One thing I love about Scream Street but I haven't mentioned before is just the casual representation of diverse, non-nuclear families.

Cleo only has a dad, Luella lives with her aunt, Six has a single mother/creator, Resus's parents have a rocky relationship, and all of that is seen as normal (I mean, they do have way more strange stuff going around).

It never really calls atention to it, it's just the way these characters live, it doesn't need a special treatment or anything. But it also doesn't just ignore it or put it to the side, because it does explore how the characters feel about it. Cleo struggles with constantly being the caretaker of the person that supossed to care for her, Luella's messed up because of her Dhalia's abandoment, Six struggled with feeling like a person because she was never meant to be one, and Resus's depression is made worse by his parents' constant arguing, wich is also made worse because of him.

It also adds contrast when compared to Luke, who's the only one with a "normal" family. And that's the thing, he's the "normal" with a "normal" familly from the "normal" world, and yet, he's as much of a freak as everyone else in Scream Street. It shows that the nuclear family structure isn't inherently superior or better than other families, it just exist alongside them, and it also has room for a lot of conflict to exist, wich can be also be solved using trust and communication.

Scream street doodles!! Ahh!! Started this a while ago and came back to finish it off (sounds like a murder).

It started with a scene from one of the episodes, I can’t remember for the life of me which one it is but Luke has a bunch of cello tape on his arms, so that’s great!

A sprinkle of Cleo in there checking to see if the boys are being gay enough…they were.

Scream street hyperfixation came back full force when I found out that the illustrations of the books changes with the language.. Like- LOOK AT THE JAPANESE VERSION!:
