SimSprout Legacy Challenge

The SimSprout Legacy Challenge

NOTE: This legacy challenge isn’t solely based around gardening/farming life!! I just thought it would be cute to theme plants that give off a certain vibe with sims!  

GENERAL RULES

No money cheats are allowed, this means no freerealestate OR even taking money from whomever moves into your household (unless stated otherwise). 

Finish the goals stated for each generation.  

You move on to the next generation whenever the current generational goals are complete.  

You don’t have to use all 3 traits provided for each generation, but it is highly recommended. 

Play on whatever lifespan you wish. Although, normal lifespan is recommended!

These are just some rules to make the challenge, well, a challenge! Obviously you should play however you want! Do whatever is most fun for you! :) 

quick ps: I took inspiration from a TON of other legacy challenges! Also, unfortunately, this is not a base game friendly challenge! If enough people enjoy this one, I will attempt to make another with the same premisses, but base game friendly!

Generation 1: Ivy 

You grew up with not much.. Your parents left you with absolutely nothing and never allowed you to go out and make any friends. Your goal in life is to live as lavishly as possible and make a lot of friends. 

Traits: Materialistic, Ambitious, Outgoing 

Aspiration: Friend of the World

Career: Freelance Writer 

Goals

Must complete Friend of the World aspiration 

Have 3 kids 

Write at least 3 books, named after your children, each one needing to be of excellent quality 

Achieve at least 5 raises in the Freelance Writer career 

Become the leader of a popular club, and use your points to max out the number of sims allowed to join 

Generation 2: Poppy 

Your parents weren’t very present in your life due to them working and constantly going out with friends. Because of this, you became shy and sheltered. But with all the pressure your parents always put on you, you always feel stressed and anxious, and always feeling like you need to be perfect- this makes you feel as if you need to stick with the same hobbies and careers, but you almost never can.. 

Traits: Shy, Clumsy, Practice Makes Perfect

Aspiration: Renaissance Sim 

Careers: Business, Engineer, Astronaut (you will stick with this career) 

Goals: 

Complete Renaissance Sim aspiration 

Max at least 2 skills of your choosing

Only have 2 close friends 

Have one child with someone, but then they leave you to be a single parent

Marry when you become an elder 

Generation 3: Jasmine

You grew up with a nearly perfect childhood. Your parent loved you very much, but seeing as your parent never got married until they were an elder, you have a skewed view on love and relationships. You prioritize sims that you should not. Due to this, you don’t do well in your career. 

Traits: Romantic, Self-Absorbed, Evil 

Aspiration: Serial Romantic 

Career: Player’s choice  

Goals: 

Complete the Serial Romantic aspiration 

Never max out your career

Get married once as a young adult and then never again 

Have 4 children all with different partners 

Have no close/good relationship with 3 of your children, but a good relationship with 1, that 1 being your favorite of the 4. 

Generation 4: Briar 

Never being your parent’s favorite, always stuck with you. However, you always maintained a close bond with your other 2 siblings, but never your parent’s favorite. You and your 2 siblings grew up to resent said favorite. However, with all the hate you hold in your heart, there’s also love. You are very close with your grandparent (gen 2), and will often seek advice from them, but never from your parent. 

Traits: Romantically Reserved, Loyal, Overachiever 

Aspiration: Super Parent 

Career: Politician (Charity Organizer Branch)

Goals:

Complete 2/4 levels of the Super Parent aspiration 

Get to at least level 8 of the Politician career 

Have a total of 5 children, some naturally and others adopted

Marry your highschool sweetheart 

Have family movie night once every week 

Generation 5: Clover

You grew up with a loving family and siblings. You had just about anything you ever asked for. You are bestfriends with your mom and your 2 favorite siblings. You feel as if nothing could stop you from achieving your dreams and you intend to keep it that way. 

Traits: Maker, Neat, Perfectionist 

Aspiration: Master Maker

Career: Civil Designer 

Goals: 

Complete Master Maker aspiration 

Complete Civil Designer career

Date your highschool partner but then break up with them and pursue someone else (this someone else you intend to marry)

Have at least 4 good friends (not counting your parent and siblings.) 

Live in Evergreen Harbor your whole life 

Generation 6: Primrose 

You watched your parent go after everything they’ve always wanted and achieving all their lifetime goals. This inspired you to do the same.. but in your own way. Work smarter not harder, right? 

Traits: Lazy, Cringe, Party Animal 

Aspiration: Joke Star

Career: Entertainer

Goals:

Complete Joke Star aspiration 

Get to at least level 6 of the Entertainer career

Have a party or social outing at least once a week 

Marry a sim with the Goofball trait 

Have at least 2 failed relationships before finding the sim you’re going to marry

Have a negative relationship with your child (this child will be the heir so if you have multiple children, keep this in mind!)

Generation 7: Hibiscus

You never saw eye to eye with your parent and would often rebel against them, often just to spite them. You have a nearly completely ruined relationship with them and you never want to fix it. But sometimes, you can’t help but wonder what life could be like if you were close to your parent… 

Traits: Gloomy, Hot-Headed, Kleptomaniac

Aspirations: Master Mixologist, Chief of Mischief 

Career: Criminal 

Goals: 

 Achieve the 1st level for Master Mixologist and then switch your aspiration to Chief of Mischief 

Get to at least level 6 of the Criminal career

Repair your relationship with your parent (get to be at least good friends with one another

Adopt 2 children, specifically 2 boys 

Have at least 5 stolen artworks in your home 

Generation 8: Daphne 

You saw how miserable your parent was when she wasn’t close to your grandmother. Because of this, you made sure to be as close with your mother as possible, and even admired her. When you saw how happy your mother became after repairing her relationship with your grandmother, you swore to keep an eye out on her.. just in case your grandmother changed her mind.. You also swore to never have kids just in case you’d turn out like your very own grandmother 

Traits: Mean, Hates children, Skeptical 

Aspiration: Computer Whiz, City Native

Career: Freelance Programmer 

Goals: 

Only have 1 child on “accident” 

Hire a butler/nanny to care for said child. 

Hardly interact with the butler AND the child 

Complete the first 2 levels of the Computer Whiz aspiration, and then switch to City Native 

Complete the City Native aspiration 

Generation 9: Foxglove 

Your parent clearly never loved you and never will. This had a major impact on your childhood into your adulthood. You firmly believe there is no such thing as true love and you never want to have a romantic relationship with anyone. 

Traits: Unflirty, Loner, Macabre

Aspiration: Successful Lineage 

Career: Military 

Goals: 

Climb to the top of the Military career 

Complete the Successful Lineage aspiration 

Adopt 2 children and have one science baby (with only your sim) 

Never get into any romantic relationships. You must stay single throughout your whole sim life. 

Have 3 bestfriends who are also in the military career 

Generation 10: Marigolds

You watched as countless sims fell in love with your parent but they never once felt the same way. You admired your parent for their resilience but you also swore to never be that alone and miserable. You were bound, determined to find true love and make it worth everything. You were willing to risk it all in the name of love… 

Traits: Family orientated, Loyal, Generous 

Aspiration: Soulmate, Big Happy Family

Career: Gardener 

Goals: 

Must complete the Soulmate aspiration and at least 3 levels of the Big Happy Family aspiration 

Have 2 failed relationships but then get back together with one of those failed relationships 

Volunteer with your family at least once a week every week 

Complete your journey and earn the “rebirth” option 

Have at least 4 children 

I hope you all enjoyed this legacy challenge!!! Like I said, if enough people enjoy it, I will 100% make a base game version!! Fair warning though, that’ll probably take me some time! Seeing as I’d have to be even more creative :)
