Premise: Ethan and Cassie spend a weekend at Naveen’s lake house before starting their new jobs.

Cassie Valentine woke to the quiet and the dark. It took her a few minutes to remember why she couldn’t hear the dull sounds of traffic outside her window or why the bedroom walls were wood paneled instead of painted a pleasant shade of blue.

They were at Naveen’s lake house outside the city, a last weekend away before they started their new roles at Boston’s Edenbrook hospital. Her as Director of the Diagnostics Team and him as Chief of Medicine.

Dr. Ethan Ramsey, the occasional rebel and wildcard of medicine was going to become Chief Ramsey. She couldn’t be prouder of how he’d started to embrace the role and its possibilities. 

He had inspired her before they’d ever met and continued to inspire her after. And now he would get to shape more generations of physicians to come.

But that was for next week. For the next two days, they would just be Cassie and Ethan and spend this time away from their responsibilities relaxing and reconnecting with each other. 

In more ways than one, she thought with satisfaction, remembering their explosive lovemaking as soon as they’d walked through the door.

The bedsheet beside her was cool to touch and she wondered where Ethan could be at this time of night. The bedside clock signaled it was two o’clock in the morning. She climbed out of bed and reached for her robe, tying the belt into a loose knot as she padded to the window overlooking the lake.

There in the pale moonlight she saw him, his powerful body cutting through the dark water as he swam towards the dock. Smiling, she took the stairs down, her bare feet not making any sound, the silk train of the robe fluttering behind her.

She reached the edge of the wooden dock at the same time he did, noticing how the moonlight made his body appear silver in the dark and the ripple of muscles in his upper arms as he tread water, floating in place.

“Hi,” she whispered, suddenly feeling shy at the heated gaze in his eyes.

He perused her standing above him, those beautiful blue eyes growing dark as he slowly scanned her body, starting from her bare legs, stopping at the crotch and then her breasts, her nipples pebbling against the silk the longer he stared.

“Hi,” he said back, amused at how her eyes drifted down to his bare chest, lower still before snapping back up when she realized he wasn’t wearing swimming trunks.

In the dark he couldn’t see her blush, but the hitch in her breathing and the slight parting of her lips gave her away. Keeping Cassie on her toes wasn’t always easy, but he knew how to take advantage when given the opportunity.

“Take off the robe,” he ordered, his voice rough with thoughts of what he’d like to do her.

She hesitated and he drifted closer. “Don’t make me repeat myself. Undress. Now.”

“We’re out in the open,” she said in a tone that betrayed her excitement tempered by a lifetime of caution.

He grinned. “I know. It’s the middle of the night and there’s no one around for miles. We’re completely alone, love. I promise you.”

He placed his wet hands on her ankles and watched her shiver from the cold and something more. Her eyes stayed on his as she unbelted the robe, teasing him by slowly slithering it down her arms, revealing her nude body inch by inch when she stopped. The tops of her breasts held the material up while her hand pressed against her core, denying him a peek.

“Don’t tease me, Rookie,” he warned with a growl. “You won’t like the consequences.”

Her resulting smirk and challenging look told him she wasn’t afraid. When she turned her back to him, her long blonde hair swept to the side over shoulders laid bare, he gripped the edge of the dock and pulled himself up and out of the water.

She glanced over her shoulder, eyes widening at his nakedness and started to run, but he was on her in seconds, stripping the robe away as he lifted her in his arms. Before she could react, he was running and—keeping her secure in his arms—jumped off the dock.

Her shriek turned into a moan as his mouth covered hers before they hit the water and soon she forgot everything but his tongue dueling with hers, his hands roaming over her body, those clever fingers flicking her nipples before descending to tease her.

She felt boneless and would have sunk if it wasn’t for him. His arm tightened around her waist, keeping her pressed against him, his erection nudging her lower belly. He hooked one finger inside her then another, his thumb pressed firmly against the top of her sex.

Drowning in lust, she started to give in to her arousal when he suddenly stopped and moved away from her. Ready to scream in frustration, her eyes snapped open to see him watching her intently, a dangerous gleam in his eyes.

“I told you,” he said, “you wouldn’t like the consequences.”

