Part 8 - Prayer Tower

[ Harajuku Tower ]

Masaki will overhear Takaharu arguing with Rei:

Takaharu: “Why are the Angels bringing a war to Makai, Rei? There’s good, kind Demons there—why are they ignoring that fact!?”

Rei: “I have no answer for this. Have even I begun to question their plan?”

Takaharu: “The Angels claim they are ensuring eternal bliss, but I cannot agree with their methods, and I’ll have no part in it!”

Rei: “Takaharu… let’s not overthink this! Surely, the Angel’s great plan will end in a paradise for all!”

Masaki approaches.

Takaharu: “Oh, hey Masaki! What’s up?”

Masaki: “Hi Takaharu! I’m heading back to Heaven.”

Takaharu: “To Heaven… wait—! Are you sure you want to go? Your Devil power will be sealed away as soon as you set foot in there!”

Masaki: “Then I’ll have to go without. I need to meet the Angels and make them explain themselves.”

Takaharu: “That’s my Masaki all right—though I doubt the Angels will be accommodating. Truth be told, I want to hear their explanation and I have a few questions I’d like answered myself!”

Takaharu: “Hey—don’t be careless when you’re running around up there. The Angels are probably just waiting to strike you down while you’re stripped of your power, Masaki!”

Masaki continues to the Circle Gate.

[ Heaven – Transparent Maze ]

Masaki exits the Gate and proceeds forward, where he encounters Uriel again.

Uriel: “Halt! You imbecile… You dare tarnish Heaven with your tainted footsteps, Devil Child?”

Masaki: “I go wherever I want and do as I please, without a thought for anyone else—you know… just like how you Angels do.”

Uriel: “Devils are powerless in Heaven. You still dare to advance?”

Uriel rushes forward.

Uriel: “I said halt! Fall before the soldiers of Heaven!”

Combat versus Virtue. When Masaki wins:

 Uriel: “How can this be! Such recklessness… I was not prepared…”

Masaki can now proceed onward to the next Circle Gate.

[ Elysian Fields ]

As soon as Masaki arrives, Takaharu will call to transfer a DVDAS entry for Neo Pheonix.

Continuing through the fields, Masaki will encounter a fork in the path. To the north is Green Town, to the east is the way to Saint Classico, and continuing south through the forest will lead to the Tower of Prayer.

[ Green Town ]

Green town has a shop, hotel/bank, Mysterious Mansion, and Training Center. Masaki can talk with the Angels in town to learn the following:

This region of Heaven is called the Elysian Fields.

Above the Elysian Fields is the Crystal Ring, and above that is Cosmos City.

The Pontiff oversees the Elysian Fields.  

The Pontiff can be found in the Tower of Prayer to the south.

The residents of Green Town are secluded and live a peaceful life.

The Pontiff is not taking visitors at the Tower right now, so Masaki heads on to Saint Classico.

[ Saint Classico ]

Saint Classico is a larger settlement with a shop, hotel/bank, Mysterious Mansion, Training Center, VinE Center, and a casino. The door to the east of the VinE Center is an Art Gallery.

Masaki can learn the following from the Angels in the city:

This city is named Saint Classico.

The Angels hold rules and order in great reverence and will uphold their laws for eternity.

The Angels are shocked at the rumor of a child holding the power of Devils appearing in Heaven.

Nearby is a shrine that holds a sacred treasure.

If anyone should try to steal the sacred treasure, the Pontiff will intervene.

The Pontiff’s permission is required to cross the bridge east of Saint Classico.

Masaki enters the Art Gallery:

Greeter Angel: “Welcome to the Saint Classico Gallery! Please view the paintings at your leisure.”

