Welcome to Disventure Camp Takes!
Rules:
•No bullying/insulting/harassing/etc. other users or Disventure Camp staff; if your takes are about a real person, pleasemake sure they’re respectful; if you have proof of a major name in the fandom (ex: a writer, VA, popular fan artist, etc.) doing something egregious (ex: abusing someone), that may be shared for safety and public awareness, but I don’t want this turning into a call-out blog
•No NSFW takes about underaged characters (Drew, Fiore, Lake, Maggy, Sofia, & Nina)
•No takes about adult/minor or incestuous ships please
•Please respect the canon identities of the characters. Should go without saying, but takes about, say, Gabby being shipped with a man or Dan secretly not being asexual will not be posted
•Should go without saying again but if you say anything racist, misogynistic, antisemitic, homophobic, transphobic, etc. you will be blocked immediately; let’s all be normal and not shitty here
•Please keep replies to other takes (on the post or in the inbox) kind and civil; I encourage you to relegate callouts and vague posts to your own blog if you really feel the need to make them
•This blog does not support leaks; if you watch an episode early, please wait until after it’s released to the public to talk about it
•Mod is in college and works part-time so posting may be irregular
•Rules may change in the future; post will be pinned on blog so you can check
Use of tags:
•Negative posts about a character/ship/season will be tagged “x hate” (ex: ship hate, season hate, character hate, etc.); please do not take it personally if I mistag your post as hate, it’s purely for filtering purposes so I’m a bit liberal with it
•Anons who identify themselves will be tagged as “[emoji] anon” and “x anon”. For example “♥️ anon” and “heart anon” are the same person, “🥥 anon” and “coconut anon”, etc. This way you can click the tags and see takes from certain anons on the blog
•Posts with my opinion or update posts will usually be tagged as “mod speaks” and/or “not a take”
•Content warnings will be structured as “cw x” (ex: cw blood, cw death, etc.) or “cw x mention”
•Posts about characters will be tagged “disventure camp x” (ex: disventure camp lake, disventure camp ellie, etc.) as well as with their canon surnames (ex: lake müller, ellie parker, etc.); to avoid seeing hate for these characters when searching their tags, try filtering “character hate”
•Takes about new episodes will be tagged as “disventure camp spoilers” for a week after the episode’s official release (that Saturday to the next Saturday)
•Any posts about season four before its official release will be tagged “season four predictions”
•If you would like my opinion on a take, send the 🗣️ emoji with it!
With that being said, the inbox should be open and anon should be on! Send a take or several if you’re so inclined and have fun! :]

Unveiling the EMS Muscle Stimulator: Your Ultimate Fitness Companion
Are you seeking a convenient and effective way to tone and strengthen your abdominal muscles? Look no further than the EMS Muscle Stimulator, a cutting-edge device designed to help you achieve your fitness goals with ease.
Warm Tips for Optimal Use
To ensure the best results, it's recommended to spray some water on the pads or keep your skin moist before use. This helps to enhance conductivity and comfort during the session. Additionally, if you experience a slight tingling sensation during use, it's normal, especially if your skin is dry. In such cases, spraying some water on the electrode pads before use is advised. It's also crucial to ensure that the round electrode pads make full contact with the abdominal skin simultaneously for the machine to function effectively.
Understanding EMS Technology
EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) technology is at the core of this fitness device. It works by directly transmitting current signals to your muscles, which the body recognizes as bio-electricity signals. These signals stimulate muscle contractions, aiding in fat reduction and body shaping.

La Squadra Names
Based on this naming convention post I responded to and a few headcanons about the members sprinkled here and there added in.
Risotto Nero ➡️ Dante di Nero
Reasoning Behind Real Name:
Named after biological mother and aunt’s biological father, Dante Ferraro I.
Last name came from adoptive uncle’s side.
Family Background:
Most of the biological mother’s side of the family originated from the Piedmont region. Biological father’s side came from Sicily.
Family traces back to Sicily and Armenia, although there is no more connection to the latter.
Biological parents currently live in Sicily. Risotto and his immediate family resided in Turin.
Reasoning Behind Code Name:
Name chosen by Sorbet and Gelato when initiated. Was given a list of names and picked the first one that caught his eye.
Became Risotto Nero after being promoted to leader of La Squadra.
Immediate Family Info:
Grew up with his adoptive aunt, uncle, and younger cousin.
