bathroom floor is about 70% tiled now. the thinset needs time to finish drying finish drying before the last row is put in and grout is laid down. once that's done the shower walls will be tiled and then the cabinets, sink, toilet, and fixtures will be installed. and then the bathroom will Finally be done. The rest of the apartment just needs the 40+y/o carpet ripped up and replaced with faux wood, the walls painted, the outlets and switches replaced (to get everything up to code) and the new lighting fixtures to go in. and then the whole kitchen needs ripped out due to mold but I'm trying to not think about that. tldr another big step has been made towards me finally getting to move into the new apartment and I'm very excited about it.

#i need this to go faster bc ive been waiting on this apartment to be done before getting a major surgery.#I need spayed to not die but if an adult trans healthcare ban passes in texas i may not be able to get the surgery without legally #detranistioning. which i really dont want to have to do.#anyways life is hell and i cant just leave the state because this is where my family is and also the only ocular disease specialist whos #specialized in the specific way my eyes are fucked.#So idk. my choices are rapidly becoming 'leave and go blind forever' or 'stay and risk becoming a staristic'#bad feelings man.#im having to wait on this place because my current apartment doesn't have heat or ac or consistently running water #or a functioning kitchen ir lights that stay on when the wind blows a little hard or drinkable water.#So like. nit a great place for surgery recovery #its what i could afford.#idk worst case scenario i save up and spend a few weeks in a Minnesota hotel.#once the 2024 election cycle is done most of this noise will stop but until then hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
