Saudi Telecom and BlackBerry announce integrated carrier billing for BlackBerry smartphone customers in Saudi Arabia (Press Release)
 #ichooseblackberry10:
Great news for our Saudi Telecom readers!   In a press release today BlackBerry announced integrated carrier billing.
"Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – Saudi Telecom (STC) and BlackBerry Limited (NASDAQ: BBRY; TSX: BB) today announced integrated carrier billing for BlackBerry® smartphone customers in KSA, allowing customers to quickly, conveniently and securely purchase apps for their phone on the BlackBerry® World™ storefront, and have the charges directly applied to their standard Saudi Telecom (STC) bill.".
This is a fantastic addition to carrier billing that offers the convenience of a single bill with out the need for additional payment methods in BlackBerry World. In addition to this customers will also have the ability to securely make in app purchases.
"To make secure purchases and payments on BlackBerry World, customers will be required to enter their BlackBerry ID username and password. BlackBerry ID provides customers with a secure and device-independent user identification. Customers can also make in-app purchases, such as additional content or new levels for a gaming app, without having to leave the app or interrupt the app experience. "
I am personally thrilled to hear of carrier cooperation with BlackBerry at a time that many of us in the United States face an uphill battle to fight our own carriers for even OS upgrades.    This new feature for Saudi Telecom customers will be well appreciated I'm sure.