“Seriously?” she groaned. “This is not the time for one of your lessons, babe. I’m so close.”

“Then finish it,” he commanded. “I want to see you come. Use your hands. You know how.”

She shook her head. “It’s not the same without you.”

“Spread your legs, love,” he said in a soft voice at odds with the blaze in his eyes. “That’s it. Now, cup your breasts like you’re offering them to me, pinch your nipples until they ache for my mouth.”

He continued to murmur words of encouragement, directing her, dominating her every move. His eyes were almost black as he watched one hand drift below the water while she played with her breasts with the other. Her moans echoed through the night and her eyes started to drift close.

“Eyes open and on me,” he snapped in command. “You can’t come until I say you can. Is that clear?”

“But, Ethan…” she whimpered, eyes pleading. “You said if I wanted to come I had to finish it myself. Please.”

His teeth gleamed in amusement. “I lied.”

Her look turned insolent and she leaned against the wooden post holding up the dock, her hand disobeying his command, her eyes challenging him to punish her for her defiance. It worked.

Ethan snarled, cutting through the still waters so quickly that she barely saw him move until he was on her. The hard, rough skin of his palm covered her hand, pressing the heel of his hand against her core, keeping her fingers locked beneath him, the combined pressure of their hands sending her over the edge.

Waves of pleasure shook her body, but before Cassie could catch her breath his erection probed her opening and he thrust inside, hard and deep. His hands gripped her ass and he reversed their positions, leaning back against the post as he rocked her to completion.

Her head fell back and he bent his head, kissing and sucking the sensitive skin at the base of her throat. Her moans egged him on as she climaxed again, but he wasn’t in any hurry to finish, wanting to prolong this feeling of being inside her, her inner muscles welcoming him home.

She rolled her hips, her lips gliding over his, her tongue teasing the inner shell of his ear,  whispering words of love. “Come for me, Ethan. I’m here, my love.”

And he finally let go, his movements frenzied as she met the snap of his hips with her own. He wanted to keep his eyes open, watch the love he’d come to expect as his due in her eyes, but his climax was overwhelming and he stiffened against her, crying out her name as he buried his face in the crook of her neck.

A short while later, his eyes drifted open when she started giggling, her arms circling his neck.

“I wonder how the rumor mill at work would react if they found out Dr. Ramsey is a secret exhibitionist,” she mused. “I should have guessed it was so when the first time you made me come was against your bedroom window with all of Boston watching.”

“The glass is treated,” he grinned. “The only one that enjoyed the view of Dr. Valentine coming undone on my mouth was me.”

When she rolled her eyes, he kissed her, slow and deep, before resting his forehead against hers. “Want to know a secret? I never even thought of making love against those windows until you asked me to show you the view.”

“Not even with Har…”

“No one but you,” he cut in. “Don’t get me wrong. We both know I have plenty of experience, but there are some things that I never even considered doing before you came along. I never trusted anyone enough to let go completely, not just physically but emotionally, to be vulnerable. But with you, I know I can.”

She heard the sincerity in his voice and knew what it cost him to give her the words. “Thank you for trusting me, Ethan. I hope you know it’s the same for me. No one before you ever made me feel this way. I love you.”

“I love you too, Cassie. Always only you.”

She smiled at the vow and then he was kissing her, a soft caress that made her shiver more than their lovemaking.

“I’m freezing,” she said, laughing at the mundane thought. “Since you dumped me in a cold lake, Dr. Ramsey. I hope you’re planning to warm me up too.”

“Didn’t I just do that?” he teased, but he held her hand and led her to the staircase built on the side of the dock.

She climbed up, water dripping on the wooden slats as she walked over to where her robe had fallen to the ground. He grasped the edge of the dock and climbed out of the water in an easy, practiced move, and reached for the stack of towels he’d brought out earlier.

Quickly drying himself and her, he took her hand and led her out of the moonlit dock to the living room inside. He took a throw from the back of the couch and spread it in front of the fireplace. He lit the fire and joined her on the floor, folding her in his arms, her head resting on his chest.

As flames flickered on the walls, and darkness gave way to dawn, Ethan never knew when he fell asleep. But when he awoke, Cassie was still in his arms and all was right in his world.