Cousin’s name was Alberto di Nero. RIsotto picked it out himself when he was five.
Sorbet ➡️ Alessandro Versace II
Reasoning Behind Real Name:
Named after his father and hoped to carry the family name.
Preferred to be called Sandro by his closest peers and teammates. Most still call him Sorbet out of respect.
Family Background:
Family came from Calabria, Italy but have long history of family members being from Sicily.
Part Greek and Sicilian on his father’s side by descent.
Immediate family lived in Calabria until they had to move to Sicily when they became poor.
Reasoning Behind Code Name:
Name was chosen by the mafioso that recruited him to Passione.
Original code name was Granite di Versache before stepping down as senior member of La Squadra.
Immediate Family Info:
Grew up with a father and mother. Was an only child.
Had a dog name Dolce as a child but gave it away when his mother became too sick to care for it.
Gelato ➡️ Fabrizio Rosso
Reasoning Behind Real Name:
Named after his mother’s late half-brother, Fabriano “Rico” Cavallaro.
Was nicknamed “Pazzo Rico” as a kid for how crazy he was willing to go to get what he wants.
Unknown whether the surname comes from his mother’s side or father’s side.
Family Background:
Both parents claim their respective families came from Sicily, Italy, but there are no historical record to confirm or deny it.
All surviving family members had in Sicily all their life and no one ever thought about leaving their region alive.
Majority reside in some run-down neighborhood sprinkled around the region.
Reasoning Behind Code Name:
Name was chosen by Polpo when he was inducted into Passione.
Original name was Affogato Rosso before stepping down as senior member of La Squadra.
Immediate Family Info:
Grew up with a father, mother, and 12 younger siblings. Only 7 of them would be alive or not missing by the time Gelato was 18.
Remaining siblings are named Stefano, Leone, Noemi, Oscar, Carina, and Carlo. Carina and Carlo are twins and Noemi was part of a set of triplets.
Stefano and Noemi are Gelato’s full siblings while the rest are half-siblings. He still regards all as his full blood.
Ghiaccio ➡️ Ghiaccio Francescon
Reasoning Behind Real Name:
Originally went by Ariana Bianchi before transition. Named after his mother’s favorite opera Ariane et Barbe-bleue.
Never got a chance to choose a new name as a male so he stuck with his code name instead.
Last name was mother’s maiden name. Original last name came from his step-father.
Family Background:
Part Venetian on his mother’s side. Biological father’s side is unknown, though rumored to be of French origin as well as Italian.
Step-father came from Florence but grew up in Venice before meeting Ghiaccio’s mother.
Family mostly lived all around the world, depending on what they needed to train for, but their home is based in Rome.
Reasoning Behind Code Name:
Name given to him by Risotto when he joined La Squadra.
Ghiaccio personally asked Risotto for one and immediately took the name to heart ever since.
Immediate Family:
Had a biological mother but raised by step-father after she passed away. Biological father was ex-husband that his mother divorced before Ghiaccio was born.
Grew up with step-father and older half-brother. Half brother’s name is Amadeo Müller. Last named belong to previous ex-husband before Ghiaccio’s biological father.
He later became known as Secco under Cioccolata’s control.
Illuso ➡️ Isidoro de Spagnola Fernández
Reasoning Behind Real Name:
Simply goes by Isidoro by his friends or just Illuso to his teammates.
As a designer, he went by the moniker ISI, due to it’s seemly symmetrical appearance, and signed his work as such.
Follows naming convention where both surnames are used as part of his name. de Spagnola is his father’s surname and Fernández is his mother’s surname.
Family Background:
Immediate family immigrated from Spain so parents can pursue their art careers.
Overall family history goes as far as a noble family of Castille that started marrying into the royal family before eventually off-shooting from the Habsburgs in the 1500s.
Only a few distant family members have remained in Spain. Others, like Illuso’s immediate family, have moved to other places around the world.
Reasoning Behind Code Name:
Moniker was eventually used for his mercenary alias and eventually evolved to become the name Illuso.
Wanted to stand out from the other “food-based” code names.
Immediate Family:
Grew up with a mother and father as well as two older siblings. Mostly raised by older siblings due to parents’ negligence.
Older sister and brother are named Catalina and Hugo respectively.
Prosciutto ➡️ Francesco di Aiello
Reasoning Behind Real Name:
Given by his mother because it sounded regal and “Hollywood” enough to possibly make it big as an actor.
