26) Shaun Ellis, Penny Junor, Żyjący z wilkami, Wydawnictwo W.A.B., Warszawa 2011 - historia i legendy znają fenomen tzw. Na swoją wyprawę badawczą zabrał jedynie kawałki sznurka i drutu, by zastawiać wnyki. Wszystko to autor robił, by maksymalnie upodobnić się zapachem do dzikiego wilka i zwiększyć szanse bycia przyjętym do watahy. Te same wnioski zastosował z powodzeniem w tresurze psów, doradzając i skutecznie pomagając zarówno hodowcom indywidualnym jak i instytucjonalnym. Z pewnością wywody autora dotyczące behawioru wilka i psa również można by rozbudować.

Full House vote on impeachment coming soon; UK vote leaves Johnson in the clear and Corbyn out of a job.

The committee has spoken
After two days of panel deliberation and infighting, the House Judiciary Committee voted to approve the drafted articles of impeachment against President Trump. [CNBC / Yelena Dzhanova and Christina Wilkie]
Drafted by the committee earlier this week, the articles bring two charges against President Trump: abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. [Vox / Andrew Prokop]

Tories hold on to power in Thursday’s UK election
By a margin of 365 to 203, the United Kingdom’s Conservative Party claimed a victory over the Labour Party in parliamentary elections on Thursday. [BBC / Becky Morton, Chris Lansdown, Francesca Gillett, and Dulcie Lee]
“[Conservative Prime Minister] Boris Johnson now has five years in power. Brexit will happen. Labour faces an existential question about its future — yet again,” said Tony Travers, a professor of politics at the London School of Economics. [New York Times / Mark Landler and Stephen Castle]
While the vote doesn’t reflect the largely negative perceptions of Johnson or a belief in his ability to govern, it does testify to dislike of Jeremy Corbyn, Labour’s left-wing leader who tried to please voters on both sides of the Brexit divide. [Vox / Zack Beauchamp]
Across the UK’s territories, election victory was less certain for the Tories, a fact that could morph into a problem for Johnson down the road if the divisions continue to grow. [CNN / Stephen Collinson]
Corbyn has promised to resign from his position at the head of Labour at the end of this year, in response to the crushing defeat of Thursday’s election. [Vox / Jen Kirby]

A hidden underground space in a busy city is transformed into an immersive sanctuary. Under a Victorian shopping arcade, a space void of physical content is filled with floating motion graphics emerging from the brick walls of the deep basement hideaway. Arresting imagery glides across the brickwork, vaulted ceilings and chambers of the subterranean location, filling the architecture with dreamlike skyscapes. The work uses 3D scanning, projection mapping and mobile phones equipped with augmented reality software to allow the audience to interact with the projections. Visitors will find themselves immersed in a fluid environment of simulated clouds and skies that change in response to how they interact with the installation via smartphone technology. Sounds generated from these interactions will add another dimension to the experience. Tracing the Sky brings together in the same space, two contrasting elements: the sky (air) and architecture (earth). This encounter allows each element to accentuate the presence of the other, overlapping virtuality and reality, tangible and intangible, human-made and natural. Jiayu Liu combines art and technology, creating a poetic way for visitors to observe and interact with their surrounding environment. Jiayu invites them to consider the empty space not just in terms of what it has to show, but as a place to reflect on our relationship with the natural, in this case the atmosphere and encompassing skies. Woodward broke dry and Van Boening ran the rack to win the set and force a second set in the true double-elimination format.
Woodward and Van Boening traded games in the second set tied at 4-4. When Van Boening played a safe on a 3 ball. Woodward called the nine, which was hanging in the side pocket, kicked the 3 ball and the cue ball caromed off to make the shot and allow Woodward a run out to gain a 5-4 lead in the match. Woodward broke and had a tough layout, but after making two tough bank shots, he was able to run the rack, putting himself on the hill.
