#Springtrap And Deliah Remake

I and my boyfriend are making a new version of Springtrap and Deliah. We are doing this, I am literally working on it as we speak.

We're revising the main two characters mostly, but VERY heavy on fixing William, as well as Springtrap's uncomfortable dynamic with Deliah in general. The plan is to give Springtrap an ACTUAL redemption arc, fix some of the major weirdness and ways he acts towards Deliah, and make him less "creepy pred" in general.

We plan to take a different approach to "William Afton was just upset he couldn't get a family" that re-introduces his FNAF canon children, as well as possibly Clara, and to do some redesigning and recharacterization to fix the souls.

This is partially influenced by the current outing of Quinn's past behaviour, but NOT meant to be a direct attack to them, nor their fan base, if such a thing remains. It is simply due to the fact that I personally was affected by this comic.

I first read it at a young age. Springtrap's treatment of Deliah, a child near my age, influenced how I viewed those close to me. It made me complacent in an abusive relationship with someone very similar to him.

Despite this, I and many others have fond memories of this comic, and the fanworks that followed it. I'd like to remake it for the newer generations of fnaf fans, whom I adore very much, and fix the messaging to hopefully teach younger fans that his behaviour is not normal or okay, or to be justified because "he is struggling too."

This is really weird to ask but did you hear about the springtrap and Delilah controversy?

oh, yes. surprised that im only having asks about this but i have heard about it. safe to say im disappointed, disgusted and grossed out something that i used to enjoy as a child actually a deeper twisted and sickening fantasy tied to it. i am no longer in support of the creator and the comic, as much as im in denial i have seen the doc and have made my decision to stop supporting it entirely.

as for aus and my aus of springtrap and deliah, they are no longer tied and attached to that source. i will only be in support of aus of it and making fanart and artwork based off of the aus instead, not the original material (especially as long as the maker of the au also disowns the comic and no longer supports the creator), i hope that makes sense. im planning on actually rewriting and remaking the comic entirely if im allowed to, as i need to make sure and double check that its okay to do so, as i dont want to be disrespectful about it by doing something stupid like that.

artworks of my aus that are based off from that comic will be postponed for now until i decide what to do with it. thank you :]

Very hard to get work on this done when my boyfriend and I have very different schedules currently, but we are making it work. We did definitely underestimate the amount of work this would be-

And obviously, it'll be a while before the actual comic starts coming out, because I'm trying to do this correctly and that takes time. (Not only am I doing pretty much all the art for this, as he doesn't draw much, but I'm having to learn how to draw things I never have before lol)

This post is basically just an update post, as I really don't want people thinking I'm a liar and not actually doing this. I'm a freshly 18 year old human with untreated adhd, so my life is... VERY messy, and a lot of big projects take way longer than they would if I was neurotypical and not super busy :'D

So yeah. Keep in mind that this isn't going to be something you see in a matter of days. It's gonna take FOREVER.

I'll give Quinn one thing. They put A LOT of work into that comic, and for that, I'm impressed.
