought i would. when i watch family guy, i’m watching for peter and his shenanigans or for the messed up meg moments. like there’s so much i look forward to when i watch. lois isn’t a character i’m really there for. the more i pay attention to her though, the more i like. this episode did it for me. in attempt to make customer of the week after failed attempts, she decides to go the hero route. she concocted a plan where she would spread a bag of nuts in an employee’s car who has the allergy so she can swoop in, save the employee’s life, and be praised and eventually given customer of the week perks. not knowing how serious nut allergies are, i think she like kills the poor girl and lois is caught. she’s at home washing the dishes w a stoic look on her face. lights and sirens are heard and seen. lifelong friend and neighbor officer joe swanson is there to arrest her. and she does something i really liked. she kinda shakes her head a little while she still washes dishes. “i’m just washing the dishes, joe,” she tells him. and that really touched me in some way. poetic almost

Can I just say that the sets from tonight's episode was very spot on? I had to look up reference photos to confirm, but the set from tonight's episode was very much like the set from the original dalek story arc in 1963. I was very impressed and I absolutely loved those little details (like the doors). I really liked it.