No one knows his real name is Francesco except for Pesci during a night of excessive drinking. The latter was sworn into secrecy afterwards.
Takes on mother’s surname but has considered changing it for various reasons.
Family Background:
Mother’s family came from Campania and history goes as far as that. Biological father is unknown but rumored to be from Rome or Sardinia.
Moved around a lot in Rome to avoid getting evicted.
Reasoning Behind Code Name:
Name given by Ghiaccio after noticing how the Stand’s abilities resembles the moisture being sucked out of pork when making Prosciutto.
Initially was skeptical about the name reasoning but went with it anyways.
Immediate Family:
Grew up with a single mother and half younger brother. Younger half brother’s name is Cassio Montagna.
Biological father left the family after Prosciutto’s birth, despite promising to help raise him.
Cassio left home shortly after witnessing Prosciutto kill their mother and became his biological father’s legitimate son soon after.
Neither brothers have seen each other since. Cassio refuses to acknowledge Prosciutto, despite the other trying to reach out whenever he can.
Formaggio ➡️ Massimo Umbro
Reasoning Behind Real Name:
Named after actor Massimo Serato, who his father was a fan of.
Grew up struggling to pronounce his name and ended up earning the nickname Mo for a while. Absolutely hates that nickname now and will beat you up if you call him that out of nowhere.
Was nicknamed “Il Surcieddu” as a kid by an old visiting Sicilian man that he tried to pickpocket.
Family Background:
Both sides of the family come from the Umbria region, father was from Perugia and mother from Terni.
Family history goes back to the 1000s from farmers residing in the area. No one in the family does farm work anymore.
Family is full of cousins and distant relatives that either live in Umbria or Sicily.
Reasoning Behind Code Name:
Came up with the name Formaggio as a joke but stuck with it. Was actually eating cheese when he came up with it.
Tried to get his teammates to call him Gio as his nickname instead but it never happened.
Immediate Family:
Grew up with a mother and father, alongside 6 other siblings as a middle child.
Older brothers are Mattia, Gabriele, Lorenzo, and Tommaso. All of them passed away right before Formaggio decided to change his life around and become a line-worker at a factory.
Younger sisters are Guilia La Porta and Sofia Orsatti. Both have already married and taken their husbands’ names by the time Formaggio first met La Squadra
Pesci ➡️ Luca Passalacqua
Reasoning Behind Real Name:
Named by his grandparents. Parents wanted to name him Andrea but were ordered not to.
Pesci has debated on whether to be called Andrea instead ever since he joined La Squadra.
Nicknamed Lulu by Sorbet and Gelato.
Last name dates back to an old merchant family known for foreign imports during the Renaissance.
Family Background:
Both families come from Portofino, though they have some family history of being from Venice and Milan. However, his grandparents’ controlling nature makes it hard to confirm or deny facts beyond what they’re willing to say or fabricate.
His father’s side has established a successful fishing business for years, even centuries, under that name.
Mother’s side is mostly unknown to Pesci, since she was adopted as a child and grew up in Portofino.
Reasoning Behind Code Name:
Given the name Pesci after a member commented about his background in the fishing industry.
Stuck with it after Prosciutto mentioned it was a good name to have.
Immediate Family:
Grew up with his father, mother, and paternal grandparents. Was an only child
Parents struggled to conceive him and pressured to so by grandparents. Pesci always asked for a sibling and never understood why he never had one until he joined La Squadra.
Melone ➡️ Ezio Romana
Reasoning Behind Real Name:
Parents literally chose a random name that would be simple yet memorable in an academic setting.
Considered changing his last name to his late wife’s in memory of her.
Family Background:
Family history is unknown beyond being Italian. No one on both sides really bothered to track their heritage. Most members live around the world in various countries.
Only knew that parents used to live in France and Germany before moving to Italy in order to pursue their education and careers, and may be French or German too.
Lived in Rome his whole life until he moved alone to study at Polytechnic University of Milan.
Moved to Turin briefly for work before going back to Milan to pursue his doctorate and new job.
Reasoning Behind Code Name:
Had a habit of signing his letter E sideways, making it resemble the letter M.
Illuso suggested choosing a name that started with an M and the name Melone stuck ever since.
Immediate Family:
Grew up with a mother and father as an only child.
Had a late wife named Vittoria “Tori” Ann Shelly, a  student from England he met during a work event and eventually was a classmate of his during their doctorate program.
