R.I.P. Maj General Joe Henry Engle (1932-2024) On July 10, 2024 USAF test pilot & NASA astronaut Maj Gen Joe H. Engle passed away aged 91. Engle earned his pilot wings in 1958 and it was Charles "Chuck" Yeager who recommended Engle for the USAF Test Pilot School and the Aerospace Research Pilot School. Joe Engle was part of the hypersonic X-15 flight research program (16 flights) and flew the rocket aircraft three times above 80 Km earning him USAF astronaut wings. Selected a NASA astronaut in 1966 (group 5), Engle was support member for Apollo 10, backup member for the Apollo 14 and was planned as LMP for Apollo 17 but replaced by geologist Harrison Schmitt. Engle flew on space shuttle orbiters "Columbia (STS-2) and "Discovery (51-L) the first to wear the NASA-issued Omega Speedmaster Alaska III chronogaphs in space. Tri Compax, stainless steel manual wind wristwatch with day, date, month, chronograph and moonphase. No exact date on this watch, but the Universal Genève Swiss watch brand was founded in 1894. This example is one of most complex chronograph wristwatches of the period, its functions include days, weeks, jumping months, moon phases, minute counter, chronographic hours and a tachymeter scale.

The timepieces of Eos You may have noticed that Noctis's trendy outfit includes a wristwatch. This highly detailed chronograph features the royal mandala, date dial, a dial with what looks like a map and a another dial with the legend XV Final Fantasy. They even made a real version! Caelum chronograph black. Other characters wear wristwatches too. Weskham has a gold watch with a W on the dial. Camelia's watch has a rectangular dial and a brown leather strap. Monia wears a minimalist timepiece with a white metal band. Dustin wears a classic wristwatch with a metal band. Sania has modern chronograph with a black plastic strap and square shaped lime green face. It also has a compass. And in the present day, Talcott wears a large, modern chronograph with a leather strap. The random NPCs in Lucis seem to prefer wearing cuffs and bangles but some of the the NPCs in Altissia wear watches. The men all seem to wear the same chronograph with leather strap and the women wear a simple wristwatch with narrow leather strap.
