Within this suite, SAP HR (Human Resources) and SAP HCM (Human Capital Management) functionalities are integrated into SAP SuccessFactors and are collectively referred to under the SAP SuccessFactors umbrella when discussing cloud solutions. However, for on-premise solutions, the HR and HCM functionalities are part of the SAP S/4HANA suite, and may simply be referred to as SAP S/4HANA Human Resources.
SAP S/4HANA Human Resources is designed to manage various HR processes such as workforce management, payroll, and employee experience management more efficiently and in real-time, taking advantage of the SAP Fiori user experience and the advanced capabilities of the HANA database.
SAP SuccessFactors, on the other hand, is a comprehensive cloud-based HCM suite that includes core HR functions, talent management, HR analytics, and employee experience management solutions. SuccessFactors is designed to integrate seamlessly with SAP S/4HANA, allowing organizations to manage their HR functions effectively whether they choose an on-premise, cloud, or hybrid approach.
