Tourism in kingdom Saudi arabia.

      Here is my country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where tourism is one of the main and important axes of Vision 2030. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has heritage monuments and natural and cultural diversity. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the place of decline of the Islamic religion, which made it a magnet for tourists, as millions of Muslims come to perform Hajj and Umrah rituals every year. As for the statistics, Saudi Arabia was the first Arab destination in favor of Muslims and the fourth in the world out of 130 countries, and this is a good indicator for tourism here. My country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is full of beautiful places to spend your best vacation. We have many tourist destinations and we recommend them, such as Mada'in Saleh in the north of the Kingdom (Al-Ula), Diriyah in the center of the Kingdom (Riyadh) and the Al-Ahsa Oasis in the east of the Kingdom. Kingdom (Al-Ahsa). And the Red Sea in the west (Jeddah) As for the south of the Kingdom, it is the best natural tourist place with the highest mountain peak in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its beautiful atmosphere throughout the year. In fact, our tourists arrived five years ago very little, but after Mohammed bin Salman took office, everything changed. Tourism has become one of his priorities, as the Kingdom now includes many tourist and entertainment places, and many entertainment seasons have come, such as the Riyadh season, the Jeddah season, the Eastern season, and the Qassim season. It was attended by a large number of Saudi and non-Saudi tourists. Large heritage festivals are also available in the Kingdom, such as the Janadriyah Cultural Heritage Festival, which attracts more than 3 million visitors annually, as well as the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival and Okaz Market. It was announced by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, located along the Red Sea coast between the cities of Umluj and Al Wajh, which is located on 50 natural islands, and the project contains coasts, beaches, dormant volcanoes, natural reserves for exploration, mountain sites and ancient archaeological sites characterized by heritage diversity.

The largest amusement park in Saudi Arabia:

Establishing the largest diverse cultural and sporting city in the world, and this city is located southwest of the capital, to be the largest entertainment capital in the world. It will also include a major safari area to become an integrated city that contributes to meeting the entertainment and cultural needs of the Saudi citizen in the Kingdom.

A new integrated city located in the northwest of the Kingdom, will become a global city extending between three countries, and the geographical location of the project contains amazing terrain of beaches and desert that form an ideal environment serving the tourism sector and the entertainment, hospitality and hotel sector to attract international companies for tourism investment, as well as contribute to creating job opportunities and increasing In the gross domestic product for the growth of the economy in the Kingdom.

The largest Islamic museum in the world:

The Kingdom plans to make this museum a main station for citizens and guests of the Kingdom to learn about the ancient Islamic history, and it includes the Museum of Islamic History in the Hizam Palace in Jeddah, and in the Zahir Palace the history of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, the Museum of the History of the Saudi State in the King Faisal Palace, and the Museum of Islamic Battle History in Makkah Al-Mukarramah. And the Badr Battle Museum, in addition to Islamic history sites that include open museums such as Mount Uhud, Jabal al-Nur and Mount Thor.

The project targets two million visitors annually and provides 8,000 job opportunities, and the Souda Company will contribute to increasing the gross domestic product by 29 billion riyals. The company seeks to invest the nature of the region and its advantages, represented by its high heights, its diverse atmosphere and its picturesque nature, as it includes the highest summit in the Kingdom with an altitude of more than 3000 Meters above sea level, and a number of sites rich in heritage and culture, which give visitors the opportunity to explore its authentic culture and its historical depth, and enable them to live multiple experiences from adventure and sports to peace and recreation.

In the end, we have a lot to show tourists here, in my view, Saudi Arabia is now more developed and more ready to receive tourists.

🔧Between Summer Heat and Motor Efficiency: A Reality Every Engineer Should Know

In our desert environments — especially at infrastructure project sites across Saudi Arabia — ambient temperatures of 48–52°C during midday are far from rare.

While many engineers tend to focus on a motor’s kW rating or current draw during selection, there’s a critical element that’s often overlooked: ambient temperature and its direct impact on performance and operational lifespan.

⚙️ Field-Tested Insights:

1️⃣ Cooling efficiency isn’t a fixed value

When ambient temperatures exceed design limits — especially for air-cooled motors — heat dissipation from the motor body to the surrounding air drops. This leads to a rise in winding temperatures internally, often without immediate visible signs… yet it silently accelerates performance degradation.

2️⃣ The windings suffer in silence

Motors contain insulation materials to protect their windings, typically rated by thermal classes like Class F or H. These materials don’t fail suddenly — they deteriorate gradually with each hour of operation beyond their thermal limit. Over time, this leads to premature internal failure.

3️⃣ Not every 100 kW delivers 100 kW

As ambient temperature rises, actual motor output drops — a well-known engineering phenomenon called derating. In extreme conditions, a motor rated at 100 kW might realistically deliver only 90–93 kW.

4️⃣ Thermal protection is not a luxury

From our projects across Saudi Arabia, we’ve seen how a simple temperature sensor like a PT100, combined with smart protection logic, has saved motors worth millions of riyals from catastrophic failure due to environmental heat that wasn’t accounted for from the beginning.

✅ What’s the takeaway for engineers and contractors?

▪️Don’t play the odds in Gulf heat.

▪️Always check the ambient temperature limits in the motor’s specs before approval.

▪️Ensure there’s a reliable thermal protection system in place.

▪️And if site conditions are extreme, don’t hesitate to request motors with special cooling or higher insulation class — the cost difference is nothing compared to full replacement or unexpected downtime.
