Kıbrısta zebil bir öğrenci olduğum zamanlarda kocaman kasasıyla bilgisayarımı Mersinden getirmiştim Kıbrısa.

O bilgisayar benim hayatım oldu doğal olarak. Odadan çıkmadan günler, aylar geçirebilir olmuştum. Msn üzerinden var olan 2-3 arkadaşımla konuşur, dizi, film izler oyun oynardım. Bilgisayarım çok önemliydi.  2006 yılında İnternette gezinirken bir saat reklamı gözüme çarpmıştı. Seiko Sportura Sna481p1. Çok güzeldi. Girip bakarken bulmuştum kendimi. Çok beğenmiştim. Fiyatı 750 liraydı. Ben o dönem aylık 90 lira ile geçinmeye çalışıyordum.. Rüya bile olamazdı o saati alabilmek...  Herhalde reklama tıkladığım için olacak günlerce her yerde o saatin reklamı karşıma çıkmaya başlamıştı. En son fotoğrafını kaydettim bilgisayarıma. Dursundu lazım olurdu.. Üniversite boyunca ara ara girip baktım fiyatına. Tamamen porno izlemek gibi bir şeydi. Asla alamayacağımı bilirdim. Ama bakardım... Yıllar geçti 2011 yılına girdik.. Üniversite bitti.. Yüksek lisansa başladım.. Ara ara bilgisayarımda saatin o kayıtlı fotoğraf gözüme çarpardı, bakıp geçerdim. İçimde yer etmişti. Yüksek lisans tezimi verince kendime o saati alacaktım. Söz verdim.

Tez bitti.. Saatin fiyatına bakayım dedim 2750 lira yazıyordu. Zaten uzaktan uzağa takipteydim ancak benim daha bir işim bile yoktu. Mümkün değildi saati alabilmem.. Kendime verdiğim sözü tutamadım. Alamadım.. 

Yılllar geçti.. Saatin fotoğrafı artık telefonumda galeride “indirilenler” klasöründeydi. Ara ara gözüme çarpardı.. 2017 yılında Doktora tezimi bitirince gerekirse kredi çekeceğim ama o saati alacağım dedim kendi kendime. Doktora tezim bitti, cebimde de 3-5 param var. Her şey hazır.. Kuruldum bilgisayar başına.. 