JATP characters as chess pieces cause why not.

Julie- Queen. The queen piece can move in any direction as far as they aren't interrupted, Julie has the potential to go far at anything she puts her mind to as long as there isn't a significant obstruction. Plus with her ghost adjacent powers? I’m betting she's the most powerful piece on her board.

Caleb- Rook. I debated having Caleb as another queen because of his stamp/powers but I think he's actually a bit more brute force than potential. The way he acts to get the boys as his band is very straight forward, one offer then straight to the stamps. The rook mirrors this- horizontal or vertical only, no compromise.

Flynn- King. This one might seem weird cause the king is the most important piece on the board and Flynn is often overlooked, but I’d argue that she’s the most important person to Julie. Flynn is so important to Julie that she stays in music class for a long time after she felt she couldn't play and Flynn shows up in her dream box. The king doesn't have much power alone but can support other pieces and Flynn supports Julie so wholeheartedly it only took one song for her to be on board with ghosts.

Luke- Bishop. Lukes not afraid to take a slightly diagonal route to where he wants to be (book clubs anyone?). I also think of the bishop as the fast piece because it’s not often completely obstructed and if any one wants to go fast its Luke. He wants to experience everything and connect with everyone and he wants to have done it yesterday.

Reggie- Knight. A piece that can be difficult for new players to utilise properly. I think it matches reggie cause he takes a while to warm up to. He can also get distracted and take a longer route to get to the same conclusion as everyone else but has skills that are particular to him. Plus, it can be a bit of a wildcard if you don't watch it which has Reggie all over.

Alex- King. Alex’s anxiety limits him from a lot of things I think, similar to how the king can move however it wants but only one square. The king needs a lot of support and Alex seems to have that in the band and Willie (gee Alex how come mom lets you have two support systems). Plus, when Alex is overwhelmed/stressed he seems to want to move or leave the situation and the king does the same when in check. I so wanted to put him as rook so that Julie could have a full set supporting her. 

Bobby/Trevor- Pawn. I’m going off the tiny amount of info we have for him, so I might change my mind if we get more in s2. The pawn is one of the two pieces that can be the first play and Bobby was the first one to introduce himself to Rose. Pawns only move forward and I think that's similar to how Bobby carried on the path they'd envisioned for sunset curve by himself after the boys died.

Carrie- Knight. The knight can ‘jump’ other pieces to get where it needs to be and I get the impression that Carrie has started to make a habit of stepping on and over people she cares about to get what she wants.

Willie- Pawn. The most underrated piece. He was manipulated by Caleb and he was very restricted in how he could behave, similar to how pawns are often used a ‘sacrificial’ pieces and have limited movement. However, when a pawn reaches the end of the board its promoted- which change the direction of the game drastically. Willie changed the game when he decided to help the boys.

Ernest Sinclaire x MC

It was a beautiful sunny day and you were taking a walk around the Edgewater gardens, admiring the flowers and thinking about how far you had come in the 6 years since your marriage to Mr.Sinclaire. You were walking to the bench that overlooked the lake, cradling your small bump, when you felt a delicate thud against your legs and a tiny tug on the skirts of your dress. Taken my surprise you turned around, looking down to see your youngest child Ida looking up at you smiling “mama!” She giggles clapping her hands together enthusiastically. You look back up and see your husband standing there out of breath “I’m so sorry, my love. I know you wished to not be interrupted” he said looking apologetic as her picked up your daughter, “That’s quite alright Ernest. I know what a little handful she is” you replied lightly pinching her cheek as you smiled at her. “Ida poo!” She says innocently and she looks up at her father who face screws up in displeasure as he feels the warmth in his arm. You look at Ida and then burst out laughing “Oh Ernest. Are you ever going to get used to this? We are about to have out 3rd child together after all” you say and he puts Ida down, who takes both your hands as you head back towards the house, resting your free hand on your stomach. He looks at you “Most likely not my love. But for you I would do it a thousand times over” he smiles at you adoringly as you reach the door, he opens it and you step inside. As he shirts the door your brother Viscount Harry comes up to you “Ah, there you are. Th- ... WHAT, is that smell?” He asks, disgust written all over his face. Next to you Ida giggles “Ida poo poo!” she looks at your faces that are blank with shock that she just shouted so loud, the three of you exchange looks before laughing “alright you. Let’s go and change you before you stink anyone else out” you say, heading down the hall to go and change her, but stop dead in you tracks as you hear your name “yes?” You say as you turn back around, “I was sent to tell you and Mr.Sinclaire than lunch is ready” Harry says with a smile which you return “Thank you Harry, tell them I will be there as soon as possible” you turn back and carry on down the hall to change Ida before washing your hands and heading to lunch.

