it’s so interesting to see peoples different opinions of the king show. on tumblr i’ve seen pretty exclusively dislike for the show and how it’s written. on twitter i saw multiple people saying it was on par or better then crash landing with writing and production and acting and that it was like god tier show. i’ve enjoyed seeing ur opinions it’s incredible to see how shows can so hit differently for people.

i know, like i just got a notification of a news article saying the ratings are in the double digits and honestly i was shocked? i’m not on twitter much, and i especially don’t look at kdrama stuff there so really my only source of opinions were from tumblr and the majority dislikes it here. then yesterday too, i was on mydramalist to check what they were saying about it, it is so far rated a staggering 8.8 and someone in the comments actually said lee min ho has never played a more charming character before, and that this drama is so good they can’t wait for the next episode. 

i don’t know how the minds of people on various sites can be so different

And so a few weeks became a few months! 

Life doesn’t always turn out how we expect. When I started on my hiatus in March, I was sure I wanted to come back to Tumblr. Now, I know I’m ready to move on. The blog will stay, but I will go. Spending this time away has been good, and I feel like soon I’ll be ready to enter a new season of my life. If I’m being honest, these past few months have been full of many highs and many lows. I’ve had a few disappointments that made me feel like I was taking ten steps back and zero steps forward. I still haven’t fully bounced back from them, but I think I’m starting to see the end of the tunnel. Just as summer turns to autumn, I hope that this time of challenges will turn into something really good. Fingers crossed!

A few months ago, I stumbled upon this quote. I’ve never been able to find the exact source, but forgive me this once:

“I hope that you become filled with so much happiness that it heals every part of you.” ~ Unknown

This is my wish for me, but it’s also my wish for all of you. I mean, I’ve had this blog for nearly six years! I grew up here with all of you and I’m grateful for every sousenkyo we watched together, every new release we looped until we got sick of it, every graduation we cried over, every drama we obsessed over, every new kpop group we got into, all of it. I love you all and I want you to be so happy. 

I know that not many people are still active on here anymore, but I wanted to say a proper thanks for all of the good times. This community has always meant so much to me. If you still want to keep in touch, let’s definitely do that! I’m still active in a few other places: MyDramaList (I write articles sometimes! You should check them out!) Twitter (I started using twitter back in December, I don’t think it’s a forever thing, but as of right now I’m enjoying it! So please come find me and say hey if you want <3)
