“Are you finished?”  Zoey asked, arms crossed defensively over her chest.

“Not even close!” Deidre raged, her heart thumping with passionate anger. 

Ever since Zoey had shouted at her that morning, Deidre had felt thoughts of resentment growing towards the young woman before her. 

Zoey raised an eyebrow, defiant. “Get it all off your chest then. This’ll be your only chance.”

Deidre scowled at her. 

“You’re not here enough for Maddie. You just expect me to do it all-”

“I don’t. You just want her all the time. I tell you to take breaks! And also that’s what I pay you for!”

Deidre continued as if Zoey hadn’t spoken. “You’re a workaholic-”

“That’s not a bad thing when I’m setting up the only clinic in this town.”

“-you ignore your daughter-”

“No, I don’t.”

“-your girlfriend is a careless distraction and only wants you for access to your daughter!”

Zoey displayed a look of shock and almost laughed in her face. “Ros isn’t there for access to Maddie, she’s there for me!”

“You’re so blind and naive!” Deidre almost exploded.

“She just wants access to a baby, any baby!”

Zoey cut her straight “You mean like you are, Deidre?”

Neopets is so funny right now. It's a 24-year-old website and half its pages haven't been updated in 15 years. Its ostensible audience is children. The core active audience appears to be nostalgic 20-40-year-olds. Old code means no accounts or pets can ever be renamed. The virtual pound is full of virtual pets named after Justin Bieber. It has an economy and inflation is rampant. New ownership is combating this with the stimulus of random super-rare items via daily quests and events, while the equivalent of Neopian Upper-Crust complain that their investments are deflating. You can't say seaweed or grapes.

there’s something so personal about the scene in fantasy high s1e7 where gorgug calls himself stupid & fabian, who up to that point had basically entirely been acting like the bad kids (especially gorgug) were beneath him & had also been the one calling ragh stupid two lines ago, instantly says “okay, do not put yourself down like that. don’t you dare do that to yourself.” like it was obvious he liked the bad kids at that point but the instinct to protect his friends manifesting as an immediate strong refusal of gorgug’s self-deprecating talk kills me. that boy loves his friends so bad oh my god i feel sick.

Stardew valley is not "cozy" or relaxing... I've managed to save up 15k and all thats going to get me is a second tool upgrade and the final backpack and then I'm back to square one... little to no wood/stone so no barn yet but if I grind for materials I'm still out for the cow and then I'll need the cheese maker. Deidre could hear Zoey’s daughter gurgling on her playmat behind her in the nursery and her heart hardened a little. How much she wished she hadn’t done what she did.

Althea had her arms folded across her chest and she glanced at Zoey before she spoke to Deidre “Have a seat Deidre.”

Deidre refused “I’d rather stand.”

“I-I...I need to tell you both something.”

Althea turned her entire body towards Deidre. 

Whilst she was irritated with the elder woman, she felt a prickle of concern towards her. Deidre looked like she regretted everything she had said and done, and yet Althea felt a swoop in her stomach, as if a massive bombshell was about to be dropped in their midst. 

Deidre really didn’t want to say what she needed to say. She was terrified and didn’t want to see what reaction she knew was coming. 

With a heavy sigh and with tears falling from her eyes she said the unforgivable words “I...I took Maddie last night.”

IT'S SPRING TIME!!!!

It't over 11°C and sun is shining and I AM LIVING!!

Fuck the plantar fasciitis I'm going for a walk and won't return untill I've outdoored a proper amount. Probably visiting a coffee shop to not breat my foot have some coffee and cake time, maybe with a sketchbook.

pepe’s laugh is like music to my ears… spent almost the entire night last night just thinking ab him, the way he laughs, the way he talks 🫠 just constantly thinking about the behind the scenes of chasing the dream where his suit was 2 sizes too small and he just keeps giggling ab it…. i need to cradle him in my arms. ANONNIE I FEEL YOU !!!! his laughter truly is so so so so so sweet. all of him is so sweet. i really love his accent omg, it's so soothing. that chasing the dream episode was pure gold, im so so thankful for rory because he really made it gorgeous. as always!! but yeah omfg every second with pepe made me so soft. like i kept imagining being there with him and giggling with him about the suit... or hugging him after his podiums in bahrain...... 🥺 ive been making private character.ai bots with him just for myself because ive been craving pepe content recently and i just can't find any 💔