That night with the help of Percival, you family and the staff at Edgewater look after your children whilst Mr.Sinclaire takes you to Ledford Park for a special evening together. Outside he helps you into the carriage then gets in too taking the seat next to you. “What?” You ask as you look up at him, “Nothing... I just love we can sit like this now. No questions asked” he says, taking your hand in his and brushing your knuckles against his lips in a soft kiss. You blush and giggle looking at him “My Ernest” you whisper as you push his hair back away from his face staring into his eyes. Soon, you arrive at Ledford Park and Mr.Sinclaire helps you out of the carriage and leads inside.

Together you head down the halls towards the parlour, you look up a Mr.Sinclaire and see a slight smile playing on his lips and smile to yourself. Suddenly he stops in his tracks in front of the parlour door. “Okay... I need to blindfold you. But all I have is my hands.. uh..” he says looking around, confusion in his brow. You giggle at him and he looks at you “Mr.Sinclaire, sir. Why dont you just cover my eyes?” You say hiding you mouth behind you hand, stifling anymore laughter arising from you. “Well.. Uh, yes, I... I suppose I could” he stutters, moving behind you and placing his hands over your eyes. You stand still for a couple more minutes, feeling his breath gently brush the back of your neck. “Ok, I’m going to move forwards now. Could you feel for the handle and open the door a little?” He says his voice low and gravely, sending chills down your spine as you nod. He guide you forwards and you feel for the door handle.

Once inside and standing where he wants you, he uncovers your eyes but instructs you to keep your eyes shut, the suspense is now killing you. “Oh, hurry up Ernest. This suspense is simply too much!” You exclaim happily as you hear shuffling around you. “Patience my love, this will all be worth it” he tells you, slight amusement in his voice. You wait there for what feels like hours when finally you hear a throat clear “Alright. You can open your eyes now darling” Mr.Sinclaire announces. You open your eyes and as they adjust your jaw drops “Ernest...” you say breathlessly “what is...?” You continue looking around the candle lit room as he stand behind a chair smiling at you “your first gift” he says tapping the chair, you look and realise that it’s wrapped in paper. Looking at him curiously, you step forwards and start ripping the paper “why did you wrap a chair? I know what a chair looks like Ernest. It’s wooden and they’re always some shade of brown. Are you losing your mind because I’m starting to beli-“ you ramble but stop as you finish unwrapping it and stand, taking it in. After a few moments you look up at Mr.Sinclaire, who is looking down at you with an arched brow “you were saying Mrs.Sinclaire?” He questions, but tears start running down your face. He moves to you and brings you into a short but tight embrace as you look at the chair. It’s Ivory wooden frame looks as pale as a ghost against the royal blue, plush cushioned seat and back rest. Then your eyes move to the sides that have swirled golden detail running down the middle. “Ernest... this is...” you choke out between sobs ,but he cuts you off “There’s one more thing one here that’s the best part. But you may want to take a seat. You sit on the couch behind you and look at him, giving him a nod as he looks at you as if asking if you’re ready. As he turns the chair round, you gasp as you see ‘Mrs.Sinclaire’ across the back, written completely in your father’s favourite gemstone. You cover your mouth and let out a bunch of tears with mixed emotions. You were sad because you miss your father, even though you barely had the time to get to know one another, you loved Ernest more that you ever had before for this gift but at the same time you were shocked at how much this must have cost him. You tried to speak but all that came out was strangled sounds and happy laughter behind your tears. Ernest passes you some tissues and you take them cleaning yourself up. You take a few moments to calm down, leaning into Mr.Sinclaire warm embrace as he sat next to you. After a few moments you had calmed down and look up at him “Ernest... I- ... Thank You. This is... it’s beautiful and so thoughtful. It’s... Well it’s...” you struggle to find the words you’re looking for, “everything.” He says, you nod and he smiles back at you “I wanted to repay you with gifts that would say how much I love you. Just like the gifts you’ve gotten me have proved you love and dedication to me. But I couldn’t possibly pick out as many gifts for you. To me, you’re a wildcard so I had to get simple gifts that mean a lot in value. So I got this chair, with the help of your brothers and Viscountess Theresa. Then with the help of one Briar Marlcaster-Daly, I have two more gifts for you tonight” he tells you looking into your eyes lovingly, brushing the hair out of your face and wiping a stray tear away. You stay in your embrace on the couch for a while longer before a servant comes to the parlour delivering a message to Mr.Sinclaire, who nods as the servant take your chair while Mr.Sinclaire stands and extends a hand to you “Would you care to follow me? My love” he smiles brilliantly at you. Soon you’re in the dining room together enjoying an amazing 5 course meal with all your shared favourites.

