1.  Kenneth Chamberlain, 66  “Why do you have your guns out?”
2.  Trayvon Martin, 16  “What are you following me for?”
3.  Amadou Diallo, 23 “Mom, I’m going to college”
4. Michael Brown, 18 “I don’t have a gun, stop shooting”
5.  Oscar Grant, 22 “You shot me! You shot me!”
6.  John Crawford, 22 “It’s not real!”
7. Eric Garner, 43 “I can’t breathe”
So this was written a couple years back by an Atlanta-based composer [ATL represent!] but it’s, unfortunately, more relevant than ever. Thanks to Performance Today for playing this tonight and dedicating their broadcast to the memory of Ahmad Arberry, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd

i’m bored so i’m deciding to give a life update: i dropped music ed bc i hated it lol. let me be clear by saying i think music ed is extremely important, but the idea of teaching in a public school setting really doesn’t appeal to me in the slightest and i was basically just doing it to keep the “bUt whAT AbOUt a jOb” headasses quiet. the reason i transferred to umd was so i could become a better violinist and network to jumpstart my career as a performer, private teacher, and even content creator. i’m starting my next semester at umd as a performance major and i feel so good and at peace rn??? like it’ll take me longer to graduate but imma use that time to practice and get better and i’m just really excited for the future. i’ve applied for a fellowship position for the sphinxconnect conference for early next year so hopefully that comes through, but yes. i’m free bitch and taking control so i can live my best life!!! fall 2018 will truly be the semester of not giving a fuck