Masaki can examine the framed paintings. Starting from the paining closest to the south entrance:

A painting depicting the battle between Hoshigami, the Star God, and Jashin, the Wicked God: “Before the beginning of all, these divine powers battled against one another. The Star God stood for creation and life, while the Wicked God stood for destruction and chaos. The Wicked God was relentless and vicious in his attack, nearly destroying the Star God. She felt herself fading… as the Wicked God moved to strike the fatal blow… the Star God summoned the last of her strength to shield herself. The Wicked God’s attack was reflected, and he was defeated by his own power. The Star God had won. But, she was merciful and instead of ending her foe’s life, she sealed away his power. The Wicked God was no longer a threat, and so the Star God commenced the creation of our world. She bestowed upon our world three divine powers; Angelic, Demonic, and Humanity.”

The Angel near the blank painting is an artist.

Artist Angel: “Did you hear the legend about the shrine by the lake? There’s a special treasure hidden inside!”

Artist Angel: “Oh, I’m an aspiring artist. May I paint your portrait?”

Masaki can decline or accept. When Masaki accepts the offer:

Masaki: “Make me look good!”

Artist Angel: “Alright! Hold still for a minute. Mmm-hmm, good pose…… and my rough sketch is done. Come back to see my painting when it’s finished!”

Masaki heads through the North Gate of Saint Classico and enters the shrine.

[ Lakebottom Shrine ]

Proceed through the underwater maze and find the switch. Masaki presses the switch and hears a noise. Masaki encounters Lindwurm in the water.

Lindwurm: “Who goes there? Were you unaware that I—Lord Lindwurm—guard this water shrine? Hmm… this trespasser is only a child! Regardless, none are permitted to enter these waters, and the rule will be enforced!”

Masaki: “Okay, so, my bad on the trespassing—but this is the only way I can think of to get the Pontiff’s attention!”

Lindwurm: “I care not for your baffling excuses! I will see that you enter an eternal sleep, drowned in these dark waters!”

Masaki battles Lindwurm. When Masaki wins:

Lindwurm: “This power… what kind of power is this…?”

Masaki exits the water to talk to the Pontiff, who has suddenly appeared.

Pontiff: “Ah, it’s Masaki! …Lindwurm was said to protect these waters until the world ended. Have you gained some prophesized power from his defeat?”

Masaki: “I’ve been told by everyone that my power is the Devil’s power. But, I still don’t know who gave it to me.”

Pontiff: “The power of Devils is sealed away in Heaven—yours is something other than that. What… do you want from coming here?”

Masaki: “I want answers… what do the Angels want? Why are they invading Makai and attacking demons? And why are they manipulating humans on Earth?”

Pontiff: “An invasion of Makai…?? Can it be true? And this boy is… You—you were born the same day as Takaharu, correct?”

Masaki: “You know Takaharu? Yeah! We were born at the same hospital on the same day!”

Pontiff: “Yes, that’s right! Just as Takaharu said. So, you really are that child…”

Masaki: “Yeah. Where’s Takaharu, anyway? Is he here in Heaven?”

Pontiff: “Yes, Raguel has taken guidance of him.”

Masaki: “Raguel…? Where can I find them?”

Pontiff: “In the highest level of Heaven—Cosmos City. They are engaged in their duties of governing the divine realm.”

Masaki: “Fantastic. How do I get there?”

Pontiff: “You must ascend to Cosmos City from the Crystal Ring… However, one bearing the Devil’s power will be forbidden from entering. The Heavenly Army has already stationed its strongest warriors to bar your path.”

Masaki: “Don’t care. Already made up my mind. Gonna go find my bro.”

Pontiff: “………There’s no reasoning with this kid.”

Pontiff: “Very well! I grant you passage! To reach the Crystal Ring, proceed beyond the bridge to the east.”

Pontiff: “I hope that you discover the source of your mysterious power!”

Masaki: “Wadda’ya……?”

Clay: “Onwards, Master! We’ll give the Heavenly Army a demonstration of Devil Child’s power!”

Masaki opens the treasure chest left by the Lindwurm to obtain a Double Chamber for the King Raiser gun.

[ Saint Classico ]

Head to the south gate of the city. Paku and Harmil are nearby. If Masaki talks to them:

Harmil: “Heya, Misaki! I’m really bust right now, sorry!”

Paku: “Wha! I didn’t do anything!”

