World of Warcraft: Stranglethorn Vale Bonfire Bash 2022

Week 1 Prompt: Flora Frenzy

WEELLLL this idea might’ve gotten away from me a little bit.  But I knew as soon as I saw the theme that I needed to do something with my boy Hunter-- presenting here as the personality Mace-- weaving flowers into Roan’s hair.  Mace loves flowers and is known for weaving them into his own hair at every given opportunity.  Of course my shit brain couldn’t let me just leave it at that first picture...

Like all Demon Hunters, Hunter/Mace are blind, only able to see the outlines of living things and flat planes of grey for the rest.  They don’t remember a life with color anymore, but they’ve gleaned some of it from various sources.  I’ve been dying to draw something from Hunter/Mace’s perspective for a long time and there’s no better time like a deadline amirite nghhnfh

(Also worth noting that while Hunter is romantically involved with Roan, Mace (at this point) isn’t.  #awkwardbutcute)

Tortollans have a longer lifespan than most of Azeroth's denizens, and their storytelling tends to have a span to match - though, for the right audience, some of them are willing to shorten their tales to a couple weeks in length. 

This is for week two of the STVBonfireBash: 'Meet the Locals'. The four characters on the right are: Shazza (soft_orc), Ezrial (mine), Dynamae (kudgen_art) and Tonfyal (armentarius).

Beachgoers may catch the tiniest flash or sparkle after a sneeze, or a bit of movement out of the corner of their eyes after a languid yawn and think nothing of it, but the locals tell of a sprite with a camera nearly as big as it is and the little cave--really barely more than a divot in the earth--where L'oli and her sister keep their unique Collection.

Week two of STVBB ‘22: Meet the Locals! I struggled hard with this one, for reasons I can’t really articulate in any sort of cohesive, coherent manner, heh.

Week 2 Prompt: Meet The Locals

The prompt gave us lots of ideas of the kinds of things local populations and fauna might be up to while our characters enjoy their vacation.  It was too hard to choose between them, so I didn’t!  Here’s a display of a Tortollan couple’s bulletin board pre Bonfire Bash vacation, complete with the brochures they’ve been sent highlighting the amazing activities they’ll be sure to get up to!
