The Hunger Games

Score: 4/5

Things that I like:

The way District 12 is portrayed: grey clothes, people with tired, thin faces, poorly looking houses, a general feeling of fear and sadness (that really shows the harsh reality of their life),

Katniss and Gale's friendship,

Effie's outfits! Effie's hair! Effie's make up!

Katniss and Prim's bond,

The Reaping (taking the children's fingerprints is an addition that makes it even more scary), clothes, a general atmosphere of horror (on point),

The actress who played Prim looks perfect,

The depiction of a train-ride (the food, furnishment, etc.)

Haymitch's portrayal - he's got some charm,

Capitol and its citizens (architecture, clothing, etc),

Caesar (hair, clothes, smile),

Katniss's hair, costume and make-up at the parade (although she was supposed to look more natural),

The design of a penthouse (really beautiful),

Rue!

Seneka Crane talking with President Snow (hope is the only thing stronger than fear),

Caesar talking with tributes (but Katniss's interview was quite bland),

Caesar and Peeta's interview!

Gamemaker scenes, control room for "The Hunger Games",

Scenes of people from the districts watching the games,

Every President Snow's scene!

Most fighting scenes,

Haymitch talking with sponsors (seeing him in action is nice),

Things I don't like:

Gale scaring away Katniss's prey at the beginning,

Gale talking to Katniss about escaping from District 12, (he wouldn't have forgotten about his family),

No Madge,

The memory of the time Peeta gave bread to Katniss (they were far too old, Peeta threw the bread into the mud, the bread itself looked like a rock),

Katniss not telling her mother that she loved her (but at least they hugged),

Lack of drunk Haymitch during the Reaping,

Peeta not having his book charm, nor funny side,

Katniss seems to be angry at Peeta during the parade, for no reason at all,

Why Plutarch did not fall into the vase of punch?

Everyone being so happy about Katniss getting 11 score (it wasn't a good thing!),

Katniss's interview was really bland (it was better in books),

Peeta and Katniss talk about games openly, in the penthouse, instead of on the roof (being observed by cameras 24/7 was so important for the plot),

Katniss finding water immediately,

No gift of bread from District 11,

No statement about why Peeta joined Cato and the rest,

No "You here to finish me off, Sweetheart?",

The kisses between Katniss and Peeta don't play as an act,

Katniss doesn't drug Peeta to sleep,

Peeta doesn't lose his leg,

They don't put the poisonous berries into their mouths,

Katniss and Peeta are in much better shape after the games than they were in books,

President Snow crowning only Katniss as a winner.

2. Catching Fire

Score: 4,5/5

Things I like:

Katniss showing signs of PTSD,

President Snow's acting! Snow & Katniss scenes,

Effie's clothes, make-up, hair!

Peeta and Katniss's staged scene before their tournee,

Peeta and Katniss's scenes seem more real in this movie,

Peeta's smile being more genuine,

"Always",

Snow's grandaughter,

Gale's reaction to Katniss's engagement,

Katniss's hair and dress on President Snow's party,

Prim!

Katniss and Gale's kiss,

Finnick! And Mags 😢,

Costumes (fire costumes on the parade were amazing!),

Gale getting whipped because of attacking Peacekeeper, not because of hunting,

Katniss's mother's healing skills limited to almost zero,

President Snow doesn't mention 25th and 50th Hunger Games,

Katniss doesn't watch Haymitch's game,

100 people do not faint after hearing Finnick's poem :( ,

Peeta being weaker than the others for no apparent reason (while he lost a leg in 1st book).

3. Mockingjay Part 1

Score: 5/5

Things I like:

Finnick's and Katniss talking about their trauma (kind of),

Portrayal of District 13,

President Snow's speech,

Buttercup making his grand comeback,

Josh Hutcherson's and Jennifer Lawrence's acting skills getting better and better,

Prim and Katniss's bond,

Effie being Effie,

Gale,

Finnick,

Katniss Everdeen's acting skills are marvelously awful!

Haymitch being Katniss's friend,

Hospital and battle scenes in District 8,

The Hanging Tree song,

Josh Hutcherson's make-up is AMAZING,

Finnick and Katniss's scenes,

Finnick's speech during Peeta's rescue,

Katniss talking with President Snow,

The whole scene when Katniss sees Peeta after a long time (Josh's acting skills are wild here!),

Mostly everything.

Things I don't like:

It is probably the most boring part, in my opinion,

Peeta saying "All I Know Is That I Would've Saved Myself A Lot Of Suffering If I'd Just Given That Bread To The Pig." (he wouldn't...),

Katniss' hair and skin is too perfect...

4. Mockingjay Part 2

Score: 5/5

Things I like:

Josh and Jennifer acting skills (Peeta's scenes are perfect),

Katniss' speech (Turn your weapon to Capitol),

President Snow's scenes,

Johanna & Katniss scenes,

Annie and Finnick's wedding was sweet, but I didn't like the fact there weren't any District 4 customs, nor Peeta's cake...

All scenes in Capitol,

Peeta and Gale's talk,

Katniss/Peeta moments,

Katniss grieving Prim moment (although it is very short),

Growing back together scene,

Soundtrack,

Epilogue! (It was different in the books, but the last scene - Katniss and Peeta with their babies - is so heart-warming).

What I don't like:

No Delly (his friendship with Peeta was so cute), I think that Prim would be too close to Katniss to talk with Peeta,

Lack of District 4's wedding customs and the lack of Peeta's cake during Annie and Finnick's wedding,

Katniss's hair and skin is far too perfect...

Katniss' first grief was not shown well,

No bonding moment between Katniss and her mother,

Coin's death scene seems unnatural.

To sum it up - after rewatching the movies I was so surprised to find out how much I enjoyed them! They are not books, obviously, but amazing on their own. Thanks for the question, @curiousnonny !