Walk toward the south exit to trigger a cutscene.

Harmil: “So, uh, Paku? …you were at the hospital that night, weren’t you?”

Paku: “Um? Uhhh? I have no idea what you’re talking about!”

Harmil: “Still denying and playing dumb? Come on, you’re breaking out in a cold sweat! I’m not fooled by your acting!”

Paku: “I did nothing! Nothing! ……”

Harmil: “Then why are you avoiding my questions?”

Masaki: “Hey guys! What’s going on?”

Paku: “Eeeep! I must be going!”

Harmil: “Hey!! You’re not escaping me!”

Paku and Harmil exit.

Clay: “…how strange? Paku behaves so frightened in your presence, Master.”

Clay: “What next, Master? I believe it would be wise to meet with the Pontiff once more, before proceeding to the Crystal Ring.”

Masaki heads to the Tower of Prayer.

[ Tower of Prayer ]

Masaki is now permitted entrance to the Tower. Ascend to the highest floor and speak to the Pontiff.

Pontiff: “You must ascend to Cosmos City from the Crystal Ring… However, one bearing the Devil’s power will be forbidden from entering. The Heavenly Army has already stationed its strongest warriors to bar your path.”

Pontiff: “There is a passage in the Book of Raziel which I never understood, until my meeting with you. I pass it on to you, now.”

Masaki obtains Book of Raziel #4.

Book of Raziel #4: “At the end of his odyssey, a new path will open to the world. In deepest shadows, it stirs awake and clashes with the trinity.

Masaki can talk with the Pontiff again:

Pontiff: “Continue on, Masaki! I return to my prayers.”

[ Elysian Fields ]

Masaki passes over the eastern bridge and accesses the Tenkai Gate.

Part 7 - Dark Palace

[ Abyss – Angel’s Prison ]

Masaki finds himself in a prison cell. If he speaks to Clay:

Clay: “What is this place? It’s not in Heaven…”

Masaki approaches the door and sees Setsuna.

Setsuna: “You’re okay! I’m here to let you out!”

Setsuna: “If you’re wondering what this place is, we’re in the Abyss.”

Setsuna: “The Makai Gate here connects to Central Makai. Come meet us in the Dark Palace when you’re ready; we’ll be waiting for you there.”

Setsuna: “To the East is a rest area where you can heal your allies. I’ll see you soon!”

Setsuna leaves.

 Masaki can find Dian Cecht in the rest area. Dian Cecht explains “Remote Fusion” which can give you different results compared to regular fusions. Remote Fusion can only be performed by Dian Cecht in the Abyss.

 [ Pandemonium ]

Masaki can explore this area of the Abyss. Berith is guarding the entrance to the lower levels and will not let Masaki pass—proceed to the Makai Gate.

When Masaki uses the Gate, he is teleported to Central Makai.

 [ Central Makai ]

[ Congola Village ]

Masaki learns the following information in this town:

Stribog has moved into the Congola area.

Only the most wicked and troublesome Demons are thrown into the Abyss.

Lucifer is in the Dark Palace, North of Central Land.

Central Land can be reached by going through the Ararat Mountain area.

 [ Congola Field  Area ]

(Side-quest) Southeast of the village is a house. Inside the house are several Demons.

If Masaki speaks to the one on the right:

???: “*sniff* *sob* …mommy…”

Devil: “There, there! We’ll keep looking for her.”

If Masaki speaks to the one on the left:

Hag: “What!? Can’t you see I’m busy with my spinning!? Leave me alone!”

Hag: “Grr… that geezer dumped this kid on my hands… he’s tiring me out.”

Stribog enters.

Stribog: “Is he making you feel your age now? Don’t say such rude things in front of the poor boy.”

Stribog: “Oh, is that Masaki? Do you remember me? I helped you out with the Rainbow Kite.”

Masaki: “Yeah. Why’d you decide to move here?”

Stribog: “I wanted a change of scenery. And I needed to get away from that Casino…”

Stribog: “Could I ask a favor of you?”

Masaki: “…favor…?”

