You would be an amazing fit for Carwood Lipton! If there’s anybody who’s not intimidated by a resting bitch face, it’s him  ---  he get’s along with Speirs, after all. Nothing can intimidate him, and when he spots you in a public place looking stressed to high hell, his first instinct is to go up to you and introduce himself. Not to impose, of course  ---  but if he can do anything to chase that shadow of stress off your face, he really wants to try. Your reserved nature definitely doesn’t bother him, since Lip doesn’t need to fill every silence with conversation anyways; being around you doesn’t tax his own introverted energy either, and he’s a calming enough presence that’s he’s easy for you to handle too. Lip won’t ever push you out of your comfort zone, but on particularly stressful days, he knows exactly how to help you unwind. A nice hot drink and a massage after your shower usually does the trick; he’ll turn on your favorite show and let you melt against him, leaving the option of discussing it all (or not) wide open. When Lip’s around you, things just feel lighter, and he wants to leave you feeling the same way.

Eugene Roe would also be quite taken with you! Talk about resting bitch face; Gene’s got resting dead-inside face, and there’s really no reviving him so long as he’s drowning under his medical school load. So he thinks, until he meets you. Your presence is like being doused in frigid water, awoken after a long nap. Suddenly, someone is easy to be around; not only can he breathe around you, but you’re equally introverted, and don’t demand any of his energy. The two of you can definitely just exist happily together, studying or working side by side in silence; sometimes Gene catches himself humming strains of a familiar song softly, but when he glances at you, you just smile at him, and a firework bursts in his chest. The two of you can both get stressed at times, and both have your own routines for unwinding. Usually, you leave each other to it...  until the end of the night, where you come together with gentle touches and tired words mumbled into the other’s embrace. Gene will rub your back and murmur what a good job you did today, and how he knows you’re going to do just as well tomorrow... because if there’s one thing he knows about you, it’s that you can manage anything.

David Webster is not an idiot. He knows not to mess with people who have a rbf *cough* Martin *cough*, and that included you at first. You were slightly intimidating, even though you were smaller than almost all of Easy company, and maybe even all of the 506th. The only reason you two started talking in the first place was because you’d snuck some food from the kitchen which Webster saw, but he’s so snitch so he didn’t say anything. Unfortunately for you, you and every other member from Easy didn’t hear Sobel tell Sargent Evens that there would be a routine inspection to find contraband in your barracks. Fortunately for you, Webster did overhear this. He did you a real solid when he took the food out from your footlocker and handed it to you literal moments before Sobel came in and started overturning everyone's personal belongings. You let out a huge sigh of relief when Sobel left your footlocker with a sneer on his face, but empty-handed. You looked at Webster across to your right and you both slightly nodded in solidarity. You look back at the moment and decide that’s when you two became friends.

You and Webster stuck by each other's side throughout the rest of the war, and even after. Around some of the other guys, you’re shy, but around Webster, you’ve realized you can be yourself. You are one of the few people Webster can talk to about going to Harvard without getting slightly made fun of or called “college boy”. It’s the same Vice-versa, and you are honestly extremely loose and relaxed around Webster, which helps with your stress.

Speaking of stress, you tend to be slightly stressed when in a war zone. The difference is you don’t have a kitchen to sneak foods from at your disposal. This is when you’re even more grateful for Webster because he’s given you his K rations, random food he scrounges up, and even parts of his meal when you're feeling stressed. You tell him you don’t need it, but he brushes you off. After all, “I’m not that hungry anyway”. You smile each time and simply thank him because you are extremely thankful.

You didn’t treat Web any differently when he came back from the hospital. You understood why some of the others treated him as a replacement, but it didn’t make it right. Sure you missed him in Bastogne, but part of you was thankful your best friend didn’t have to endure the freezing cold and face the loss of Hoobler. Despite some glares from Liebgott, you welcomed him back with open arms, glad he was back.

After the war, you and Webster remained friends of course. He used those writing skills to write you letters all the time. Most of it was how weird it was being back in school after getting back from combat. Others were asking how you are, wondering when you’d get to visit. That you did, as much as you could. You even got to go to his graduation when he finally finished school at Harvard. You clapped and the smile on your face was huge, and so was the one on Web's face when he looked in the crowd and saw his best friend was there.