Melone refuses to talk about  ever since she passed and will get terrifyingly angry if pushed to do so.

Wild Frictions
The Politics and Poetics of Interruption
June 26 – August 22, 2021
Wild Frictions: The Politics and Poetics of Interruption explores minor disruptions, surprising and unforeseen interventions, delays and repetitions and their potential to show alternative ways of existing and behaving. Rather than looking to heroic eloquent figures or stimulating united/ collective moments, this exhibition locates emancipation in subtle idiosyncratic forms of mischief-making, in the playful slippages or in the spaces in between sounds and syllables.
“…wildness as a provocation, a retreat from the conventional, an affront to the normal and the expected, and an environmental condition.” (Jack Halberstam, Wild Things: The Disorder of Desire , 2020, p. 28)
The subversive artistic approaches/ actions/ acts simultaneously evoke feelings of alienation and loss of control, which in turn reflect anxieties and tensions associated with the pandemic and social uprisings of the past and this year – the personal gridlock, the numerous protests and repeated quarantines, as well as economic and social pauses. Through text, video, sound, installation, and performance, the artists of Wild Frictions employ strategies of interruption and blockage/ obstruction/ resistance to critique universal narratives, systems of oppression, and unconscious structural routines that characterize our everyday lives.
„Gesucht: die Lücke im Ablauf, das Andre in der Wiederkehr des Gleichen, das Stottern im sprachlosen Text, das Loch in der Ewigkeit, der vielleicht erlösende Fehler.“ (Heiner Müller, Shakespeare‘s Factory 1 , 1985, S. 13)
These disruptive artistic gestures may create discomfort or confusion, but simultaneously/ and therefore contain an immense potential: the ability to subvert and gently corrupt, to create cracks at the level of meaning and to open up new realities. Wild Frictions invites a poetic analysis and possible transgression of the boundaries that form universal modes of being, speaking and knowing today.
“When the facts change, I change my mind.” (Nora Turato, from the series “I’m on the verge of TOTAL VICTORY”, 2021)
Participating artists: Félicia Atkinson, Trisha Baga, Cameron Downey, Anna Ehrenstein, Nikita Gale, keyon gaskin, Birgit Hein, Steffani Jemison, Kahlil Joseph, Ani Kasten, Christine Sun Kim, Janette Laverrière, Ouecha, Laure Prouvost, Lili Reynaud-Dewar, Jimmy Robert, Pilvi Takala, Banu Çiçek Tülü, Nora Turato
Curators: Sandra Teitge and Amara Antilla Research and text editing: Linnéa Meiners, Jorinde Splettstößer Project management: Sofia Pfister Technical production: Kristoffer Holmelund Assistance: Dani Hasrouni, Markus Hemann Design: Louise Borinski
Kunstraum Kreuzberg/ Bethanien is an institution of the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg District Council. Director: Stéphane Bauer
–The project is funded by the Capital Cultural Fund and the Senate Department for Culture and Europe: the Fund for Municipal Galleries, and the Fund for Exhibition Payments for Visual Artists. –Wild Frictions is produced in collaboration with the Contemporary Arts Center Cincinnati, where an iteration of the exhibition is on view April 9-September 19, 2021.

Christ & Gantenbein designs Roche office to give staff "a reason to come to work"
Swiss studio Christ & Gantenbein has created the Multifunctional Workspace Building for German pharmaceutical giant Roche that aims to offer more freedom and flexibility than a traditional office.
As the name suggests, the 10,000-square-metre Multifunctional Workspace Building serves a mix of uses, ranging from gatherings of more than 500 people to focused individual work or group collaborations.
It is the third building that Christ & Gantenbein has designed for Roche's campus in the German town of Grenzach-Wyhlen, near the Swiss border.
The Multifunctional Workspace Building facilitates both focused individual work and collaboration
This approach fuelled the design of both architecture and furniture. Some elements are designed with privacy in mind, while others have been developed to encourage openness and interaction, but everything is flexible.
At a time when more people than ever have been working from home, largely due to the pandemic, the architecture firm hopes the building will be "quite simply, a reason to come to work".
"We want to provide a space for what cannot be done remotely," said studio co-founder Emanuel Christ.
"We want to equip a workspace with personality, diversity, freedom, and flexibility in order to provide a positive experience for Roche's employees and invite the local community to participate."
Glazed corners reveal staircases in the building's four corners
Column-free floor plates were essential to creating the level of adaptability required.