Soon dessert comes around and you’re just waiting for it to be served when Mr.Sinclaire takes your hand, smiling at you lovingly. “There’s someone here to see you” he says and as if on cue, through the door walks Mr.Danforth carrying a plate, you start to get all choked up again, as you smile at him. You stand and give him a hug after he places the plate on the table, “Mr.Danforth! it’s so good to see you.” You greet looking at him. “It’s been too long!” He exclaims. You chat and catch up for a few minutes before he bids farewell and heads out the door. You enjoy your dessert with Ernest and before you know it, you’re taking a nighttime stroll around the gardens of Ledford Park, talking and laughing with your husband until finally, you reach the bench in the flower garden where you both take a seat.

You look up at the stars and shiver as a light breeze blows over you “here” says Mr.Sinclaire, as he shrugs off his jacket and places it around your shoulders. You lean back and cuddle into his side. “We’ll be up there one day” you speak quietly as you take Ernest’s hand in yours, lacing your fingers together “one day” he repeats, stroking the back of your hand with his thumb. After spending a few moments in silence, you look up a Ernest and smile. “Thank you for tonight. It was nice and exactly what we needed” you say and press a gentle kiss to his cheek. He blushes slightly and you giggle. You think it’s the cutest thing when he gets flustered at simple things like this, even though he is now your husband of 6 years. You reach up and pinch his cheek giggling quietly and he chuckles. “Come on. I have 2 more things for you inside” Ernest says as he rises from the bench. You stand as well and follow him back inside, where you head to his study. You take a seat on the bench by the window as Mr.Sinclaire retrieves a jewellery box from the too drawer of his desk as takes a seat next to you. He hands you the box with a smile and kisses your forehead “open it” he says softly. Your gaze moves from his face to the box in your hand as you open it. As you open it you start to tear up all over again.

Inside sits your Lady Grandmothers pearl earrings and a matching necklace for your mama’s engagement ring. You put the box down on the table next to you and turn to Ernest and give him a deep, passionate and loving kiss. You pull away and he rests his foreheads together “do you like it?” He asks softly, you smile “it’s perfect” you reply sweetly. You pick the box back up and pass it to him. “Can you put the necklace on me?” You ask, “of course, my love” he replies as he takes the necklace out of the box, then moves to stand behind you “Could you...?” He asks, you smile and home your hair out of the way and he fastens the necklace around your neck.

Later you’re in bed together at Ledford Park sleepily enjoying the closeness between you and your husband when he speaks sleepily, “I’m glad you came into my life and married me. You made me happy again after a world of pain and hurt nobody could understand. I hope our souls stay together in this life and the many other that are to come after this. I love you, my sweetheart” with a gentle but loving peck to your cheek he then snuggles down the bed, holding you close.

That night you fall asleep completely content with your life, holding Ernest’s hand over your bump you whisper “i love you too” and you both fall into a peaceful slumber, know that whatever the future may hold, you’ll be ready to face it all. Together.