Stribog: “That child over there is Elphine. He was kidnapped from Ventus Makai by the Angels and abandoned in the forest here. Can you bring him back to his mother?”

Masaki: “He was kidnapped by Angels?”

Stribog: “Yeah. He mentioned his mother is a Brahman—ask him if you need more details. I know you’re busy—only do me this favor if you have the time.”

Stribog: “Brrr. I’m going to warm up by the fire.”

If Masaki speaks to Elphine:

Elphine: “Huh? Are you taking me home to mommy?”

Masaki can choose to leave or take Elphine with him.

If Masaki leaves him:

Elphine: “Waaaaaah! I’m never going to see mommy again! *sob* *sob*”

If Masaki takes him:

Elphine: “Really!? Thank you!!”

Elphine joins Masaki as an ally.

Masaki can use the Gate in Congola village to return to Ventus Makai. Go to the temple in Kathmandu and speak to Kali to return Elphine. Kali will show her appreciation by joining Masaki as an ally. If you return to Stribog after gaining Kali, he will also join Masaki as an ally.

 [ Central Land ]

The city of Central Land can be reached by going through the forest and caves of the Ararat Mountains. Masaki learns the following information in this area:

The Angels are attempting to force their laws upon the Demons.

Fusing Strawberry Frost, Lemon frost, and Melon Frost together will give you the “Frost Trio”

Lucifer is currently in the Dark Palace.

 [ Dark Palace ]

Setsuna, Mirai, and Lucifer are waiting here for Masaki.

Setsuna: “I’m glad to see you made it here safely, Masaki.”

Masaki: “Did you gather any new information about Heaven’s Army?”

Mirai: “Papa is helping us investigate!”

Masaki: “Your…dad is??”

Lucifer: “So this is Masaki? I am Demon King Lucifer.”

Lucifer: “A third Devil Child… some of these events are perplexing…”

(Lucifer is not the father.)

Setsuna: “Father… Masaki also wishes to discover what the Angels are planning.”

Setsuna: “His life was changed, just as ours were when we first began our journeys through Makai.”

Mirai: “And, like us, he has come to understand how his powers can alter the world.”

Lucifer: “Indeed. You should know that the Angel Child is bending to the will of the Angels, and their plan is moving forward.”

Masaki: “Takaharu…”

Setsuna: “Can you ask your friend what he knows about the Angel’s plan? They may have revealed more to him!”

Lucifer: “Masaki… how curious… your aura makes me recall the story of the battle which birthed our worlds.”

Masaki: “Creation began with a battle?”

Lucifer: “Yes… the battle between the Star God and the Wicked God.”

Masaki: “Can you tell me the story?”

Lucifer: “In the time before the beginning, the two gods clashed in the void. The Star God desired life and creation, while the Wicked God desired ruin and chaos. The Wicked God fought ferociously, and he nearly obliterated the Star God with his darkness. As she faded, the Star God summoned her last remaining power to reflect the Wicked God’s attacks back upon him. The Wicked God was defeated by his own dark power, and the battle ended. However, the merciful Star God spared her vanquished foe, sealing him away instead of leaving him to perish. Victorious and no longer at war with the Wicked God, she created our worlds and bestowed upon them three divine powers—Angel, Demon, and Human.”

Lucifer: “……why? Why do you make me recall this story so vividly? Masaki… there is more to you than either of us know.”

Masaki: “……??”

Lucifer: “How—why did you receive the power of Devils? And how do you plan on using it? Hmm… I will be observing your journey closely.”

Lucifer: “The path forward is ultimately your decision. Behind my throne you will find a Makai Gate that connects to Earth. I take my leave.”

Lucifer teleports elsewhere.

Masaki walks through the throne to find the Makai Gate. He uses the gate and is transported once again to Earth…

Part 6 - Hell & Heaven

[ Glacies Makai ]

 [ Loch Village ]

The demons in the village provide Masaki with the following information:

The Angels are blockading the path to King Frost’s Palace.

Angels have taken over Kind Frost’s Palace.