The architects achieved this by locating the staircase cores in all four corners of the rectangular floor plan, allowing the rest of the interior to be completely open.
The facade of the five-storey building hints at this arrangement.
The main elevations are quite traditional, with horizontal windows divided up by slender mullions and thick bands of aluminium. Yet the corners appear to have been cut away, with just glazing left behind.
With staircases in the corners, the rest of the floor plan can be kept open
Christ & Gantenbein describes the 50-metre-wide structure as an "industrial palazzo" with a facade that "conveys dignity and representation".
The same level of order features in the interior, where the prefabricated concrete floor slab elements create coffered ceilings on every floor.
As there are very few internal walls in the building, furniture plays a more important role in defining different spaces.
So the architects worked with Swiss brand INCHfurniture to develop a series of bespoke pieces.
The repletion features a polished concrete floor and "islands" of plants
For the ground floor lobby, "islands" of plants are accompanied by curved fixtures that include a reception desk, a coffee bar and a serving kitchen, all clad in anodised and textured sheet metal.
A double-height space on the first floor creates a 550-seat auditorium that can be used in different ways. It can be partitioned into three individual halls, for more intimate events or to allow various gatherings to take place simultaneously.
The two upper levels offer a variety of workspace options, including adjustable desks, individual workspaces, privacy zones and conference rooms.
The 550-seat auditorium can be sub-divided to make it more flexible
INCHfurniture has created 10 distinct, mobile elements to structure the layout of these spaces.
These include a suspended room called Sky Box, a combined seat and planter called Forest Circle, glazed meeting rooms known as the Meeting Hubs and a set of staircase-like seats known as Agility Space.

Multifunctional Workspace Building shows a new side to Christ & Gantenbein, a studio best known for museum buildings such as the National Museum Zurich extension and the Lindt Home of Chocolate.
Emanuel Christ hopes the project will serve as a template for the office of the future.
"Our Multifunctional Workspace Building anticipated what is essential for both today and tomorrow," he said.
The building is located at Roche's campus in Grenzach-Wyhlen
"This was only possible through the incredibly ambitious goal pursued by all involved parties," he added, "to create something unconventional, to develop and propose something different, and to invent our own version and interpretation of contemporary collaboration."

[Originally Posted on 21 September 2015]
Austria’s leading international art fair viennacontemporary will take place at its new home, Marx Halle Vienna, from 24 until 27 September. This year’s event welcomes 99 galleries from 25 countries, as well as a series of national and international art institutions, and a comprehensive talks programme. With each new edition viennacontemporary offers a chance for visitors to enhance their knowledge of contemporary art practices, and to discover a selection of today’s most relevant and promising art collections.
Participating galleries include Galerie Meyer Kainer, Vienna, Institute of Contemporary Art-Sofia, Galerie Caroline Smulders, Paris, Galerie Michael Schultz, Berlin, and many more. Set within the newly adapted surroundings of Marx Halle Vienna’s historic wrought iron construction, this edition promotes the involvement of emerging and established galleries from Western and Eastern Europe. Among the 25 new-comers this year are Martin Asbæk Gallery, Copenhagen, Richard Saltoun, London, Hammelehle und Ahrens, Cologne, and Yay Gallery, Baku. Furthermore, the Austrian gallery scene will be participating with key representatives, most notably Thaddaeus Ropac and Galerie Krinzinger.
As part of its talks programme, the art fair will host a series of sessions entitled Keys to Contemporary Art. Co-curated by Christina Steinbrecher-Pfandt, Artistic Director at viennacontemporary, Nicolaus Schafhausen, Director at Kunsthalle Wien, and Vanessa Joan Müller, Head of Dramaturgy at Kunsthalle Wien, this series will address topics such as the rediscovery of avant-garde movements in Eastern Europe, the influence of contemporary socio-critical art and the performative strategies of current art production. In addition, 20four7 – Contemporary Collecting will offer insights by international collectors into their strategies of acquiring and presenting their collections.
Joining the fair’s distinct curatorial category, Reflections, will be 37 presentations specially conceived for viennacontemporary by an array of organisations such as Geukens & De Vil, Antwerp; Raster, Warsaw; Ani Molnár Gallery, Budapest and KOW, Berlin.
viennacontemporary, 24 – 27 September, Marx Halle Vienna, Karl-Farkas-Gasse 19 A-1030 Vienna.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alberto agradece e distribui livros.