WWE Money In The Bank - Preview & Predictions

Becky Lynch (c) vs Charlotte Flair: WWE Smackdown Live Women’s Championship Match

One of the champions two defenses on this show after being crowned the champ champ at Wrestlemania, I know previously we weren't sure if they would have the two belts be combined and just have the champ rule over both shows, but this makes it definite that there are still two titles and they will be separate to each show once one person doesn't own them both.

I would imagine the main event of this show will be between this bout and the men’s Money In The Bank (MITB) match, I imagine the men’s bout takes it in a late decision with them deciding that based on Becky probably coming into this second title defense with a ‘knock’ and having to work from the bottom against Charlotte so they’ll want the fresher wrestlers main eventing the show (yeah I know that doesn't make much sense but if Beckys selling alot it will be Vince foremost thought).

I did have Becky winning this and continuing on as a double champion for a while yet, but, I actually see it different today after thinking about an injury being something they add to this bout following on from her first match. Make it Becky getting a slight twisted knee in the first match against Evans and still winning, but against Charlotte she zero’s in on the knee building to her finisher and title win. That way they can have Lynch drop the title and blame it one having to wrestle twice in one night and Charlotte taking advantage of a bad knee, lets Becky stay on Raw as champion and also adds another layer to Becky/Charlotte for when they feud again in the future. But at the same time I wouldn't be surprised for Lynch to retain against both women and carry the champ champ gimmick for longer, if its a ratings success in her segments and shes still moving big numbers of merchandise that is....  - CHARLOTTE 

Seth Rollins (c) vs AJ Styles - WWE Universal Title Match

I get the feeling this match will be given good time in the middle of the show but will get overlooked due to the placement on the card sadly. Two great wrestlers here and the match should be quality, the hype videos have been superb showing both guys alot younger and their progressions to get to this point from wrestling each other pre WWE.

Im not keen on the slight heel actions of Styles in the build up here, but sometimes they have issues when having title matches be face vs face and have to go back and have one of them play the slight heel. I imagine once this feuds wrapped up that Styles goes back to being 100% face and quickly going into another feud.

In terms of a winner here we cant look past Rollins retaining his belt, he isnt dropping it this quickly and nor should he. For me his reign hasn't felt anything special just yet, so hopefully this can be the springboard in having a great match and that leading to him being THE focus of Raw for the next few weeks - ROLLINS

Kofi Kingston (c) vs Kevin Owens - WWE Championship Match

Is it just me that isnt feeling the Kofi title win? In a different way to Rollins in that Kofi doesn't seem a champion to me at all yet, him wearing the world title looks weird and most weeks has been in matches featuring guys better than him and all I can see is other wrestlers that should be holding that belt, not sure that’s the way I should be thinking lol

In my head I feel they may think about swapping the belt early, may just be me though, I feel Owens as a heel champion has more legs to it than Kofi as champion does - OWENS 

Roman Reigns vs Elias

Im glad that Elias is getting a big feud here against Roman after moving to Smackdown Live, and hopefully they get some decent time here for Elias to show some fire and talent and not just revert to rest holds like they have him do usually on tv.

But lets not get mistaken here, there’s no chance Elias is winning unless multiple people run in to cost Reigns the win - REIGNS

The Miz vs Shane McMahon - Cage Match

We all know this company, Shane won at Wrestlemania so Miz wins here to make it 50/50. Shane goes for a big stunt from the top, Miz attempts to look a tough guy fighting in the cage while Shane runs away - MIZ

Becky Lynch (c) vs Lacey Evans - WWE Raw Women’s Championship Match

The second title match on the PPV for Becky against the newest threat for her belt in Lacey Evans, sorry The Sassy Southern Belle Lacey Evans.

When looking at the others I guess I could see other winners in Andrade, Ricochet, Balor or Ali. Ali and Andrade would need some very solid pushes and focus but would lead to some very fresh threats around the world title scene, and that’s something they are desperate for lately so may be a factor in deciding the potential winner tonight. Ricochet and Balor are guys I would have zero problem in pushing them big time through the summer for the world title, as both guys will fit in there no problem, I just dont see it yet sadly - MCINTYRE