Loch Village is next to be attacked by Angels and the Demons are preparing to flee.

 [ Fairville Village ]

The demons in the village provide Masaki with the following information:

Frost Town was overtaken during the Angel invasion.

An entire army of Angels has occupied the Frost Palace.

A Demon named Dian Cecht is doing research in the Abyss.

 [ Ice Caves ]

With the road to the Palace blocked by Angels, Masaki must use the path through the Ice Caves. Masaki speaks to the Frost guarding the entrance:

Frost: “Hee-Ho! Who goes there, Ho? Hee-Oh! You’re Masaki; the King’s messenger told me about you, Ho! You are permitted to pass, Ho!”

 [ King Frost’s Palace ]

As Masaki exits the Ice Caves into the Palace, an Angel guard notices him:

Principality: “Halt, intruder! I will end you!”

Battle versus a Prince. When Masaki wins:

Principality: “Aah… so you’re a Devil Child…!”

The Principality disappears. Masaki proceeds until he encounters another guard:

Samigina: “Hmph, Devil Child.”

Samigina: “I am the commanding Officer of Heaven’s Army—Samigina.”

Masaki: “Yeah, and so you should be commanding Angels in Heaven. Can you all, like, get out of Makai and leave the Demons alone? That’d be great, thanks.”

Samigina: “You disrespectful little—! I will show you the power of Heaven’s Army and you shall be the one who is ejected from Makai!”

Battle versus Samigina. When Masaki wins:

Samigina: “You may have won this round, but how long will it be until you fall? You will fall—and Makai will become the domain of Angels!”

Clay begins to transform:

Clay: “Ah? Master! My entire being is burning with overflowing power!”

Clay’s rank increases to Hell Chimera.

Masaki continues onwards until he finds King Frost.

King Frost: “Hee-Ho! Masaki, you came to save us, Ho! The Angel’s army has taken over Glacies Makai, Ho!”

Masaki: “Yeah; they’re trying to eliminate all the Demons. But, I’m not going to let that happen—I’ll protect your world!”

Setsuna and Mirai enter.

King Frost: “Hee-Ho! Setsuna and Mirai are here too, Ho?”

Setsuna: “Hey Masaki! Good job taking out that commanding officer—the Angels are retreating for now.”

Masaki: “But they’ll be back. As Devil Children, we can fight them to protect Makai, but…”

Setsuna: “…that won’t stop them entirely. Those zealots will never give up trying to destroy Makai.”

Mirai: “That’s true. I think our best course of action is to infiltrate Heaven and discover the exact details of their plan, so we can be prepared to counteract their attempts.”

Masaki: “Yeah; uncover their master plan…”

Setsuna: “Good thinking, Mirai! We need someone who knows how to get to Heaven…”

Setsuna: “Hey—you’re friends with an Angel Child, Masaki. Can you try asking him about that?”

Masaki: “Yeah, Takaharu…”

Setsuna: “Go find him—Mirai and I will ask around as we patrol Makai. Good luck!”

Mirai: “Yeah, keep up the good work Masaki! Remember—we Devil Children are not bound by fate; we make our own futures! See ya later!”

Masaki can talk to the Demons in this area for new dialogue:

King Frost: “Hee-Ho, be careful in Heaven, Masaki! It’s no place for Demons, Ho!”

Dian Cecht: “Hello young man, I am Dian Cecht. Did the medicine I made help your friend?”

Masaki now needs to go back to Earth to find Takaharu.

 [ Harajuku – Makai Gate ]

As Masaki leaves the Gate, he encounters Takaharu:

Takaharu: “Whoah—we almost ran into each other! You look like you’re in a hurry!”

Masaki: “You too! Is something wrong? I came here because the Angels are invading Makai!”

Takaharu: “The Angels… invading… Makai…? Huh? Why?”

Masaki: “That’s what I’m trying to figure out! Takaharu—you gotta help me out with this, bro!”

Rei: “He is a Devil-blooded mongrel, my liege! You need not give this worthless creature a moment of your time!”