Saatlerce bakınmama rağmen saat hiç bir yerde yoktu. 2004 yılında piyasaya sürülen bir modelmiş. Doğal olarak 13 sene içerisinde saatin tüm stokları tükenmiş ve yeni modeller geldiği için saati satan hiç bir yer yoktu. Kafaya koymuştum bir mail şablonu hazırlayarak Türkiye’deki tüm Seiko bayilerine gönderdim, yurt dışındaki arkadaşlara haber saldım. 1-2 hafta geçti, Seiko bayileri “ o çok eski bir model bulabilmeniz maalesef mümkün değil” şeklinde mailler atmaya başlamışlardı. Yurt dışındaki arkadaşlardan da aynı cevapları alıyordum. Dayanamadım Seiko’ genel merkezine mail attım. Japonyaya. Kendileri de o modelin artık üretilmediğini sadece Seiko koleksiyon müzesinde 1 adet olduğunu onu da satamayacaklarını ilettiler. Gerçekten günlerimi verdim ama alamadım. Yoktu... 2-3 ayda bir araya araya 2021 yılına geldik. Ancak saat oldukça eski bir model olduğu için hiç bir yerde yoktu. Seiko’nun da burukluğu ile kendime başka bir saat almaya karar verdim. Bir çok başka saatim vardı ama başka bir seiko bulayım kendime dedim.. Bilgisayar başına oturdum.. Araştırdım, fiyat kıyasladım ve bir tane Seiko kestirdim gözüme. Kartımı çıkarttım cüzdanımdan. Bilgileri girecektim.. Ancak içim hala o eski Seiko’daydı. Acaba ikinci elleri ne durumda bir bakayım sonra alırım diyerek malum siteye girdim. Seiko yazdım. Benim 17 senedir aradığım saatin ikinci elleri vardı ama camları çizik, kayışları kopmuş, alınacak gibi olmayan şeyler. Zaten içime de sinmezdi ikinci el.. Sıkıntıyla sonlara doğru inerken “ Sıfır Seiko Sportura Sna481p1″ ilanını gördüm. Nereye sıfır amk sıfır mı kalmış diye ilana tıkladım... Lan ne göreyim, İzmir’de adamın biri saatin sıfırını satıyor. Ambalajları, etiketleri, ipleri, sertifikası, garantisi her şeyi üzerinde. Nasıl lan diye incelemeye başladım. Baya baya saatin sıfırını satıyordu adam. Hemen mesaj attım zira saat çok geçti. Ertesi gün adam saatin hala satılık olduğunu söyledi. Hemen aradım.. 2006 yılında eşi doğum günü hediyesi almış ancak bizim eleman hiç kullanmadan kutusuyla kaldırıp kenara koymuş. İnanamadım. Rica ettim, İzmir’deki bir arkadaşımla beraber Seiko bayisine gittiler, kontrol ettirdim, saat orijinal ve sıfır. Sertifkası, garantisi vs her şeyi tamam.  Hemen arkadaşıma saati aldırdım. Saat bugün itibariyle elime ulaştı... Masaya oturdum. 15 sene önce Kıbrısta zebil ziyan yaşayan ben, Yüksek lisansını yeni bitirmiş ben, Doktora tezinin savunmasını geçmiş ben ve 32 yaşımda üniversite hocası olan ben hepimiz o kutunun başındaydık. Hayatımda o saati hiç gerçekte görmemiştim bile. Sadece fotoğraflarına bakabilmiştim. Yavaş yavaş açtım kutusunu... Saat... Saat minnacık bişeydi. İnanamadım. Fotoğraflarda çok daha heybetli, kocaman görünen bir saatti. Elime aldım. Baya ufak tefek kibar... Güzel de ama ne bileyim biraz küçükcene sanki... Taktım hemen koluma. O an fark ettim koluma değil de ruhuma taktım sanki saati. Mandala olmuş benim için. Önemli olan saat değilmiş. Elde edebilecek hale gelmekmiş. Ruhumda bir parça tamamlandı. Bütün gün saatle gezdim.  Sonra düşündüm. Bu saat, bir saatten ziyade bir sembol artık benim için. Takıp takmamam gerçekten önemsiz.. Kullanmamaya kadar verdim. Eskitmek istemiyorum. Saati çıkarttım. Güzelce yastığına geçirdim. Üstü açık olacak şekilde kutusuna oturttum. Farkında bile olmadan her gün görülebilecek bir yer olan televizyonun üstündeki rafa koydum.

Rafa koyarken dehşetle fark ettim. Rafta 1 adet kesik uçlu dolma kalem, 1 adet oyuncak araba, 1 adet masa üstü kalemtraş, 1 adet de amerikan futbol topu duruyor... Bunların hepsi benim çocukken veya gençliğimde çok istediğim ama alamadığım şeyler. Yıllar içinde alamadığım ne varsa parça parça toplamışım, hiç kullanmadan kaldırıp görülebilecek bir yere koymuşum. Tamamen bilinçsizce yapılan bir şey ama bu. Farkında bile değildim lan. Dehşete düştüm. Saat tabi ki en büyüğü ve en değerlisi. Ama kendi içimdeki boşluğun yarattığı bir koleksiyonum olmuş evde. Hiç kullanılmayan, muhtemelen de hiç kullanılmayacak eşyalar..  Şimdi düşünüyorum da.. Alamadığım herhangi bir şey kalmadı sanırım. Anlamsız ve saçma gelecek belki ama bugün içimdeki boşluğum kapandı. Tamamlandığımı hissettim.  15 sene kadar geç kaldım ama olsun.  Çocukluğum, ergenliğim, gençliğim ve orta yaşım...  Öylece duruyorlar yan yana....

Opinel takes care of lunch and fruit duties. The Sparrow lock picks comes in handy when I’ve locked myself out of my locker.