Clay: “Watch your tongue, Rei—you speak of my Master! And you would truly ignore your Demon brethren in their darkest hour, unheeding their cries for help!?”

Rei: “Don’t think you and I hold the same status, Clay! I am different—I am the chosen Partner of the Angel Child! And you—lowly scum—serve the Devil Child…”

Clay: “You wretched traitor! I will humble you—”

Takaharu: “Rei! Shut up!”

Masaki: “Calm down, Clay! We’re not here to fight!”

Clay: “SILENCE, MASTER. I will put an end to this interfering wretch!”

Rei: “Ooh? The violent dog is pulling at its leash, willing to bite its own Master…”

Rei: “I will enjoy putting down a rabid dog like you! Come, Clay—meet your fate!”

Battle versus Rei. (Implied Masaki and Takaharu were talking and ignoring the two Partners as they fought):

Takaharu: “…you need to get to Heaven, you say? Hmm… I have an idea!”

Takaharu: “There’s a Circle Gate connected to Heaven on the top of Harajuku Tower. I’ll tell the guards on the first floor that you’re my guest and they’ll let you in.”

Rei: “This isn’t finished, Clay! Next time, I won’t lose!”

 [ Harajuku Tower ]

Masaki and Clay enter the building:

Clay: “Harajuku Tower… The Gate is located here?”

Masaki proceeds through the building and finds the Gate. When he steps on the Gate, he is transported to a new world…

 [ Heaven – Transparent Maze ]

Masaki exits the Gate and proceeds forward, where he encounters an Angel:

Uriel: “Halt! Foolish Child with the power of Devils… you think you can simply walk into Heaven?”

Masaki: “You mean like how the Angels are ‘simply walking into’ Makai? Uh, yeah—I do what I want. Seems you Angels have the same attitude as me.”

Uriel: “The power of Devils is neutralized in Heaven—you cannot fight us here. Do you still plan on entering? Do you not believe me? Then dare take a step forward and see the proof yourself.”

Masaki can choose to step forward or wait.

If Masaki chooses ‘wait’:

Uriel: “Wise choice. Now go home, child.”

The dialogue will repeat if Masaki tries again.

If Masaki chooses ‘step forward’ (continues story):

Masaki steps forward and falls into the void below…

Uriel: “Foolish child. Those with the power of Devils cannot step foot in Heaven—they will fall into the eternal prison we created for your ilk.”

Part 5 – Harajuku:

[ Hospital ]

Masaki exits the Makai Gate on the roof of his school. Proceed to Shou’s room at the Hospital.

As Masaki enters the room…

Mr. Ougi: “That’s enough, Takaharu! We all know Masaki is to blame for Shou’s condition! There’s nothing he can do to make this right!”

Takaharu: “You’re wrong! Masaki didn’t hurt Shou, and he’s been helping me find a way to help her!”

Takaharu: “Masaki! Hurry—give Shou the cure!”

 Masaki uses the cure on Shou and she wakes up.

Takaharu: “It worked!”

Shou: “What? Where am I?”

Shou: “I remember there was a monster… what happened?”

Masaki: “We were all really worried for you, Shou. I couldn’t stop that monster from attacking you, and you got hurt… I’m sorry.”

Shou: “No… I’m sorry. I didn’t listen when you told me it was dangerous. You did your best to protect me.”

Shou: “And then you gave me medicine to wake up—thank you!”

Masaki: “Thank your big brother, too! He was the one who found the medicine. We wouldn’t have been able to cure you without all his hard work.”

Takaharu: “Hey, don’t give me all the credit! I wouldn’t have been able to get it without your help, Masaki!”

Mr. Ougi: “Hmph. Shou’s recovered and that’s all that matters. All you kids go home now.”

Shou: “Bye-bye Masaki! Let’s play at my house, okay?”

Mr. Ougi: “…I guess you have my gratitude, Masaki. I don’t know why someone like you would help Takaharu, but I’ll accept it for now.”

They leave.

Setsuna – Says Takaharu has new information for Masaki.

Takaharu – He found a Book of Raziel in Makai, that Masaki might be interested in having. He put it in the closet by his bed.

The NPCs in the area will comment on Shou’s recovery and are happy that Masaki was not the one who hurt Shou.

 [ Ougi Residence ]

Masaki speaks to Takaharu’s mom:

Mrs. Ougi: “Hello Masaki! I can’t thank you enough for helping Shou! She’s in her room if you want to say hello.”

Mrs. Ougi: “By the way—Takaharu was trying to call you. Did you get his message?”

 Masaki speaks to Shou in her room:

Shou: “Hi Masaki!”

Masaki: “Hey there, Shou! Are you feeling better?”

Shou: “Yup, thanks!”

Shou: “Hey… I had a really weird dream when I was asleep.”

Masaki: “Yeah?”

Shou: “Mm-hmm! In my dream…”

Flashback to Shou’s dream. A shadowy winged figure speaks to someone unknown:

???: “…we must kill the sleeping girl. Takaharu will blame her death on Masaki. His hatred for Masaki is essential for our plan to move forward.”

Returning to the present:

Masaki: “…their plan…”

Shou: “I don’t understand it, but… if the monsters make me go to sleep again, I don’t think you’ll be able to save me…”

Masaki: “Shit… now I’m really worried about Takaharu, too. Do you know where he is?”

Shou: “Daddy took Takaharu to his work building… they were both acting kinda weird.”

 Masaki finds the Book of Raziel in Takaharu’s room:

“The stolen child and a boy from the past are held, guarded, within the forest. Fulfill the mother’s yearning to forge a new bond.”

 [ Harajuku Tower ]

When Masaki tries to go further into the building, security guards stop him:

Security: “Hey, kid! You can’t be here!”

Takaharu: “Wait! Masaki!”

Masaki: “Takaharu! I’ve been looking for you! Is everything ok between you and your dad?”

Takaharu: “Well… he’s in a meeting with the Angels.”

Masaki: “Did you say Angels!? As in… what we’re dealing with?”

Takaharu: “Yeah… they’re discussing with him about how to best utilize my power as an Angel Child.”

Masaki: “How to ‘utilize’ your power? That sounds sus.”

Takaharu: “They’re leaving me out of the meeting. I have a really bad feeling about this, Masaki. You should leave before they notice you’re here.”

Takaharu goes back into the building. The security guards still prevent Masaki from investigating the building.

 As Masaki exits Harajuku Tower, a frantic frost appears:

Frost: “Hee-Ho! Where is he, Ho!? I’m sure he went to Earth, Ho!”

Masaki: “You doing okay, little guy?”

Frost: “Hee! I found Masaki, Ho! Makai is in danger, Ho!”

Masaki: “Danger…? What happened?”

Frost: “King Frost was captured by Angels, Ho! They’re taking over Glacies Makai, Ho! Save us, Hee-Ho!”

 [ Harajuku Elementary School – Makai Gate ]

As Masaki approaches the Gate, he is stopped:

???: “Aha ha ha! Just as I predicted—the Devil Child Masaki has appeared!”

Masaki: “And you are…?”

Uriel: “I am the great Angel Uriel. You shall meet your demise at my hands.”

Masaki: “Uh-huh. And before you do that, could you please explain to me how the Angels think I’m ‘interfering’ in their dumb plans or whatever?”

Uriel: “Your mere existence is an interference. The Angels aspire to create a world devoid of demons. Since the power of demons lives within you… you too shall be purged.”

Masaki: “It’s pretty fucked up that the Angels think committing genocide is a good idea. Are you seriously okay with that plan?”

Uriel: “The Angels are righteous in their decision. Nothing you say will sway us from our path. The Devils previously defied the wrath of Heaven with powers like yours, denying us our Armageddon.”

Uriel: “You will end your journey here. Come to me, soldiers!”

 Boss fight versus Uriel. When Masaki wins:

Uriel: “……”

Uriel vanishes.

 Masaki can now proceed to the Gate. He accesses the gate and is teleported back to Glacies Makai…
